This is pretty much the design I have with simple electrical, camp stove, bucket toilet and fridge. Glad to see it worked for you. I have more faith that I will be comfortable in a similar setup.
Love to hear this! Honestly simple is the way to go, you won’t regret it! Even after almost a year of having this setup we haven’t changed anything major so far bc it functions so well, just a little esthetic upgrades and we are soon adding solar!
I’m so happy to see you guys back! Hoping for some more shots of Andrew cooking, even if it’s just his hands :-). The van build is really nice and cozy! Can’t wait for you to post the build. Glad to see Grandpa in the vid too!
Thank you so much!! Andrew actually said the other day he wants to be in the videos more so hopefully we can make that happen! Thanks for staying tuned!😁
Enjoyed your simplicity. Life is very sweet when you live simple. I was much happier with little than now that I have all i want.people don’t know that happiness is within themselves not in more fancy things. I have a 175000 new rv setting in my driveway but something inside me it’s missing and i have yet waiting for inner joy to come to me.stay true to yourself because that’s the real joy.god bless you and stay safe.
Andrew is quite the carpenter, He did a great job and the van turned out so nice. Been waiting a long time to see it. We may borrow a few ideas from you for our van. Enjoyed the video and glad you are back!
I love it simple sweet and comfortable easy build and doesn't cost a whole lot of money that's that's using your head and very very efficient you all got it together 😊😊😊😊😊
The van looks awesome. Kudos to both of you. I know it was hard work for both of you in different ways. I’m so happy you get to live out your dream this way and I wish you nothing but more of it. Big hugs to you both. Cheers my friends. ❤
Hey Felicia, came across your channel while searching for stories about the UP to get pumped up for this summers trip. My Wife and I are heading up to Voyageurs NP to do some boating and making a stop to boat on Lake Gogebic. We love that lake. I appreciate how you present in your YT videos. You come across easy in conversation with the camera and not over the top with what you are presenting. I subscribed and will look forward to further content. Take care and enjoy the adventures. It is what we do.
Wow thank you so much for the kind words that really means a ton! I hope you have an absolute blast on your trip! Such a beautiful area. Thanks for watching! 🙏🙏
YIKES! I like this! What you have done gives me hope that I can make our van more "homey" while retaining its work/transport functionality. I/We have an older Ford E350 extended passenger van that is used for transporting me/us, pets, tables, tents and inventory to car shows, while doubling as "home" on site. Thanks for an inspired build tour. I am *definitely* bookmarking this!!
Ah I’m so happy to hear that!! Yes, exactly! I wanted something that can easily be modified / still use the back of we wanted! Was supposed to be temporary but it ended up working so perfect we just stuck with it! Good luck with your build and thanks for watching! :)
@@feliciafullwood well my doesn't look as nice as your's in the inside,,,but I don't really care,,I'm by myself,,I got everything I need in it,,1 kayak, 1 paddleboard, 1 road.bike, 1 mountain bike,,snorkeling equipment,,2 stoves,,no dog,😔
I’m thinking about buying one this week and I’d like to know what if any drawbacks there might be to owning one. I know the one I’m looking at has solar panels a platform for a bed fridge and lots of storage. It’s a 1995
Nice work Felicia! Your build is great. Your vid is great. You tell the story well. And major kudos to Andrew! Hope you post a more detailed vid of the build at some point. But until you do, this one is great!
Thank you! I’m hoping to do some updates here soon and then I’ll probably do another tour that’s more detailed! Stay tuned! And thanks so much for watching :)
Beautiful van build . Andrew did an awesome job . Love your photography skills and drone footage . We missed seeing you all on your adventures. I use to live in Belleville, Michigan. Love Michigan. Nice Van & glad your back.
I have been watching tons of videos as I am currently in the midst of planning a conversion. I was super stoked when I came across your video because this is basically the same basic plan I have for my van, and it was awesome to see it in real time! Thank you for sharing!
My grandfather bought a 96 E150 passenger van and it's freaking nice, he says that he will give to me once he stops driving and I cannot wait to ride in it again soon
Thanks Brian, same here! Wanted to prioritize simplicity so we could spend more time using it vs building it. But SO stoked to finally get this out. 6 months later 😂
Awesome van and build!! My wife and I are in grand rapids Michigan and just started building a chevy express passenger van and are actually testing it out this weekend for a trip to torch lake. Hopefully we'll have something more completed for our trip to the upper peninsula in September 😁
I all the time watch on utube van life and I think this is a superb van made n also spend reasonable money so it encourage who wants to do it godbless ❤❤❤❤😅
That’s awesome, congrats! Your van is the same age as me!😁 my best advice is to get out and use it as soon as possible to know what you’ll want more permanently! I have a video earlier that shows our setup with a plastic fold out table and we traveled like that for almost a year 😂 thanks for watching!
I got a ram cargo ven as my first car that I financed and slowly been building it while doing apartment live hoping we can do van life soon to save money
I have the same type of van but it’s a 1989 a little shorter than yours when I bought it for 3950. But it still needs a lot of work on the inside. The motor and tranny is great no leaks which was the main reason I bought it. But I have no power to the back I use a battery tor my phones and fan. But that’s about it. I’d like to know more about how to rebuild the interior of it. I love the layout of your van and it’s something I really want it the way you made yours. I’m still looking for friends that know more about the electric components. So I can keep my battery charged better. I have to keep going to a charging place to charge it. So that sucks. 😂
What kind of fuel tank do you use for the diesel heater? Im considering one and debating between one with a separately mounted tank or an all in one unit. Thanks. Good videobby the way.
love the van. I was contemplating a seat swival too. Does your change the seat angle or pitch ? also the link is gone so I was unsure of what seat swivel it was ( i too have an E150) .. any help is greatly appreciated !
...what was the brand name of the chinese diesel heater?? ...Im doing a van build ..or a box truck build actually. Floor insulation is not that important ...ceiling is first and walls second.
I'm new to this space and my first question is, when I look at the money, why not get a camper? Then you get the shower and toilet, and no need to build. Just wondering why people lean toward the van builds over a camper? I do like the idea of the van so I can pull a trailer.
Harder to take into cities, less fuel efficient, many campers are poor quality and/or not fully equipped. Trailers do make more sense for some people but not always for everyone
LOL omg you aren’t wrong! I realized that as I was editing idk why I kept saying that but I guess it’s how I felt! But thanks! And thanks for watching!

