You could use the clips Roush provides to reinstall the stock grill if you ever chose to do so. You would have to trim the ends but it could be done. The Roush lower looks so good I couldn't ever imagine wanting to remove it
The exhaust clip used is from our Gotta Have It Race car which is the sister car to the one in the video. It uses American Racing 1 7/8 headers, Off road 3 in pipe, and Ford Racing GT500 mufflers.
I thought the same thing Lemon and even tried it off camera before installing the grill but thee way shown is how Roush wants them installed. If you install them first the grill will not fit
I contacted Roush and specifically asked them why their website says no cutting required while the instructions clearly say cutting is required. I got no response. The instructions included with the lower grill install just as we showed and their tool list says airsaw required so they know it requires cutting, they just haven't updated their website to show it. I wish it installed with factory style clips as well but this is how it is made to be installed.
just got my lower grille. Wish it didnt require cutting of the factory bumper because once its cut thats it, you wont be able to reinstall the stock grille. I assumed it was like the upper grille which requires no cutting. Why couldnt roush make the grille tabs like the factory grille tabs so it would just pop in with no cutting? And whats up with the tape? I'm concerned with long term durability of the tape. You know tape doesnt stay "sticky" forever..
pretty sure I screwed myself, i bought the roush upper when it came out but also cut all of the tabs out of the lower grille area. so now if i bought the roush lower grille, the tabs will have nothing to grab onto.
Different kind of clip then you are thinking.. it locks it in from teh back side.. you cut that area so the plastic parts of the grill can slide through.
Just received my lower grille today and this will defiantly help me with my install, thanks.

here is my question... why is "cutting required" when right on the roush site it clearing states "No cutting or drilling required"?
Mike as far as I know the eliminator isn't being offered for retail sale, just for production cars.

Does the upper one have a glossy finish and the bottom one matte? Or is it camera just messing with me?
You guys need to get ahold of the Roush RS3 lower grille eliminator kit and do a video on that... Cause I am lost lol.

I just went out and confirmed--I think it's just the camera messing with you.
awesome work , thank you.
hey bill you should do more videos on 2010 mustang!!
umm shouldnt the clips go on BEFORE and not after?
Why would you need to cut the bumper if you put on the clips after?

Dont really get the point of the provided clips or the tape... why isnt it just kept the same as the factory assembly?
I installed the roush lower open grille, and it looks a whole lot better than this one.
those clips look like they should have went on before popping the lower grill in...hmmm
Strange.. it looks more dull compared to the upper grille.. like the texture is different..
FYI.. the lower is a more dull finish.. I ended up putting Cquartz Dlux on my lower grille to get more of a matching dark black color.
I laugh every time I see that push button start.. LOL.
What a stupid idea..
The original (honeycomb) that comes on the cars from the factory look way better than this one.
