This is a heartfelt moment... I'm struggling to find the right words as I prepare to take a break from Artisan. 🥺 From my beginnings as a one-man band to witnessing the transformation of the company into what it is today, it's been a journey nothing short of magical. None of this would have been possible without my phenomenal team supporting every step of the way, and equally importantly, all of YOU. Your unwavering support has helped our growth, and for that, my gratitude knows no bounds. 🙏 While I might be stepping back for a bit, rest assured that Artisan will continue to provide the amazing content you've come to love. 😊 This isn't a farewell, but rather the start of a new chapter for all of us. Here's to the adventures that await!
Wow! Never saw that coming! Good luck Jordan and Lisa - your videos are an inspiration to anyone trying to make their business better - not just Sparks but any small business. Looking forward to the new content! ❤
Brave, but you will never look back. You have the mindset to make it work and you will look back on your experiences and feel so glad you did it and you had them! Always do these things when you can! Safe journey!
My Father had a small business that failed in the late 50s, He burnt out, and it all came crashing down. The small business that I joined in 2001 down in Cornwall had 5 Engineers and 5 people in the office including sales. When after 25 years or so, the Boss took a Big step back from MD to Chairman and left the day-to-day running to the team, we took off and flew. After another 20 Years the MD stood down and the company was sold to another one in the same field, that we had been dealing with for years, and are respected in this field, I and a few others were retiring anyway, so a mainly younger staff anyway. They are still there, trading well, and as secure as anyone can be nowadays 3 Years later and still bearing the name of the founder, and I am still proud to say that I worked for them. To let a bird fly, do not clip their wings, allow them to flourish, but also remind them who the real Boss is from time to time. You are taking a very brave sabbatical, and I congratulate you for making room for more than one dream to come true at once. Take your time, bottom out, and slowly climb back in, on your terms, with fresh eyes, and a much relaxed perspective.
I'd just like to say from a man who was an industrial electrician for 50 years and retired in October 2020 but obviously although controlled up to 40 sparks on huge contracts but have never run a company I would like to congratulate you on your great job in creating from what have viewed a top electrical company who does things the correct way because I must tell you my last 15 years in this industry has been somewhat depressing seeing the standards drop and the top clients and industry bosses and union bosses trying their best to downgrade our industry, but watching your company operate its obvious that your methods should be copied by other owners ,but I'm afraid the quick buck overrides common decency
"..downgrade our industry,." How Union downgrrade YOUR industry? (Because they were trying to get the workers rights, straight? Not all the people that become electricians are the same. Everyone wants the best of the best to get most out of them at the low price, as low as possible.. This business owner wants to run his electrical company remotly.. :)) forget about it. An wlectrical company, not a bunch of lawyers... on laptops... He thinks he can afford to travel around the globe while his employers works their socks up to bring money in it's company.. This is not hate. This is an old trick.. I am afraid yoi are either next to your employers or remain in Asia, and that is the end of. Meditate about how good you are and you will be better of.. I am waiting paciently your reply..
Good luck on journey But someone defo had a brain fart, including that pub ending .that was raw to watch By the looks of it ,not one of them ,wanted to be there ... no handshakes, hugs,or employee words .. Seems this came out of the blue ,for them as it did for us ... The pub ending definitely turned it, into a episode of the office for them all ...just needed the music
All the very best of luck to you! I lived for 5 years in Malaysia, and am now in France (the Corrèze departement, or the Limousin region if you prefer older names). Marseille should be great, and even the heat should be fine after SE Asia. Add me to any list forming of people saying they're interested in seeing videos from your adventure!
Ah man, really happy for you both. Not an electrican, or even a keen DIYer, just really enjoyed your videos over the last few years. All the best for the future!
It's always been a bit of a puzzle for me why I subscribed and keep watching these Artisan videos. I mean I live in New Zealand and I'm not a sparky but the truth is I think it's you, Jordan, your team and your journey and your passion to build what to me seems to be a gold standard business. You've built something truly commendable 👏👏👏👏 Thank you for all the great content over the years and all the best for this next chapter in the Artisan story. Can't wait to see where it takes you and what you get up to next 🙂🙂 Blessings from New Zealand. Kia kaha.
I also live in New Zealand and am a fire alarm technician. I love watching these videos because they always pride themselves on doing things properly and the best job possible - something that I have taken onboard and strive to achieve myself now. Thanks
@@mattrode8964 great point. Jordan's commitment to excellence is hugely inspiring, the fact he has built a team equally committed to it makes it doubly so.
