liked the bit where devdutt talks about evil and good and how its not as simple as putting things into strict confined boxes. i think the idea is to be good once again after having known the evil fully ... its an ongoing proces

What I found of abrahamic and overall afroasiatc mythology or stories is that it is a mystical . For example the story of forbidden fruit is actually an allegory. It means God has created a beautiful earth filled with everything. But we human just to showoff overself as superior has created a chaotic world. Like pollution, poverty, overpopulation, industrialization which leads to countless monsters in our society...what we have done ultimately with all those so called knowledge of science technology gurus religions etc etc....as jiddu Krishnamurthy rightly said only hell...that's what the whole abrahamic story is about...that God created a beautiful paradise called earth but human with Thier michiveous thinking (here forbidden fruit) made this beautiful earth into hell.........such a beautiful insight which is a fact....I'll say it's a first book on human mind and thought....

U r wrong even the very old western philosophical books by European and Russian authors said all this religion as the abrahamic religion.... remember Arabs Jews Egyptian etc they belong to the same race known as afrasiatic race and also they had many religion of polytheism as well besides abrahamic monotheism.....
whereas European, like Vedic Aryans, Persians wusun, yezhi, Huns, Scythians, goths, etc etc etc belongs to Indo-European race and languages.....u r complicating the matter drvdutt with incomplete knowledge...
Remember European people like the aryan people of Asia very recently begin to follow abrahamic religion......as I've said Indo-European ( European/Aryan) race and people originated in eastern European Steppes and migrated and conquered the whole world a nice prehistory and thus changed the whole cultures of the world ..

The main difference between the Hindu religion and the Abrahamic religions is that the Abrahamic religions don't consider Time eternal. It can be cut as well as made eternal. For example the heaven and hell have the etenity but not for earth. But in Hinduism both the earth and heavens are eternal.

@@edwardzionsaji3445 yes, but it ends with the new Jerusalem. There was period of paradise lost, then Paradise regained by Lucifer in the Himalayas through yoga, kundalini etc, But the Abrahamic God destroying this paradise of the Yogis and establishing the New Jerusalem for ever. I will not use the word Hindu mythology or Zoroastrian mythology....that's a foolish incomplete view. ..I'll say Indo-European (European/ Aryan) mythology. And Eden is afroasiatc mythology.....very simple clear cut.

Dear devdutt patnaik sir i really respect you for your unending search for truth. You have read the Bible and 'known' the characters of the Bible and the overall story of the Bible. I can say with some certainty that you may be knowing the characters and events in the Bible better than many Christians even. But how i wish you could know Jesus and by knowing, I mean, to know Him personally and intimately. That you cannot know if you are reading with mere human intellect. You can know Christ only through the Holy Spirit. I humbly request you sir, try to seek for Jesus under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. For that, all that you have to do is, ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to Christ. If my these words seem mumbo jumbo to you, you may feel free to connect to any Christian person in your vicinity. God bless you.

@@zahidroowala8719 I know him well brother and I ain't trying to proselytise him. I just wish him to know the deeper truths and the hidden secrets that God wishes to reveal to all those who seek Him earnestly. If devdutt ji, as i understand, is a seeker of truth, then he won't stop at reading the Bible with mere human intellect, rather he would try to go deeper under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The choice is his.

Apostle Peter gave the Jerusalem declaration where animals cannot be choked to death. So in fact even fish cannot be caught from the pond or sea. However the holy spirit given by Jesus gives the redemption of sins even if a fish is killed. Thus Jesus saves from the sin of choking the fish to death

The ability to Interpret is important, which clowns like Rajiv Malhotra lacks. What have all the Muslims achieved by focusing on building individuals with the sole intent to interpret the Islamic messages? Either you provide us better interpretations or refrain from concocting rubbish. His fans do not go around denying others and their interpretations of Faith. This alone is sufficient for us to patiently perceive his perspective which in turn will define our own. When you speak of Sanskrit, how does it makes you different from a Salafi Islamist who believe that only those with command on Arabic has the authority to interpret their holy texts?

@@rupam1842 you lack basic understanding go and first build up that or you are one who is ignorant about all facts and knowledge why I said he doesn't know sanskrit because in most of his interpretation he has explained wrong meaning of words given in original text and these wrong interpretation of those word changes the meaning of those original text thats why baby i said this he doesn't know sanskrit and he give wrong interpretation of words and meaning changes as such how can we trust his interpretation
