Here is why it's a big deal. The 128 GB costs $300 and Lenovo includes a cover and keyboard in the box. You also get stylus support. They are showing us that we can get a good deal on convertibles without paying so much for the likes of iPad pro and surface devices. They are amazing devices but to use all what they have to offer you have to pay close to the price tag of a premium PC or Mac

Yeah, but the market for Chrome OS tablets isn't really proven. Would've been more of a risk. This should sell like hot cakes, and then maybe Lenovo or another manufacturer will feel like releasing one at a higher price point.
I see myself having a lot of minor issues with this - would prefer an SSD, more RAM, maybe a built in kickstand, and the keyboard to attach more securely. But it's not like there are many alternatives, and certainly not at this price. Being cheap earns you a lot of good will.

I have had this about a month. An android tablet is better. This just combined the worst of both worlds. Lose all the customization and widgets of android, It has two separate gesture schemes that work only in their respective modes. Does not have a good multi tasking mode, have to manage background apps idividually, no close all button, close button for each app is too small etc. Very frustrating mess. Chromeos with Android support is not as good as android. Bizarre that the have decided to go this route.

@@Cheetorblz strongly disagree, android tablets suck in general because of play store, very little real apps and games. ChromeOS brings you a full chrome browser which is really important for anyone who’s doing more than playing games on their tablet (which is literally everybody). Linux is also a huge addition the biggest example for this is microsoft visual studio. Also while android tablets struggle get two major android updates these things get updated much much longer than your average android tablet and more frequently as well.

Samsung, Asus, Acer, Lenovo, etc. all make high end Chromebooks ($600+) that are ultra portable with very high screen resolution and higher ram and storage specs. Having a full HD touchscreen, 2-in-1, that can run Android apps (plus Chrome OS and Linux) to for under $700 can be found, which to me very much keeps up with the "big boys" and then some.

I bought this because of good reviews. The truth from a real user is that the battery doesn't last 4 hours. It constantly loses it's wifi connection. The case /keyboard interferes with the wifi strength, so I have to take it off so it can connect. This makes it a real pain to use.

How is it on Zoom? Last night my A9x iPad Pro 9.7 was intermittently stuttering video and distortingband cutting out audio. Imhad to switch to my go which worked fine, which mystified me because the chips are comparable. The Duet will be useless to me if it can't keep up with Zoom.

"So you can answer your emails, surf the web, or play games” Wait, isn’t that what almost all full-fledge laptops and desktops are used for anyway? OK, AAA games cannot be downloaded and played in the traditional way, but Stadia (which I wouldn’t exactly recommend) is an option. And all this at $300? Come on...

I’ve wanted a Chromebook for a while, but at the end of the day, whether your a student, professional, or even just a gamer, all roads lead to Windows(or Linux).
The platforms too limited, especially for what the complete software-hardware platforms going to cost you. It competes with the PC, but can’t do a whole lot of things a PC can do.

I love the Lenovo Chromebook Duet. It's nice and fast, I have had zero frustration getting things open. The keyboard has a nice snug feeling. The ChromeOS linux extension you get on the duet is ok. I couldn't get a lot of my favorite linux apps on this because they are not available for ARM, which is the architecture the duet's prossor uses.

You won't get an answer for it.... you have to enquire only the manufacturer but their customer care would not be sure..... that's how eventually either you drop the idea of buying it or end up with a compromised product....

The kickstand as well as the detachable keyboard are the MSP's of the Lenovo Duet Chromebook. With the price being so decent, there is no doubt, it is one of the best products in the markets at present. MediaTek chipset works pretty well for a budget Chromebook

I bought this mostly to replace my old Samsung tablet and I have to admit I'm having a love/hate with it. It's fast, my games and websites load fast, the larger screen is great, but Zoom isn't compatible with it and there's no dedicated back button. Also, I'm not fond of having to swipe to see which apps are open or to go back to a page.

I would use this Duet for typing at bed, so with the tablet on my belly and my legs a bit up, or just laying flat with the tablet on my legs. The best part of the Lenovo Chromebook Duet is the fact that it is extremely easy on the pocket since we don't have to pay anything extra for the detachable keyboard which turns good value into a great one. For a gadget in the $300 sub range, along with a detachable keyboard, it delivers a great laptop experience. With the MediaTek processor, the device delivers fantastic speed for multitasking.
