Drone footage was taken with a DJI mini 2 se at 2.7K: 2720 × 1530@30 fps
Camera footage was taken with a DJI osmo action 3 at 4K: 3840 x 2160 @30 fps
It's a great site. I would politely suggest, though, that the numbers of people, the fairground, etc, amounts to a 'crowd', and that flying there when busy is ill-advised at best and unlawful at worst.
Thanks, I don't believe the area I was flying over was a "crowd" it seemed pretty empty ,apart from the fairground, which I avoided. I would say a crowd is more like a music festival, busy high street or very busy beach. But I can see that each person's definition of a crowd is different 🤔. But thanks for letting me know in a kind way 😊.

@@RobinDrones agreed, I have noticed on a couple of occasions the interest of birds nearing the drone when I flew, I quickly brought it back just in case 🤟
@ScotlandandMe Yes it's a good idea to bring your drone home, but also someone told me to increase atltutude when birds are interested apparently they think the drone is a predator.
@@RobinDrones had to do it yesterday, done small birds were showing a very close interest to the drone, so I went straight up then brought it back lol

Genuine question. Getting a drone soon. Where does that fall with regards to flying near crowds or congregated people??
Well, my view on that is its open to interpretation. I think of crowds as a music festival, busy high street, a protest or a very busy beach. And I believe you can fly near crowds but just not over them. But what do you think? What drone are you planning to get?

I think you’re probably right because that beach looked spread out with people rather than like a concert say 1000 people plus

Great upload mate. Just got the Mini 2SE. Cant wait to get shots like these. In response to the people posting about crowds, id say do the FAA course, then make your own decisions.

Do you mean when I zoomed in to the boat, if so, that's digital Zoom holding the function button while using the scroll wheel to zoom.

It's actually very scary 😨 I was worried about seagulls clipping the drone the entire time! I think if I had a mini 3 pro I wouldn't want to risk flying over water at all 🤔
Is the yaw and gimbal settings left as factory or did you tweak them… don’t know much about that but will play around with the settings
Yes for now they are on the factory settings, I did fly in sports mode up to the old "ruins" that's why it panned round extremely fast, plus I lost signal there as I was sat next to the brick wall. I must get around to playing with those settings to get a smoother flight 😁.
Love Whitby Robin not been for a few years thanks for the look around. As we spoke about before Mini 4 on the horizon.
First time I've been, and this is the furthest north I've been in the UK! Yes, the mini 4, hopefully, will be out soon. I'm not sure how much of an upgrade it will be compared to the mini 2 se, though, bigger sensor and longer flight time, I guess, but the mini 3 has those already.
How did you film in 4K?
Sorry, I get this question a lot. I've upscaled it to 4k with video editing. I put it in the description as I feel some people wouldn't watch it if it wasn't 4k 😁
