Hello Emma. I love watching your instructional videos. And yes, you really are a professional wood turner, but also a good teacher. Sometimes I'm not sure in which order I should proceed when turning, and then I think: "Just ask Emma!" Then I watch you again, and lo and behold, I was thinking too complicatedly, and with you a lot of things often become clear to me quickly. You and your work are wonderful. Especially when you've seen you live, like in May in Olbernhau, at the DFT. How do you manage your professional life? Do you travel around and turn wood, or do you also give courses at home in England? Your own collection of colors and pigments is certainly a great success, I bought the pigments and am absolutely delighted. I wish you a wonderful Advent season, and hope that you can enjoy it a little in peace, although I imagine that you have a lot to do right now. Take care of yourself while traveling and stay healthy. Maybe I'll meet you again on a forum, until then all I have is TH-cam. Best wishes, Schorschi, a big fan from the far north of Germany.
I've never seen anyone using those texturing tools before. Pretty cool. Also I'm wearing a t-shirt with the IT quote "have you tried turning it off and on again?" Love that it works for wood turning as well as computers!
Very nicely done Emma. I must commend you on your attention to detail describing what you're doing. Just great!! I also enjoyed NOT having distracting music playing while watching the video. Keep the great work coming😊😊
After applying the sanding sealer, you sand it again. Am I right in saying the grit should be the last one you used before applying the sanding sealer, in your case, 320?
You should have someone build you a platform to raise you up cause those wood shaving were hammering you I never thought height had anything to do with it but it does a.platform wouldn't be unsafe the flying wood chips are a little dangerous
I normally use a full, powered respirator with gas and particle filters, but unfortunately this was filmed in Germany and I was limited as to what I could bring 😢
Hey not picking you apart but could you have someone build you a platform to raise you up so the wood shavings would not hit you in the face so much cause after you mentioned that I seen you getting hammered by shavings I don't know if the shield would solve it 100% when you get back to your shop think about it
Tina, you said because you’re short you get shavings in your face. I have turner friends who elevate themselves with a platform to get above the workspace. Why don’t you do that? It’s just a few lengths of wall framing timbers and some 12 mil plywood. Not very expensive.
I love your work. The addition of color to your expert turning is glorious! Thank you...
I find your accent, your voice, and your mannerisms absolutely charming. The things you make are fantastic.
Agreed. Also it reminds me of Philomena Cunk.
@@CallmeSam00😂😂😂 Not sure how to take that! 😂😂😂😂
Well thank you Mr Cuddles 🥰

30 years of turning and still learning… great video!
Every day is a school day and I love it when I learn something new or improve a skill 🤩

It is also very pleasant to look at the almost standard technique for working with wood lathes. Thank you!
Glad you like it!

Perfect job, thank you so much for great video
So freakin' cool!!!
This is so great. I'm curious what kind of spray lacquer you were using?
Great Job!!!
Very nice congratulations
So this is where you have been hiding. I have missed seeing your videos on the Tiny Turner. 😁
Thanks for the video, I always appreciate your videos. I notice you don’t have any wings on your bowl gouge. What angle/grind do you use?
After applying the sanding sealer, you sand it again. Am I right in saying the grit should be the last one you used before applying the sanding sealer, in your case, 320?
? Have you ever done this with resin?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌✌✌

Emma. You need to use an organic respirator for lacquer not a dust mask. 😮
I normally use a full, powered respirator with gas and particle filters, but unfortunately this was filmed in Germany and I was limited as to what I could bring 😢
And my case was stuck at the airport when I filmed this one (which had a half face mask in it with an A2/P3 filter on it 😢

Nice Job! But y are a bit to small for this Stratos. It looks very uncomfortable ...

Why no face shield?
Great looking platter