I can take that RV off your hands if you like my friend :) swap you for a nice tent?
So jealous! In a complimenting, good way haha. Enjoy all the adventures and memories you two make 😊
Aw thank you so much!!! 🙏❤️
So cool that you guys are traveling so much. Props to Andrew for being so handy. One day we will have to meet up and camp it somewhere.
We are so stoked! He’s been killing it!! And he had no prior building experience either. And thanks for watching!! Would love to camp one day!

🧠Thanks for this comprehensive explanation of Your van setup!

Thinking about getting a new van and this video has been super helpful! Also, we spotted Andrew rocking a Skroove shirt 😎🤙
I got the same kind of van thanks for giving me ideas of what to do with my van
You are so welcome! Glad it gave you some ideas! Good luck with your build! :)

This how I want mine, good job
I have the same exact blue 7gl water tanks in my van, I have two of them and have more than enough water for almost two weeks for road tripping
Nice! So many times we just forget about it and run out bc we so rarely need to fill up it up! Works great for us tho! 👍
awesome well done, cost effective anyone can do, thank you
Looks great!! Not bad budget as well 🙏🏻
My bf & i got a '92 Chevy Van we're trying to build out to get in the road in a few months.

I love the build!! How do you handle the heat with no AC? Or do you just idle the van with the AC on?
Too funny. I take take a dump outside to help fertilize the fauna. Nice build
Nice!! That is definitely a great option too! 🤣
This is super helpful! Is your van the extended version? Wanting to build out a lengthwise bed like that

love the van. I was contemplating a seat swival too. Does your change the seat angle or pitch ? also the link is gone so I was unsure of what seat swivel it was ( i too have an E150) .. any help is greatly appreciated !
If you don’t mind me asking, is the 150 enough? Would you get a 250 if you were to do it again? Are you feeling you have enough room?
If you were to turn the bed across instead of lengthwise how long of a bed could be put in there
