    I’m happy that you’re bike is up and running man. I’ll definitely be sending my ECU to be corrected at the same place you did. I’d love to bring it in person to Moore Mafia but don’t have the time or funds for that. Great video thank you so much.

    I live in the states and Moore Mafia did the ecu flash on my 08 600 GSXR. That tune woke my bike up and I was able to hang with the liter bikes at the track. My 09 R1 has a power commander and it runs strong. I’m now hesitant to send in my ecu and eliminate the power commander. I think I’ll have the bike dyno’ed to see where it stands. I certainly don’t want to give up that cross plane sound. For me that’s half of the riding experience. Thanks for the update

    • @JT2JZ
      @JT2JZ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t think you would have the major issues I had from being out of country.
      The sound is a bummer for sure though. You basically have to decide if you want more power or Crossplane character / sound.

      I have. 2011 r1. I set up my power commander. Currently getting my ecu flashed by sBu. (Super bike unlimited) after the flash I’m going to dyno tune with a local company thru my power commander. I’ll let u know the difference. Rn I can’t get it over 180. Holding open throttle 100% in 6th. Max is 175 gps. 192 on dash. I’ll fill u in by September 20th😂

    JT, thanks for sharing your experiences. You have lots of insight. I’ve found and handful of Moore Maria customers online that have had problems with his mail in tubes and Pops and Bang Tune. I’d only feel 100% safe if dyno tuning with him if it was an option. Moore’s tunes seem to bring power and character with the pops, bangs and gurgling. I can’t find one unhappy customer with Bauce Racing. From what I gather is his tunes are very refined for racing so I’m not surprised no sound and fires work show with Bauce. Xplane is another R1 wizard with very refined tunes. For my 23 R1 I’m trying to decide between Xplane and Bauce. Anthony seems very easy to reach and responds very fast so I might go that route. Xplane is hit and miss on communication.

    • @JT2JZ
      @JT2JZ  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you do choose xplane let me know how it turns out. I enjoy hearing real world feedback.
      Anthony at bauce is definitely very knowledgeable 👌.
      I think I would only use more mafia again if I had a Suzuki product. That seems to be his area of expertise.
      Im excited to try my 2006 gsxr1000 snow bike that Chris Moore just tuned for free ( because of all the hassle I had ) it seems to run great around the house. Im just waiting for the snow to accumulate and I’ll be making a few more videos on that.

    • @-mystical-16
      @-mystical-16 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At least Chris Moore is trying to make it up for you. I give him that and as big plus. I just completed my first service and I’m almost learning towards getting my ECU flashed by Bauce Racing. Anthony and Pablo at Bauce are very responsive answering questions and are pretty laid back. I’m finding Nick at Xplane just too hard to reach or get a reply back. It makes me nervous if I run into problems that I may get ghosted. I understand he’s probably swamped or maybe life priorities taking over. I’m still struggling deciding because if I flash with Xplane now I could make the six hour drive in the future to dyno with him to get the AFR’s on point. Or I could play it safe and get a Bauce tune with no chance of a dyno as Jersey is too far. I’ll let you know soon.

    • @JT2JZ
      @JT2JZ  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @-mystical-16 I’ll give Chris more credit where it’s due. I don’t think anyone can top his customer service. He did flash my gsxr1000 snowbike and it seems to run great so far ( still waiting for snow to test it ). I think Suzuki products are where Chris really shines.
      As far as Yamaha products I would probably stick to bauce or xplane. Have heard great things about both. My experience with bauce was top notch. Tune quality and power delivery is very smooth and refined.

    Being someone ho met Chris Moore he’s a genuinely good guy and a really fair businessman he really does care about his customers and he tries everything he can to make sure you’re satisfied and if you aren’t satisfied still he’ll happily suggest other rooming companies that would treat you just about as much customer care as he would give.

    I have an issue similar to what you are going through, but with a Fz8. The first time the ECU was flashed it was doing the same as yours. The tuner told me my bike was messed up even though I only disconnected the ECU, he tried flashing it again and still same result so I asked for a refund, but I could only get a refund if I sent the ECU back to be re-flashed to stock. I finally sent my ECU to 2WDW who flashed the ECU and the bike runs amazing but now doesn't have a speedometer or odometer so now the ECU is going back to 2WDW for a re-flash, so hoping 4th time is the charm. I'm in the US though. I will say I will in the future pay for a shop to tune the bike and avoid a mail in.

    • @JT2JZ

    • @JT2JZ
      @JT2JZ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bauce said there are two different main software applications that tuners use like “woolich “. So There are multiple different tuning softwares and depending on what one you choose there are multiple different tuning techniques with each software. So unless you do out of country tunes all the time, the odds of getting the sequence right first attempt it pretty low apparently.
      Bauce still took two attempts

      Starter motor, starter relay, and battery are all problems with the beginning years of the crossplane r1s, they all go early, when you change use Oem parts to replace no aftermarket even for the battery, to check if the starter motor is bad make sure it draws the proper amperage

      Exactly what he explained at the end lolo. Ur not just after high end speed. Tuning can help with SO many other variables. My 2011 shoots 3ft flames and sounds 10/10 better after my tune. On top of that overall just the power when u need it. It will hit that 100 mark almost instantly

    • @JT2JZ
      @JT2JZ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @moucheali3911
      @moucheali3911 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JT2JZ but why do you need more power in low rpm jus increase the speed when you want more power
      What does more.power do as opposed to more throttle for more power
      I can understand the new r1 which reduces the power at low rpm so that the throttle is less sensitive around corners and you can take it a bit more aggressive but not increasing the power at low rpm
      But I even think that is something I would like
