Love these glasses they came out so well everyone loved them on Christmas Day. Thanks. However I had a few problems cutting words in vinyl. How small can you cut text? The letters came off when cutting. I change pressure but that didn’t help. I was using permanent vinyl. Is there a way of reducing the pressure more than the standard less ( maker 3)
Oh no! Vinyl, like any material, can only perform up to a certain point before it starts to fail. It might not have been any setting you were trying but rather it might have been too small and intricate of a font for what you were trying to do.

I have the explorer 2 and it doesn't have a pop up for typing your text - at least I don't think so. Is the only way to do this by adding as a separate text and uniting?

THANK YOU for the fantastic tutorial (as always)! I struggled, though, figuring out how to use the glyphs--I was following your instructions but it wasn't working the same way for me as for you. I finally figured out I'm working in a newer version of Cricut Design Space, which is why I didn't have the text box in which to paste the glyph. After some Googling, I was able to find a different method for making it work. The final result, though, is the same and it looks GREAT. Thanks again for your wonderful videos!!!

Do we need to wait a certain amount of time before we hand wash the glasses? I did one before watching this, waited 2 days and soon as the water touched the vinyl it came off. Any tips would be wonderful.

What if you have very thin lines and they dont adhere real well to the glass what can you do?
Avoid very thin lines, unless you're going to coat it with resin.

Design Space will direct you which mat to put your vinyl on. 😊🌻

Yes, so long as you hand wash them, the vinyl will stay on permanently or at least for a very long time.

Sure you can use the Joy as long as your image isn't wider than 4.5". I used Permanent Vinyl in this project. 💕

The text tool isn't different on each machine, it's the Design Space so depending on which update you have should all be the same.
I can not get all the glyphs to show up in my character map! I downloaded Amastery Script
Try restarting your machine to see if that helps!

I do that with my old mats. I use dish soap and water and let them air dry and also no alcohol baby wipes to clean.

So, do you need to put anything over the vinyl once it is laid so it doesn't peel off? Or does it work fine without a protective coat over it
If you securely attach your vinyl, and hand wash and dry, this could last a long time.
Is there a reason you dont use the backing from the transfer tape when assembling the image rather than parchement paper
It's easier to see through this, though you could use the backing as well. 🌻😊

There are a lot in Design Space. When you type something in text you can scroll through all of the fonts.

It can last a very long time, just don't allow the glasses to soak and don't scrub them.

You can use any permanent vinyl. You will treat it as hand wash only and be gentle on it when washing.

I would not apply iron-on to glass. In this tutorial I use adhesive vinyl so there is no heat involved.

Great Video. Of all the fonts that we download how do we know which of our fonts have the glyphs? There are so many.
You will usually see this in the download. You could also look them up in your character map program.
