Custodians of TJ: The Unsung Heroes

According to the Hanover Research Council, which examined school districts and their various district standards of allocating custodians, FCPS was found to have 3.0-9.0 custodians per elementary school, 6.5-13.0 custodians per middle school, and 12.5-26.5 custodians per high school. At TJHSST, there are 15 custodians, including five in the morning shift (7:30 am - 3:30 pm) and ten in the night shift (3:30 pm - 12:00 am). Despite being very prevalent in the hallways, our custodial staff often go unrecognized and unacknowledged. It's time to change that culture.
