I replace my impeller every YEAR ! It's such a vital part of the cooling system I'm surprised you left it so long . Love the videos.

Thanks Johnny, glad you like the videos. Everyone is different, and I would only replace an impeller if it has run dry for a period. I always carry two spare ones on board, and a new impeller is just as likely to wear out if it's run dry as an old one.

Ah I love it!! "There's the castle. I had a look at the picture and decided...you know what? I couldn't be arsed walking all the way up to look at it" Lol

Ye are class. Another absorbing video. Thanks for putting it up. It must be great to be able to visit so many of the bays and islands on Lough Erne. That option is rarely available on the Shannon lakes.

Glad this popped up. All so natural and lovely people. From Cornwall, liked the Shrimpers of course.

Glad you enjoyed it Butch78. We had Driftwood in Newlyn on our way to France. Cornwall is one of my favourite places 👍

Brilliant video. Enjoying the Lough Erne playlist. What charts are those and where can they be purchased? I do prefer a hard copy over the plotter.

Thanks Diane, yes I agree you can't beat paper charts. I got mine from www.iwai.ie/shop hope that helps 👍

Just a question, why do you cruse with your fenders overboard. You don't need them, they just cause more drag and increase compunction.

      Hi Mark,
On inland waterways as opposed to the sea you find yourself using your fenders a lot more. That's because on inland waterways you have much shorter distances between moorings. But also along the way you have to pass through locks where your fenders are also needed. Sailing boats would normally lift their fenders because they heel over, and even then they are only used on the open lakes. On a cruiser you've no heeling so it's normal practice to leave them down and keep the decks clear. Hope that explains it.

Hi Jason, the charts are available from iwai.ie/shop
I think the one I was using was a large book type that covered the Shannon too👍
