4 inch Gold Dredge nozzle footage. Shallow decomposing bedrock on the south Umpqua

  • 4 inch dredge nozzle footage only. Looking for signs of gold on bedrock. I didn't see much gold in this video but this type of bedrock (decomposing schist I think) can hold good fine gold.

      It's a Keene P180 pump powered by 6.5hp Honda.

    Did you get any gold ?I just bought a 4” Keene and I’m just waiting for summer here in Indiana

      I did get some gold. Mostly fines and 1 nice picker. This was my first time dredging that spot so I spent a lot of time sampling. The picker was found a couple days later in another location while assembling the dredge. It was caught in the dredge hose ribs at the oversize coupler connection. Never made it to the sluice..

      Dredging is the easy part. Transport, setup and teardown are more work.
