- IN PART 2 ME AND AL MAKE ANOTHER TRIP TO EVERYONES FAVOURITE BUILDERS MERCHANTS , BERRYS WHERE WE PICK UP OUT SMOOTH RED 65MM DOUBLE BULLNOSE COPING BRICKS. WE THEN MAKE A START ON THE WALL WHICH IS BUILT WITH ST ANNES 75MM SMOOTH REDS WITH THIN BEDS AND PERPS TO MATCH THE HOUSE.
WE HAD THE BRICKS DELIVERED BY THE BRICK STORE WHO ALSO SUPPLIED THE VERY RARE SOILID BULLNOSES FOR THE ENDS OF THE PILLARS......ENJOY

I go 14 sand or shovels one bag of S cement and two caps full of dish washing soap to a mix makes it a strong mix the soap takes the air out of the mix makes it easier to work and stick better great job guys 👍👍💯💯😎⚒🇺🇸

Henry R Bowers Ltd. The "Tatham Brick & Tile Works" or "Afongoch & Tatham Tileries" - at Afongoch, on the west side of the Ruabon-Wrexham road, off Tatham Road. Henry Bowers from 1854 producing glazed stoneware pipes, firebricks and bricks. The business flourished until his death in 1902 but then declined and was liquidated in 1912. The brickworks site was quarried away by Rhos Fireclays Ltd in the 1970s. The Bricks you skipped were probably worth a small fortune...😱

There is lots of work in a garden wall when you build it as well as this, double thickness in engineering.
Lots of the houses in the Liverpool area are built with solids. The houses i grew up in were good ole fancy shaped solids ☺

Top job. Was wondering why you were building a pillar with Queen closers, then LOL I remembered the original wall design. Will look good when you are done and prob last as long as the original. Look forward to next part.

It’s a shame Barry’s can’t match B&Q prices on sand and cement ? but are you really saving that much having to drive ,queue,load ect? Isn’t there something nice and old fashioned with special bricks ? It really sets the wall off nicely 👍looking forward to the next ration stay safe 👍🧱🎥✅

Ok can see on the pillars where the old wall was, although its quite low on the main wall I would put some long ties in each coarse .The other 2 brick pier between the 2 freestanding pillars definitely needs ties its about 3ft high and would steady it up considerably. Just don't slam the gate.😬

Scrape the big snots off them it’s diluted brick acid after the wall has been wet with a hose . A good scub with a stiff brush and the acid then a good rinse 🚿 🧱👍🏽

Very confusing them mixers we call them half bag mixers and then throw a full one in . youngsters have never had the pleasure of a real bag 100 weight bag 8 stone in old money one on each shoulder and one on your head .I don't live far from abethawe cement works sometimes they arrived warm ah that was the days of donkey jackets and awful boots . lovely job lads as usual

Definitely not , those stone pillars are very heavy and the wall is in,y small so if it’s tied in it will take the wall with it 👍🏼🧱
A question to ask the client which they prefer. That way if it fucks up its not your fault
