I'm young, but I get expensive parts, but unfortunately I get new parts very rarely due to that reason 😂 but do they feel good when done with proper stuff.

I had a Micra at 20 and sold it when I was 28/28. I didn't drive much but the Micra done the job and got me around the UK to far destinations. My one wasn't really good on fuel I got like 37 average. Very fun though used to fly around corners and roundabouts. Never felt embarrassed but I realised people would laugh especially girls. You need to have confidence to drive this haha.

This ain't a kei car, kei cars must have 660cc engine and smaller than certain dimensions.

Nissan March super turbo is just a micro with a different engine and that is a kei car,
many kei cars were sold in europe with 1 litre engines in place of the kei regulation 660cc used on the JDM... dont remember all of them but the subaru sambar was sold in europe with a 1 litre under the Libero name instead of Sambar. other thaan the engine, same car.

Good times. I was tearing up uni with my dark grey 1993 L reg 1litre Micra. The cv joints went so i would get constant knocking when performing any full turns... the attention I got was unreal lol

Micra's class old retro had a 1.3si (1999) with 4 branch manifold and cherrybomb exhaust -sounded like an impreza. Ultra reliable cheap motors.
I'm pretty much sold on getting one of these as my next little project! Super cheap to pick up with low miles here in the UK and they look great with a few tasteful mods. This one looks class!

But its not a kei car? Kei cars have engines of 600cc or less,.smallest engine is tge CG10 (1.0LTR, commonly 16valve too)

my first car was a micra on a L reg.. i kept it for five years with no problems.. i eventually moved on to a renault 5 gt turbo
weirdly, my first car was convertible mini one, then I had a 7th gen Celica, then a 2.2d x type and now I'm looking for a micra for the funny side of modding it, they honestly look really nice when lowered and on nice rims and a few body mods.
Wish when I had my K11 way back in 2001 you could do things to do to it. Still would have one in a heartbeat again through.
You could always do this to them.. think I remember seeing a pimped out k11 in a magazine from 2000
Had a lovely 98 k11 micra vibe which was a lovely burnt bronze/orange colour and had orange seats. Cost me £500

Great Micra! Anyone a tipp to get the k11 deeper without adjustable dampers? Got a fully sportsuspension (- 1,5 inch), but it didn´t get much lower, probably because of the minimum-wheight (no extras). Thanks!
I had a Nissan march, a Micra import from Japan, 1.3 and it felt rapid!
Cracking mackem'nese car that... have a spare ignition switch and make sure the frame isn't rotten behind the engine and you'll be all good.

I had a Micra facelift... I slammed that on 8j minilites 😎 chasis rails use to scrape absolutely everywhere and cost £250 all in, but for a ridiculously cheap daily they can be fun... only blew a ht lead the entire year of abuse was pennies. 😅😅

Love a good micra had a few in my time my 1.3 super s was insanely great fun 🙂 I’m ‘old’ now and still have a micra as a spare car just the newer bubble ugly shape and it’s still as good as the old ones love them!!

Got the k12 version, year 2004 1.2 liter 80hp...not fast at all, but it's so much fun to use on twisty roads. Btw I always wanted to put wheels like yours and slam it all the way down, and also wanted to remove the back seat.
Unfortunately the K12 is ugly as fuck

I do like the mod scene of these cars. Cheap to fix too. Needs some sort of turbo or engine transplant to get decent power from these. Also love the paintwork by the way

They were not cheap on insurance when I paid for my first year. £4000 my insurance cost me as I was a young male driver on my own policy. Brilliant little car though, I loved my little micra.

This is the advice I give. I was offered one and flat out rejected it. Ended up getting a Zetec S I couldnt afford to run
Did you get a fiesta zetec s? To be honest best to get the mk6 or mk7 fiesta zetec s with the 1.6 diesel engine. Have a 1.6 diesel mk6 zetec s and it's cheap to run. I don't really work so need a cheap runabout with the sporty exterior which this car works for me 👍

That 2 spoke steering wheel is probably the worst looking part on this car. The 3 spoke steering wheel that came a few years later is way much better looking

If the young driver declares to the insurance company the modifications they either won’t get insurance or it will be very expensive. If they don’t declare it their insurance will not be valid.
Martyn Lewis depends who you're insured with mate, I'm 19 and always modified my cars since passing when I was 17. Declared everything never had any issues, wasn't even that expensive either. All depends on who you're insured with.
