Well its nearly 10 years ago now we talk just about every week still discovering new things about each other and have seen each other a few times now over the years
A response to a comment I left a year ago brought me back to this video. Thank you, Dane, for sharing your story. It is still inspiring 12 years later.
@kayjaz I was gonna say the same thing, I watch a lot of reunions all I can find to watch,Dane reaction to finding his sister was my tearjerker whew it touched my heart! Why in the world did the mom not keep in contact with her son! If she knew life was bad for her to stay with the dad, but never checked on her sons life is so wrong to me uugghh 😮😂❤❤
That should have said Long Lost Family in England tells the death of a parent or sibling off camera. The USA and other countries tried have really slaughtered that show.
That's so selfish of the parents. Just because they can't get along, they tear their kid's apart too? That's cruel! WOW! He doesn't ask about his Mother right away?
@LD. Divorce usually has elements of self-preservation and/or selfishness to it. Being a product of divorced parents (5 kids), I can say that getting out of a destructively volatile or unhealthy relationship can be the correct choice. Your point about splitting up the children has merit but I see that, in the end, each child was there to care for their parent in their waning years. If one parent took both children, the kids could have lost complete contact with the other parent. (Not always a bad thing) Financially, would it have been too much for one parent to take both kids? As life played out, Dane and his sister can now fill in missing pieces of life for one another. Although things could have been different, Dane and his sister turned out to be kind and caring people with a great sense of family. Yes, there is emotional baggage to unpack but isn't that now a common part of the human condition (even under "perfect" circumstances)?
@@kennethwoods6525 Divorce is one thing, cutting contact and separating children from each other and one of the parents is another. Children should be the most important for their parents.
@@Martyna456 : You did say "should" and that is correct. I just need you to know that divorce has a significant presence today. And can we talk about the children that find themselves in foster care? Ever seen kids in shelters? They typically arrive with one parent.

Dane’s a pretty forgiving guy
Thank You Sliat
They could hold the camera back...intrusive...in the face...the Story is the Matter! Good Loving Brother and Little Sister!
That what the show is about. They did find them for each other after all. They would have signed a contract and be aware of it
I like how Long Lost Family tells the death of a parent or sibling off camera. It is so much more respectful.

Lost her mother lost her father but worst of all lost her son. At least she has a niece now as well as her brother
ah strewth, I can hardly see the bloody screen by the end of it! lol
I know the feeling WOA
Faye the mother didn't even asked if she was ok or did she have a good life
She could have asked the father she bought with her
Yeah...stop messing with the voices please . It's not helping
I don’t like the breaks you making in this video
That's so selfish of the parents. Just because they can't get along, they tear their kid's apart too? That's cruel! WOW! He doesn't ask about his Mother right away?
I knew she had passed away by the time we Filmed

You clearly saw Lisa mentioning it while Dane watches her. That’s clearly before they met. Try to concentrate before you make such silly comments

Poor Amanda, her mom doesn't look like her either
Yes she does, same teeth!
She also has the same eyes. They do resemble eachother quite a bit.
