I couldn't agree more about Chris Buck. Love his playing.

slash is also known to do unplugged guitar solos 😂🎸..there are some funny videos on YT..but the quality of his solos has always been dependent on his BAC 😁

I hear Pete, but I heard Mayer too on what was in the hands v. gear. I'd lean towards 66% to 75% gear if we're talking about the sound that comes out, not the skill level.

I've literally become a better player with all the pro advice I've been given from TH-cam. I absolutely treasure my favorite guitarists here!

Pete. Tell me the best stuff to listen to of Michael Landau. Thanks.

Hopefully Pete will respond but in the meantime check out The Raging Honkies. Abe Laboriel Jr on drums. Sounds like if Hendrix and Nirvana had a love child. Some of the best strat tones around. His solo albums are fantastic.
If you’re more into jazz then check out his work with Steve Gadd’s jazz band.

I love "The Star Spangled Banner" album but there's so many good ones, try and see him live though, at some point. It's magic

I always play electric guitars unplugged before I plug in before buying them.

Funny...my 1st electric was a Hondo II Les Paul copy...I knew at that price point I couldn't expect a set neck, but the big diappointment came when I opened up the control cavity: plywood!

R.E notes you don't play. Being part of the worship team at my church has definitely taught me restraint and in turn what is played is more impactful

Damn, my first guitar was also a Hondo Strat! It was really awful.
