@@KyleHandy i haven’t started yet. I am studying for my license and working on creating a strategy. Trying to cover as much ground as i can doing my due diligence so I can hit the ground running when the time comes.
Awesome! I love the prep. If starting with your sphere, the script is simply just reaching out, catching up, and informing them of your recent career move. Have confidence and let them know you’re working with a professional agency and are committed to helping them or any referrals they can manage to send over. Try and set an appt to grab coffee or lunch and build relationships that way. If FSBO or expired or anything like that, then you’ll need more specific scripts. I have one for FSBO’s on my channel. And there are ones for expireds on TH-cam. Check out Kevin Ward.
Congratulations on passing your exam! That's fantastic news, and I'm thrilled to hear about your success. If you have any questions or if there's anything specific you'd like to know or discuss as you progress in your real estate journey, please feel free to share. Your dedication and hard work have paid off, and I'm here to support you in your continued success in the real estate industry!
Hey Doubleozay! Thank you for sharing your career aspirations! Transitioning from working with the railroad to becoming a real estate agent is an exciting step, and I'm here to support you in your journey. If you're located in San Antonio (SA), there are a few options for obtaining your real estate license. Here are a couple of recommendations: Real estate schools: Look for reputable real estate schools in San Antonio that offer pre-licensing courses approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). Some popular options in the area include Champions School of Real Estate, Real Estate Training Systems (RETS), and Kaplan Real Estate Education. These schools provide comprehensive courses that will prepare you for the licensing exam. Online education providers: Consider online platforms that offer TREC-approved real estate courses. These platforms allow you to study at your own pace and offer the flexibility to balance your current work commitments with your real estate education. Examples include Aceable Agent, Real Estate Express, and The CE Shop. When selecting a licensing program, consider factors such as course quality, flexibility, cost, and student reviews to find the best fit for your needs and learning style. It's also a good idea to reach out to the schools or providers directly to get more information and clarify any questions you may have. Additionally, I recommend reaching out to local real estate associations in San Antonio, such as the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR), for further guidance and recommendations. They can provide valuable insights and resources to help you kick-start your real estate career. I wish you the best of luck in pursuing your real estate license! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! I'm delighted to hear that you found the video and steps helpful, and I truly appreciate your good wishes for my family. I'm committed to creating more valuable content for you and others on my channel, covering a wide range of topics. If you have specific questions, requests, or suggestions for future video topics, please don't hesitate to let me know. Your feedback and engagement are incredibly motivating, and I look forward to continuing this journey with you. Wishing you all the best in your endeavors, and may your path be filled with success and blessings as well!
Don't rule out the obvious. If you're an outdoors person, make sure you're hanging out at Cabela's or outdoor shows. Networking at our local grocery chain in their high value store with shirt or name tag gains questions and gets noticed. Using the phone from your closet at home doesn't get you seen so get in some of both.
Thank you for sharing these valuable networking tips! You're absolutely right; effective networking can happen in a variety of places, not just industry-specific events. Whether it's at outdoor shows, local stores, or community events, making yourself visible and approachable in your area can lead to valuable connections and opportunities. Diversifying your networking efforts and finding ways to engage with your local community is a smart strategy for real estate professionals. These insights are a great reminder that networking opportunities are all around us, and being proactive in seeking them out can be highly beneficial. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
This definitely applies to experienced agents as well. As a broker with 20 years experience, the market shift has me back asking “how can I generate new business for my team and I?” Great video thanks for helping the real estate community
I'm SO confused. I need a broker to sign my application before I take the exam.... How do I get my application signed by a broker so I may take my licensing exams?
WOW... I got my license for FL and TX and that never came up ? That's LIMITING someone is just starting...forcing such decision with limited knowledge. What state ?
I feel the same way! Very overwhelmed. There so much we need to do, so much information but I wish I could have a list of structure of connecting all the dots.
I can't even get leads, and no help from my broker, a month in and absolutely nothing done or learned, so disappointing 😔 I love the video but i have nothing to start with, and this video is for the people who have leads already
I'm sorry to hear about your challenges and the lack of support from your broker during your first month in real estate. Starting a career in real estate can indeed be tough, especially without initial leads or guidance. Remember that it's not uncommon to face challenges at the beginning of your real estate career, but with the right strategies and a positive mindset, you can overcome them. Don't be discouraged; instead, use this time to learn and prepare for the opportunities that will come your way. Your perseverance and determination will pay off in the long run.
