      If you look up Value.deck on Moxfield, that is my Marneus list. I am great friends with the Borborygmos & Fblthp player IRL, and one of the reasons he is on Life From the Loam is to get around my Smothering Tithe.

    I'm the Gyruda player who's list was reviewed here. To answer a few questions brought up in this video, we are on LED because it helps turbo out Gyruda, and because we can float mana off tutors (IE D tutor float mana in response) to make our lines easier (also the obvious use with breach). Using meme bet to get breach or praetors grasp to get breach is another win con. Brain freeze also synergizes with Bloodchiefs ascension. For animate dead, it is a strong card, but the main reasoning I am not running the card is because of it being sorcery speed. One of the main goals of the deck is to win at instant speed with Gyruda triggers and the list is pretty tight with needing a mix of fast mana, clones, counterspells and flicker effects, I couldn't find a slot. We are also only on 26 Lands which is a little low to be honest. But if there are any questions about the list, or suggestions I would love to hear it. Thank you for taking a look at the Gyruda and let me know if you want to talk more about the list.

      @samuelsteinbach3628 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ryleyevans393 Yes once you make infinite mana you have a few options.
      first you play Tazri and then you activate him infinitely to find what you need
      This is first stonework Pack beast or Vizier of the menagerie, This is because they either let you add infinite mana of the other colors or Vizier lets you spend it as though it were any color for creatures
      with packbeast you make infinite mana and you can get spell seeker to find consultation or tainted pact and thoracle win
      you can also get Finale of Devastation with spell seeker play all creatures and win that way
      in addition you can get Vizier of the Menagerie which lets you play creatures from the top of your deck and look at the top card, since Tazri randomizes your deck this effectively lets you continue to randomize your deck until you have any card on top of it.
      Doing this you put Emile and Bowmasters on top of your deck in order to ping everyone to death.
      You can also get Emile and Ertai to infinetely counter every card your opponents play and destroy all of there creatures and attack them to death over a few turns if you have time in the rounds
      You can also infinitely blink Ertai countering your own Tazri activations to draw your deck and win with Thoracle
      You can also do the same thing to get eternal witness and return finale or any other card you need if you have had it milled or destroyed
      You can also play deathrite shaman, draw your deck or most of it using ertai, move to end step discarding a lot of instants and sorceries, counter everything your opponents do with ertai, then on your next turn infinitely flicker derevi to untap deathrite and drain everyone out. Also use derevi to tap all of there permanents at there upkeep. I haven't used this one yet since its kind of overkill lol. But it could happen.
      Barrin master wizard plays a similar role as Emile but you can't do it infinitely unless you make infinite treasures with Dockside first and you can only do it with creatures that have flash
      Lastly you could play Niv and use spell seeker to get a tutor for Curiosity and ping the table like that.
      really it is just the first few of these that you wind up using but I have won a game by just countering everything with Ertai because I exiled most of my deck to a consultation. Also before I go for any of these wins I always get Grand abolisher out just in case, since he is a cleric

    Mortuary is an infinite mill loop with Garuda and a clone

    • @SwornBlade
      @SwornBlade 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Gyruda player here, I have tested Mortuary in my list, but the main issue with it is how telegraphed it is. I have found that it is always getting removed or counterspelled before it can be useful whereas instant speed flickers like essence flux and ghostly flicker typically generate much more value while being more inconspicuous. Our clone count is also a bit lower than some of the other more casual Gyruda lists so it makes the chance of having a clone on top lower for us.

    Love the deck and brewing in unique ways. Love this video. Great list. I built the Kels list becUse the 'meta' was starting to seem stale and 'samey' and i wanted to do something a bit new. • @LemorasCards
      @LemorasCards  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Probably not necessary, if you hit everyone's library with Etali you probably have dozens of ways to win the game, one of them being to just pass the turn.

    Does Mikeaus and walking ballista go infinite without the viscera seer? Or does removing the counter have it die to state-based effects and see the counter on it? 34:06

    • @LemorasCards
      @LemorasCards  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He gives it +1/+1 by default, so it won't die unless you have a way to sacrifice it. Each time it comes back it'll be at 1/1 from him and have a +1/+1 counter from the undying ability.

    Whats the logic for running sphinx in calgar? Isnt 6 mana too much?

    • @LemorasCards
      @LemorasCards  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not that uncommon for midrange lists to have something like that that's hard to counter since it's a creature and pretty much wins the game if you untap with it. 6 mana isn't ridiculous at the top end in a deck with that much mana production.

    • @LemorasCards
      @LemorasCards  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't make the lists. I just show them off! I'd definitely slot Smothering Tithe in there, I run it in Tymna/Kraum, where it's not nearly as good as it seems to be in Marneus.

    • @LemorasCards
      @LemorasCards  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly I think the biggest thing holding it back is that there's really strong temur decks like Rog/Thras and Dargo/Thras that might be stronger options. I think it may have a place as a temur Midrange option though, we'll just have to see.

    I wont take any cedh seriously when as old mate said it half the meta is blue farm and the ither half is sisay, rogsi 😅 what a joke.
    Thats to say when theres nothing regulating this format no bans no nothing . This is not a format that anyone could take seriously really. Even modern has a more varied meta

    • @toctheyounger
      @toctheyounger 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Pretty easy to disagree with this take tbh. T and K is pretty dominant, but there's actually a ton of brews doing quite well in the meta rn. Kinnan and blue farm are the decks to beat, sure, but while they often make the top cuts there's plenty of other people that do well with their own brews.

    • @HebrewHercules
      @HebrewHercules 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is an uninformed approach. I wont disagree that there is an over saturation of the top decks but there is enough variance in results to disprove this take
