Too true! Music now is crap, very 2018ish. I was a youngster of the 1990s and don’t listen to the crap music of today. Any thing 2017, 2018 and 19 no thanks.
Totally underrated band. Loads of uk bands from this time have been forgotten due to teeny bopper music and the likes. Shed se7en, the bluetones, supergrass and dodgy to mention a few and I mean few because there is loads more. American aswell tho. This genre only lives on due to the people watching these vids etc.
Britpop made me love music again after the turgidity of the bland SAW pop of the late 80s and the utter shite that was almost everything from 90-94. And She'd Seven are one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Brilliant group.
Awesome! Kick ass song all round. Saw these guys play live many moons ago (back in the late 1990's) at Portsmouth guildhall and they rocked!! Tin planet album sounds god damn pukka still today, its' truly timeless......
At less than 3 minutes long it has the short snappy feel of songs from the 60's. I imagine it being the theme to a Captain Scarlett spin off that centres on the Angels that flew Cloudbase 9's interceptors.
@@groovytrev Space fall under the broad spectrum of 'indietronica' which, on the UK side was pretty heavily influenced by things like the composers involved in the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.
I remember the first time I heard this song, we were driving down to London from Liverpool just before New Year's Eve with my then-girlfriend and her sister and this was on the radio about four times. Great song.
Popped into my mind 7am Sydney time today. Thank God for TH-cam so I can hear it again - I lost the cassette tape and walkman I used to listen to it on a long time ago!
I loved this song when it came out a bought the single. I don’t know where is is though. They very rarely play this on the radio. It’s a really catchy tune so not sure why. They seem to play the same tripe instead.
Space were superb. And an anomaly, too. Their songs were mini-film soundtracks, they were advanced Pop geniuses and the singer looked great - handsome and rogue-ish. How'd they just disappear from the mainstream? Was it the Blur/Oasis nonsense? Talent shows on TV?? Pop music in general being subsumed by American R&B and Rap???
Loved this when it dropped, for me it has that Austin powers vibe, i feel like the 90s were also a renaissance of classic 60s Shagadelic music lol. Like a revival of the 60s, hence it was a lot better than many of its contemporaries ❤
I believe they are doing a short tour in October 2013, Birmingham (Digbeth), London and of course Liverpool. Tickets around the £15.00 mark (a bargain if you ask me) I hoping to go myself.
sothere67 They are still touring. I saw them last year and will see them again this year. I keep in touch with them on facebook, instagram and twitter too.
I had seen the last 40 seconds of this song in 1997 or 98....I did not remember the name of the song or band name....I could not search it as well...as I had misheard the rendition of "avenging angels" as "education" ! The mid to late 90s were a fantastic time for British music. Best period since the 60s.
Here here!
Except for the early 80s of course.
And what about the 70s. The best decade musically speaking without doubt
You are so right man 🇬🇧 proper music for proper people 😉

Defined such a great time in my life. Was sharing a house with two good mates, we started every weekend playing the 'spiders' album.
Tommy and Space on a bad day Is way better than any modern Shoyt.
Go Space!!!
Truly inspired.

Heard this on absolute radio the other day, what a seriously underrated band.
Same here, Absolute Radio throws out some good tunes. I completely forgot this song. Still sounds great 👍
Angels, angels, KICK ASS angels 😇
What a song. Brilliant group X
This is the very first song I ever fell in love with.
Space was part of the bizarre melange that made up my formative years, and I love them for it.
This has a 60s feel to it. I never heard this song or band before! Always good to hear a decent song, since music is now dead.
Officially lol

Amazing song and vocals. Still love this song, in my all time top 5. 🎶
Top tunes these guys 🎉🎉❤
Early 90's remember being little and listening to the whole Space CD outside while in the backyard, I loved them.
Their first album Spiders was released in 1997
I remember the first time I heard this song, we were driving down to London from Liverpool just before New Year's Eve with my then-girlfriend and her sister and this was on the radio about four times. Great song.
Haha, yeah I remember that, great times!
This song will always remind me of December 1998 drinking in a bar in Aberdeen called long island tea company
Vengance is mine Says The Lord
Love space.did some great songs
20 years since this came out... I still hum along to this song, when it pops into mind every once in a while.
It just pooped in my head 5am in Melbourne, I haven't heard this since I was 18 in 98. So weird how that happens
It poped at 9pm in Slovenia :)

This lot and Rialto made the 90's bearable.
True Brit.
easily one of the best tunes of the 90's.
20 years searching for this song... Finally I've found it!

this was a good song, remember it well.
heard this on the radio yesterday...took me right back to 1998 at college :)
I didn't understand why this song has resorgnated with me all my life until now
What a treat discovering this video was.
"So when I'm lying in my bed
Thoughts running through my head
And I feel the love is dead
I'm avenging angels instead"
Wow a forgotten song by me great to find them again you just forget how good sime bands were

Very surprised I went 24 years, not hearing this song... Quite ashamed of myself.

The big feature of this song for me is by far the drumming. It is very cool. Well worth listening to again and again.
I really like the drums at 0:32 to 0:33 and again 1:06 to 1:07 - the drum pattern I associate most with the 90s
