  • The Andersen A2 is a home EV charger like no other. It's got unrivalled build quality, comes in over 100 different finish options and is currently the only tethered charger that hides its cable when not in use - It really is the EV charger that pulls out all the stops
But all that decadence comes with a hefty price tag, £1589 with installation to be exact...
In this Andersen A2 review, Danny takes a look at this premium EV charger to help you decide if the its worth the asking price.

Hello. Nice Wallbox. I recommend adding a chargehanger.

Mine has started to corrode quite badly. Dissimilar metals.

Most practical + most beautiful tethered charger. Unfortunately it wipes the schedule randomly on WiFi outage, will start charging on the dearest rate and they call it a feature. So consider it a dumb charger and rely on your car's scheduler. (I have an A2 since 2020)

Hopefully they can sort this glitch. I've got a PodPoint and never had such issues. Been looking to change it to an Anderson but was put off by the Solar capability. I think the Zappi is the best all rounder but I prefer the looks of the Anderson!

@@Tankmania3 It's not a glitch unfortunately. It's a feature to comply with some UK legislation. Instead of providing some other method to bypass the scheduler to be able to charge during cloud outage, they wipe your scheduler settings and your car will get charged on the most expensive tariff from then on. Customer service explained it to me when I was 1st complaining about this.

Oh no, that's not good at all. That's put me off tbh. They need to sort it out.. In addition I believe their solar integration is feeble compared to the Zappi.

Actually, thinking about it, if it's UK law then why don't I lose my scheduler settings on my Pod Point, and we have plemty of wi-fi outages with Virgin Media/O2 🤔

@@Tankmania3 Maybe it has a proper way to temporarily bypass the scheduler in absence of workable cloud services. (or I was just fed BS)

Why such a high price? teltocharge also have wooden front and cost less

That's something you'd have to ask Andersen. I don't know of the product you mentioned, but Andersen obviously feel it can justify the price. And seems like it sells okay too.
