After doing more research, I think the only real problem with this is that TH-cam misled creators into thinking making videos for children and them collecting data from children was legal when it wasn't--COPPA was created 21 years ago and the only reason TH-cam is in trouble and not Twitter or Newgrounds is simply because those other sites don't market to young children and try to collect personal data from them specifically. It will undoubtedly lead to a lot of grief for children's channels in the coming months, but if it means TH-cam stops being a Karen and encourages un-marketable adult animation again like they did before Google bought them, then maybe things will just be different, rather than worse.
KickUp HammyDude That's the part of COPPA that still concerns me. People who post straight-up edge should thrive in the post-COPPA TH-cam, but what about people that post neutral videos that don't target children but at the same time are safe enough for TH-cam Kids?
i love how saber doesn't know the turkish letters (like ü and ş) so he reads them as the closest looking letter and he butchers the spelling so bad because of it
to be honest animation in turkey is very new and most people see it as for kids like disney stuff. adult animation is obscure here and i like how bad cat breaks it.
also turkey loves their strays, theyre mostly cats but stray dogs are a thing too. you can see bowls of food and water just to feed the strays, they even tell us (especially in summer because they need to hydrate a lot) to put bowls in front of our houses. the strays are very friendly ass well, some even want pets

I've been following you for few months and I am so happy that you reviewed Bad Cat!
As an animator from Turkey, who worked with Anima İstanbul before; this movie was really a success Turkey. It is the first good quality animation movie ever made in Turkey and I've waited for a Şerafettin movie from the age of 10 to 25. Because Bülent Üstün always wanted to do this but there were no "animation companies" for years and years. So I am really happy that you enjoyed the animation and appreciated the feel of İstanbul. But I get why the story is without focus, we are not used to the classic "the hero's journey" story arc that Hollywood follows successfully and so the story here lacks of a main focus too. We want the story to go to weird and wild places fastly! Dunno why...
I want to add Şerafettin's Origin story, which is more disturbing :D He was actually the only animal who can talk to people because his dad is the man in the movie but his mother was a cat. Short for long; Years ago, his dad jerks off and doesn't clean and his female cat sits on the semen. So months later Şero borns aggresivly with killing his mother... :I (I mean Şero and his son Taco are half human :D )
The dialogues in dubbing may differ from Turkish to English 'cauze a lot of Turkish slangs or references wouldn't be translated in a way to make sense in English. Maybe there was a problem there.
And the zombie guy (Bülent Üstün himself) is the victim here. I totally feel the same with you :D But Şerafettin was actually his real cat in the 90's. So apparently this chasing was an inside joke for him at the beginning :)

I just gave this movie a watch today, and it's actually now one of my all-time favorite movies. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but out of all the things I enjoy in a film, it checks most of the boxes. Beautiful computer animation, funny dialogue, great fight scenes, sexual tension, a silly plot that's taken seriously, a villain that poses a real threat and lasts throughout the runtime with a clear goal in mind, and it's not afraid to show any blood or profanity. Shero is badass, Misket is hot as hell, Taco is adorable, Cizer is goofy... I could go on, but the characters are great. I like that Misket is somewhat of a positive influence on Shero, getting him to be more empathetic, and he gets to be a relatively nicer guy at the end of the movie than he was at the beginning.
I can see what you mean about the pacing, but it didn't bother me that much. And the whole "bank robbery" part didn't seem to come out of nowhere for me; the characters needed money, and that was a logical solution to it (however illegal it might've been). The only thing I had a problem with is the fact that a bit of the dialogue here and there wasn't voice-acted very well (mainly from Rifki), or the dialogue itself had cheesy wording. But it's not a huge glaring issue, and I could still sit through the whole movie with enjoyment.
All in all, a solid 9/10! I'd definitely watch it again if I wanted to see something with stupid fun. 😁
I personally love the white cat, she looks nice, and the animation of her and just everything is very smooth and nice. Her voice is also beautiful.

It's a Turkish movie, and "misket" means "marble" (the round things, not the material).
Whoever rendered it as "Miss Cat", must have relied on the follow-up pun. Or maybe they assumed it was an English term she was given to sound "exotic"?
(Şerafettin is a male name, the protagonist's and original comic's, "Şero" for short in this case. I only know the comics by name though, it's not my kind of humor.)

I suspected another actress (sounds like characters from a few games), but she didn't have it listed either. Maybe Saberspark can figure it out for us if the movie itself lists the dub actors.
That is, quite frankly, an incredibly good character design. He just has this huge aura of personality.

There's currently two sequels and amazingly they are working on another. I have no idea how or even why, but they are. I haven't bothered to see any of them not even the original Norm movie, but I've watched plenty of reviews and let me just tell you all three movies look awful. The sequels don't even have actual backgrounds. I'm serious. It had maybe two cars in the background and that's it. Review was more than enough Norm for me. No way am I going to watch the full movie.

Also I saw that my local Walmart was actually trying to sell this movie on Blu-ray for fifteen dollars. I was just seeing what new movies they got in and bam there it was and it was there for a super long time too. It didn't look like anybody was buying it since its dvd slot was always full.
