Cannot understand the reasons as to this blind guitarist being thumbed down. He is blind and God has bestowed him with his musical talent for us not to be jealous of his talent but to appreciate his talents. We infact have to congratulate this blind guitarist instead. The reason is that there are mean spirited people in the world who have no soul or love for anyone or anything. They enjoy trying to bring others down by being negative and hateful.

Or anything other then the sounds that he makes with his instrument. I have been loosing my eyesight since 2008 when I was diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease, so it's not that I don't have empathy for the blind, I think maybe I do more then most people. It's just that I don't see a reason to like music just because the musician is disabled. If he was bad at playing to give his video a like could encourage him to continue to play and waste his time. I personally wouldn't dislike his video in that case, but some people will and it's part of being a performer. However there are legitimate reasons for someone not liking a particular type of music, or a musician. Some people don't like music at all. Because of science we know that from person to person our senses can be differnt. For example some people can't see certin colors, colorblind people see the world differently then those of us who are not colorblind. The same goes for hearing. That's why there are so many genres of music. I don't care for speed metal as it sounds like unpleasent noise to me. Where some people love it. Also I find that the older I get the more my musical taste has expanded. I like rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass, some country mostly outlaw country like johnny cash type stuff, classical music etc. When I was younger I was into rock music and a bit of blues, no jazz etc. My point is just because someone hits a thumbs down, doesn't mean anything other then they didn't like the music, with exceptions for trolls, but you have to expect that on a public forum like youtube. Uploaders of videos have the option of disabling comments, so if they wanted to they could get no feedback. All the other stuff about the soul or anything mystical or otherwise supernatural is silly in this particular case. One last point is can you imagine a world where no one is allowed to criticize anyone? That to me would be a frightening world. It would be like something out of a George Orwell novel. Any type of censorship is ultimately dangerous, and has consequences much worse then being offended by a thumbs down. My Grandfather and great Uncle both were trained paratroopers for the United States in WW2. They both enlisted to help preserve our rights to be free, with that comes people who are mean, but that's a small price for freedom. So don't get upset about a thumbs down, maybe feel sorry for them that they can't enjoy this beautiful guitar playing like you, and me.

This is the first time a guitar performance brings tears to my eyes... he's blind but he puts his soul in his guitar... he can't see with his eyes, but he can see with his soul, and he sees things we're unable to see... it's us who are blind from a spiritual point of view... his music made me rethink a lot of things in this life, it's the most expressive music i've ever heard... I'm not a musician but to me it sounds like he's vigorously playing 3 parts at once. I hear the melody, the accompaniment and drums. I'm sure people who have a musical background could explain it better but I love it. Even if I don't fully understand it.
I'm sure, all of you who have seen the clips of Thanh Dien guitar still think that he learned guitar through school, but that's not the case, he never did, only when he was young. he only listens to music through old cassette radios of the 60s and 70s, but because of his natural passion for aspiration, with an unlucky person who is blind, his superiors compensated him with a memory and skill. Superhuman ability than humans, worthy of the title of world guitar star.

I'm not a musician but to me it sounds like he's vigorously playing 3 parts at once. I hear the melody, the accompaniment and drums. I'm sure people who have a musical background could explain it better but I love it. Even if I don't fully understand it.
