What’s up man! I’m learning a lot from your videos. I’m never laid brick or pavers of any kind and within the last 4 days I’ve learned so much from you!!! Thanks!!!
Dear Ryan, thanks from Germany for your very interesting input on bricklaying! Could you tell a little bit more on brick gages, mortar grades etc.? BR Wolfram
I just started my 2nd week of trade school, currently learning bricklaying/masonry All I’ma say brotha, is it’s WILD how fast you knocked that row out- and it came out PERFECTLY lol…I take forever to get a full row done cause I be having to deeply inspect each and every brick I lay and see that they’re all level before I even go to the next. Truly hope to become as efficient at it as you are with enough practice
@@1kbconstruction824 Thank you brotha 💪🏽💪🏽 I’m gettin better and better every day building walls, just need the speed to start kickin in lol but I know that will come with time and practice!
0:06 Morning love your videos. I’m second year bricklayer apprentice in Montreal. I would like to see gauging videos on openings (windows/doors) and videos on jack lines how to use levels etc .. If you made some videos all ready let me know. I give the thumbs up as often as I remember to do it. Thanks Emmanuel
Checking in from Detroit, I’m a forty year old male Istart my apprenticeship training on 22nd of April and my question is, who taught you to lay bricks and what maid you get into the trade?
Wow! Ryan you make bricklaying seems so easy. Thanks for sharing your experiences and expertise. I am 67 (female) and am planning to tackle columns/piers for an entry gate. Do you have any DVD's for sale? Thanks so much!!!
Nice work! How do you correct for any pitch of the brick? There is the string for the front of the brick but what if the interior side of the brick is pitched up or down?
Awesome tutorial! one question, you use the line to level your bricks horizontally, how do you level each brick in vertical direction? thanks in advance
I really need to put pavers down in my back yard , I’m nervous and don’t want to make a mistake. My yard is covered in gravel , should I remove all gravel first or can I lay pavers on top??
I'm a Mason I've done pavers many times I've always laid them in sand there can be gravel under the sand watch some TH-cam videos on how to lay pavers you need to screed over the sand to make it flat there are videos that show how to do it

Very enjoyable to watch. My dad was a brick mason for 50+ years. I love the sound of the trowel scraping the brick.
Glad you enjoyed it
What type of cement do you use? Mortar looks great to work. Make a video how you prepare your mortar.
