Meh, I disagree. Robert has a fairly dangerous job and is single. He has a higher-than-average risk of dying and has no one to take over for him if something happens. Someone with a safer, stable job who has a spouse makes way more sense.
I have a feeling after some episodes later the will maybe changed to a bit to that direction (Spoilers) After all Amy is a good friend of Debra so since Amy is noqw part if the family I think the will will be altered to in the event the Guardianship goes to Robert and Amy.

Funnily enough my parents told me my grandparents would be the one to me and not my god parents. My god parents was actually 4th choice. It actually went both sets of grandparents, my aunt and uncle then my god parents (who were around my grandparents age)

if you don’t want Marie or Robert, get Linda and her husband to babysit on a daily basis… not all relatives would fight over who would get the kids, you can’t be hurtful like that, rather not say anything than say Linda who they never see, will be mom number 2
"Godparent" is a religious concept, not a legally recognized title. You need to specifically specify who becomes their guardians in the event of your demise...

I would love having my aunt and uncle take me in when my parents die, but we have to be realistic. By that time, my aunt and uncle won't be old enough to do that...heck, they might be dead, God forbid. My sister said she would take me in, but my sister has health problems more than I do. Again, God forbid, she might die sooner than my parents. Then we have my brother, he has my dad's short fuse and medical problems too. And other personal stuff. So I am screwed.
