What matters is the approval of the underlying petition. For me personally , I think they will still give approvals but with stricter guidelines. Isn’t that what you also said in your previous video ? I think visa bulletin might move faster with Trump just because denials will be higher against the demands.
Good optimism but reality is Trump will have little impact in all these details and policies dont really change all that much despite what it may seem from their election campaigns
Thanks, Oscar~ I'm Chinese, my PD is 2023.04.05. Been waiting for Chart B to move from 2023.01.01 to be current for a long time, it hasn't moved for 12 months, how ridiculous? Don't the US want talents with extraordinary ability or what? Why illegal immigration was always easier than hardworking legal immigration... Anyway, do you think I have a chance that my PD can become current next month? Thanks!!!
Hi Oscar, thank you for the update. There is nothing unusual for this month of December 2024. As you have previously mentioned USCIS new policy is to have major forward movement in four quarters, namely: October, January, April, July and September of every year. For 2024 Fiscal Year, the Final Action (FA) for the Rest of the World (ROW) were as follows: (i) Dec 2023/Jan 2024, there was a forward movement from 15 July 2022 to 01 Nov 2022(almost 4 months forward movement); (ii) March/April 2024, there was another forward movement from 22 Nov 2022 to 15 Jan 2023 (almost 2 months forward movement); (iii) June/July 2024, there was a further forward movement from 15 Jan 2023 to 15 March 2023 ( 2 months forward movement); (iv) Sept/Oct 2023, there was no movement as the Final Action remained at 15 March 2023. We can only be hopeful that come January 2025 there is a forward movement.
@ yes. So dof went from April to august. My attorney has a close contact in uscis and told her that. They are now with most of the 2023 2022 People. So perhaps February 2025 will see major changes

Thank you Oscar, is any of your courses useful for 0-1 non-immigrant category filing too? And is your Course comprehensive enough for a Tech entrepreneur whose purpose in the US is to Expand his venture ? Thanks

What to do if your PD is May 2024 for EB2, and your visa is expiring Aug 2026? I’ll run out of visa status if my priority date doesn’t become current by then. Are there any options ?
Either exit the country and complete the process through consular processing or find another visa to change status to. You probably need a consultation with an attorney

thanks for the comment. We will have to wait a couple of months to see the new USCIS operates in what the visa bulletin is concerned. The March visa bulletin will be their first announcement and that will be just days after they start in the White House
Hi Oscar, after getting your immigrant visa, do you think any law from Trump's administration can prevent you from entering the US? Please I'll appreciate your opinion. Thanks.
Technically, everything is possible. I don't think it is likely for most countries but a new version of the 2017 Muslim ban is certainly a possibility for some countries. It would only affect to people without the green card; but it would affect those with approved visa including immigrant visas (first entry to US).
@@OscarsGreenCard Thank you very much for your response Oscar. Visa has been approved, I've even paid for the green card processing but the panic around me is people advising me to enter US before Trump's inauguration, which is quite not convenient for me. My country was part of the visa ban (the second ban) in his last administration, hence the reason for the panic.
@@OscarsGreenCard In your reply, you mentioned that it would affect those with approved visa including immigrant visas. Has this happened this? preventing people with legal visa from entering.
@@Diwu421 yes, it has happened, as I mentioned, in 2017. You can easily google it. It affected people that were literally flying into the US while the order was signed, but it was challenged in court and suspended in a matter of days. Later, Trump's administration issued a second version of the ban that excluded people with approved visas at that time. I think he even issued a third version of the order due to the legal challenges. Keep in mind that since then, Trump has appointed many judges in different levels of the court system. I would not be surprised if some version of this ban is implemented again in January. Hopefully, this time they will at least exclude those with approved visas in their order.
