    OMG. The amount of work that she has to do to maintain 90+ rooms and raise 6 children plus the upkeep of the grounds, horses and good causes and she looks so attractive. Wow!

    Very admirable! It can be utterly overwhelming to inherit something in disrepair. So many people seem to give up, so I have tremendous respect for anyone who keeps a hereditary landholding alive.

    Such privilege. O well, we all have our cards and we must play them as good as we can, regardless of what we are dealt.

      Such privilege? She had smart ancestors and parents who stuck with the requirement of producing blue blood! We understand how breeding matters with our dogs and horses, but when it comes to people, we play stupid and go only by love even though our country has the most divorces in the world. That much marrying for love instead with the head!

    I too have a name starting with Graf von and my family goes back over 900 years. I live in the US and still go under Graf von and not Count because titles became part of our names and are not translatable. By the way, if you do translate you might as well include the "von"as well, right?

    That's old money! Not wearing expensive designer clothes everyday but planning for the continuence of her family's inheritance and passing on of the name.

    Nobles are diplomats and interpreters of their respective countries naturally.

      Noble titles still exist in Germany, but the nobility are not allowed given any legal privilege or status anymore. :)

    What does that mean to say she organizes events "all on her own"? Would they say a man organized events "all on his own"?

    • @martialme84
      @martialme84 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably just some interpreter struggling to translate from one language into another where it doesn´t fit too well...

    • @pixibelle3282
      @pixibelle3282 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you can say a man organised events all on his own especially since most men have secretaries etc to help them.
