The great thing about Theatre of Magic is the magic box gives it great replayability. I have the game on Pinball Arcade. I'm really glad I was able to get it before they lost the license.
I suspect that dream will come true soon... Pedretti Gaming announced they will be remaking more Bally/Williams games! TOM is an easy choice due to no licencing to worry about! Hope the build quality is solid.
Brian just sent me mine the other day. I went ahead and got the full acrylic back instead of the translite. I got the blades as well. Can't wait to put them in. Yours looks great! It would be really cool if CPR would make a mirrored backglass using Brian's design!
Thanks as always! Fantastic video editing. This is also the best translite/sideblade install demonstration I've seen - this will be really helpful to my customers. The part at the end about World Cup Soccer was a little far-fetched though ;)
Throw your boy a bone...I think you could make World Cup Soccer '94 really sweet; and who knows, World Cup Soccer 2026 will be here before we know it ;-)
the chick who did the voice overs on Theatre of Magic is a traveling comic who lives in a van, she has a van life website. Anyway she's still around if you wanted to get some new voice overs.
I have this machine with some pretty solid blades one matte one foil, and almost every mod you can add to it, the only thing I didn't add was the shaker because it also needed the upgrade to run it. That backglass is pretty awesome though, does he sell them separately?
Do the back box lights light up the translite properly since the art is different? (ie: the woman is on the left instead of the right) Or do the lights not matter as far as the where the art is located over the bulbs?
I always try to measure where the most prominent lights are first, and then design around it. That's why some of the alternates I've done, I wasn't able to change the layout/composition too much, because the light placement was so specific. I think with ToM there shouldn't be any lights in odd places
Is this yours? Did you have to take pinstadiums off it? Did pinstadiums go back on it? Just curious on how the magnetic strip adheres to art blades if so and uninstalling/reinstalling. Likely not an issue on this game, just curious.
No, this is not my game. No, there were no pinstadiums on it nor will they be installed. If you plan to install pinstadiums on art blades you need to allow more time for the adhesive on the art to stick to the cabinet before applying a heavy mod to them. Pinstadium sells the magnetic strips separately if you need them. I have a couple games with art blades and pinstadiums.
Looks amazing..one question..on the translite, I saw that you removed the plastic protection from the front BEFORE you installed it on the backglass. Is that optional or do you sometimes install it without removing the protective plastic and sit back and admire how great it looks and then take it all apart and then remove the plastic protector? LOL
1000% would be for a World Cup package!!! BUT..................... Would still need to keep Striker on it somehow! He is one of the best parts of the game. Come on Brian 🙂
As much as I love the original artwork, and would have a tough time replacing it, the new translite art is awesome. Would be perfect for a ToM remake! Someone take this on!
The art blades look great, but the face of the girl looks a bit strange in both translite and artblade. :( Still is a very good add on. I would buy it if i had a tom.
First look...... wasn't a fan, but..... every time I look at it, it slowly starts to come around. Theatre is on my wish list for sure, and I would probably buy this kit if I ever got one.
nice, bur the most interesting part was left out :( Brian's first ever decal set for the cabinet is what i was really hoping to see. will that be next?
Yea, I didn't "leave it out". It's just when it comes to redoing the decals on a cabinet that requires much more prep. This cabinet in question needs a good restoration before he puts new decals on it. When he is ready for it - then I'll be sure to get that recorded.
Just when I was not planning on doing anything more to my TOM . You have to go a make this bloody video mate. Why lad why? Just when I thought I was done modding (you) pull me back in...
Love ya Cary as your honesty sets you apart from many of the rest. I am usually psyched at the prospect of another CH video post, but the adrenaline quickly drained when I didn't hear Cary's voice of reason, but some annoying music selection instead of the usual instructions & personal advice. Then I realized the video was not of Cary but others installing new art they created. This was merely a commercial using Cary's good name & channel minus Cary. Take this down to maintain the integrity your videos have become known for in an industry & hobby already plagued by bait & switch practices.
Thanks for the honest feedback, but this isn't my first video showing off Brian Allen's work. I see all the analytics and the majority of the views for these kind of videos are not 'fans' like yourself of my content. They want 'the goods' of what the product LOOKS like and that's it. Not me talking about it. As far as the music. I'm sorry. In the end I provided you a first look at what the art looks like on a game. I also provided many with a quick 'How To' on installing it.
@@CaryHardy Thanks for the reply. I now understand some of your vids may be sponsored & featuring others & their products. While I'd prefer these type of vids be included at the end of one of your longer informative & more personal vids, I can adjust my expectations, notifications & selections easily. Only love 💕 in this great hobby. Looking forward to meeting & speaking to you one day.

Same here!
TOM is a machine that deserves a remake.

@@brianford9522 Only concern is this company is based in Europe. Maybe the prices wont be as good as built in US.

One of my favorite machines. Deserves a remake all day long.
It’s my favorite early 90s machine. I find it to be more favorable than MM, AF, TTZ, etc.

Next World Cup Soccer next please :)

Remake time for sure, beautiful art work, well done
That’s brutal, love it! Definitely gonna upgrade my theatre of magic with these!
Yes Brian we need WCS done. Thanks
This makes me want a Theatre Of Magic even more than I already do now. Great game and awesome art package by Brian Allen.
Beautiful!
Nice Upgrade. Subtle, but better is good.
TOM is one of the few WPC games I would own! So bad ass...
He finally did revenge from mars... After me and others begging... If enough request he'll do it I'm sure...

I will be ordering some of those blades for mine. Thanks Cary
Awesome!
Love it !!
WCS would be good, but updated Getaway art would be even better!
Love it. Looks great
WCS would be a good choice but I would be more interested in what could be done with The Shadow. Great character and game.
What a beautiful game.. looks great!
Nice!

Yes, check the link in the description!
I'm looking for a donation of a Theater of Magic so I can try out these decals 😂

If lighting is 'off' it looks negligible. It's not my personal game otherwise I would have cool white in the backbox to really make the art POP!

How long you gonna throw that in my face?! lol.
@@CaryHardy Hey! I'm no better..I set and watched you do it. Ha!
yes to world cup !!!
Have you tried the Houdini pinball ? What is your opinion compare to the theatre ? And congrats for all your videos ;)
I really like houdini pinball. shots are tough, but I like it.
now do the cabinet and yes world cup soccer would be killer
The owners cabinet wasn't ready for decals. Needs a good restoration first!

Uploaded 23sec ago, let me start giving the video a 👍 right away

That's a pretty stout ipa at %91.
Isopropyl Alcohol.... but yea that would be a very harsh IPA at that level!
ToM is the only machine I'd consider trading my Pinball Magic. Great theme!
Is that Capcom game really that good?! A place in Lville has it but I’ve never tried it

I have Theatre of Magic.. 🤔
Forget the set. Just send me the machine please.
upgrade to titans also. i much prefer mirror blades on this title

Looks great. This video almost made me have a seizure.
I don't like translite it the first one i don't like.
Do you now own a TOM or is this somebody else's machine?
Nope, this is a friends game. Although I wouldn't mind playing it some more...
