This is an event where a huge wild jumbo (almost 10’ tall) was relocated to “Horowpathana” Elephant Holding Ground” which is a man-made elephant habitat to foster dangerous, aggressive & destructive elephants of Sri Lanka. This jumbo is in the habit of frequenting the village and destroying their houses & household living and their hard-earned agriculture crops on a regular routine. Cause of this jumbo’s invading the village, it has become a life threatening and a stressful affair to make a living or to live in the village or to travel within the village, for its villages of all folks of life no matte you are an infant, young or an elder. This operation was successfully executed by a team of experts of the Department of Wildlife Officials with their expertise and with the numerous help of the villages for the relocation of this wild elephant.
