whats interesting about poppy is she doesnt really stick to one genre, if you want some of her heavier stuff check out her eat EP, her cover of Spit by Kittie, and Bite Your Teeth

Yeah ,she is allover the place musically. Pop, rock ,industrial, metal. Don't know about the pop stuff, but I really dig her heavier material. She brings something fresh to the scene. Just like the others, I would suggest to start with Spit , Eat ,or say cheese, but there are many more good songs.

great reaction guys!! Check out Poppy's song Spit - it's amazing. She is also a phenomenal singer so really anything you check out will be easy on the ears. She's experimental so keep an open mind, some of it might not be your flavor but to me, she's doing a lot for the ladies in the metal scene

Oh, she does do this kind of music personally 😅 granted, I don't think she ever NOT used distortion on her studio records, but she does her screams live proper.
If you want to start off on the heavier side of Poppy, you should check out either Say Cheese (original song) or Spit (Kittie cover) 👌🏼
For Poppy fans though, guessing what is going to be her next move musically is like playing bingo where the right answer isn't even on the board.

Personally, that's why I dig her vibe. She's pretty unconventional, and just does what ever.

I'd recommended listening to Cue, BLOODMONEY, Concrete, X, Say Cheese and Her for a good mix of her heavier music. Poppy's first couple of projects were very pop, then in the second half of her "Am I A Girl?" album the sound starts to shift towards rock and metal influences. Everything after has been a mix of metal, industrial, rock, grunge, punk, jazz... and now her more recent album "Zig" has shifted towards pop again but still with an alternative/industrial influence (she's a trained dancer and said wanted create some dance videos). It's rumored there will be a second part called "Zag" that will be much heavier.

Of course you picked the most pop style song she's made in about 6 years 😅
Others suggested the ones. I'd add Scary Mask. And her latest single New Way Out!

Should've gone with a metal Poppy song, she has so many metal projects.
she doesn't have a specific sound she kinda does whatever she wants. you should check out SPIT of Say Cheese.