Great news. Having uprooted myself and moved to Thailand for two years I feel this emotional connection with you! You’ll love it! Thailands electrics is completely shocking and I look forward to you doing reviews of the street electrics lol you’ll see ;) Wishing you all the best. Relax and enjoy Thailand 🇹🇭 land of smiles!
Thank you for your honesty and advice, I have and my electrical company benefited from your videos. Relax now and enjoy each day. Rob the South African
You should be so proud of what you've achieved and are achieving you've got a great company with great staff you wasn't born with a silver spoon in your mouth you've worked grafted for what you have well done. 👍
sh/7 the bed Jordan, an actual video that was not click bait! 😅 I wish you both all the very best, and obviously Artisan to go from strength to strength 💪👍👍
Some peoples life can be in one big book, others in separate volumes. Nothing wrong with either. Yours will be the latter and you’re now starting that next volume. All the very best and look forward to the content about the volunteer work, as well as some interesting Indonesian electrics! Safe travels…
My Friend is in Bangkok at the moment, the electrics are a bit rogue but not bad. I’ve seen some mental electrics in India if you head that way. Life is an adventure, have at it!!
I know exactly what you're going through Jordan, I did exactly the same thing back in 2004. Sold my house and as many things as possible, packed up the rest and went for it. I moved the the Netherlands to the UK, there have been times I started thinking I made a big mistake but I hung in there. Now 19 years later I feel it was the best decision I've ever made. Moral of the story, don't let fear of the unknown and doubt hold you back. Go for it and I wish you and the wife good luck in all you do.
SO SORRY TO SEE YOU GO, I HAVE WATCHED YOUR VIDEOS FROM DAY 1. MAY I WISH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY THE VER❤Y BEST OF LUCK. GOD BLESS. WILLIAM G FROM 🏴
Jordan I am really shocked. I thought another click bait but this one is really different video. I think you were first sparky on TH-cam I started to follow and watched you way back when you were one man band. I wish you all the best on your new journey. Keep safe.
Hey Jordan, absolutely love the content you and the folks at Artisan have produced! Hope you and Lisa both have a most amazing journey together (I'm already looking forward to seeing what Thai electrics look like! 😇) and we all know the team at Artisan will keep on producing excellent content whilst you're both having a very well earned break! 🏝👍 Also; Having travelled to/from Marseille many times myself (My avatar selfie was taken at St. Charles!) you might find the train works out better than flying for trips to/from the office. The best/easiest route would be Marseille -> Lille (TGV), Lille -> London (St. P, Eurostar), then London (Kings X, next door to St. P) -> Cambridge, and will save a lot of stress over variable airport connections, queues and baggage delays...With the added advantage you get to see some of the most breathtaking scenery, and you can keep your phone/hotspot on throughout the journey if you want! 🇬🇧🚄💨🇫🇷😇👍 (N.B: Changing in Lille is preferable to Paris. Aside from many more connections with Eurostar to London (From Brussels & Amsterdam, as well as Paris) Lille's two stations are just 300ft/two minutes apart! 😀)
Good Luck to you Jordan. Being one of your original channel subscribers, i have followed you from day 1 and jumped onboard the Journey. Hope all goes well for you mate. Big change but i’m sure you’ll be fine. You’ve done amazingly well..👏🏻👏🏻
You seem like a great guy and good boss and value your staff. My boss hasn’t said thanks once to me In 3 years. Please and thank yous go along way. Good luck in the future
Literally just quit my job in February and done pretty much the same thing. Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Very relatable video. You are only one decision away from changing your life. You will not regret it. Very best of luck 😊👍
Great job Jordan. Hope your new beginnings work out very well for you! Glad to see your taking a break, I am sure your great team that you assembled will keep the ship upright and steaming forward! 👍🤠
Massive well done to you dude. It has been a pleasure to watch your channel and your business grow over the years. Safe travels and embrace your new chapter.
It's nice to see you finally able to do something that you love, I hope it's stress free and all goes well. Hard to believe I've watched you from the beginning and I look forward to watching your story grow and that of the team back home.
Best wishes Jordan. I’ve done the big adventure four times now as an electrician. UK - Germany 2yrs - UK - Australia 15yrs - UK. Every time it is a huge leap in the dark. Waking up in the middle of the night is very stressful and constantly asking yourself “am I REALLY doing the right thing”. It will be tough living as a foreigner in another country but there are many benefits. You become a better person if you are mentally tough enough. I have no doubt you are, being with Lisa. There are differences in wiring regs in other countries. It will highlight the good and the not so good here in the UK, believe it or not. Best wishes to you both.
Well done to you Jordan and your good lady Lisa! What a really brave thing to do. Wow! Will be very interested to see how it works for you all! Good luck!
Good luck Jordan and remember this YOU have the MIDAS TOUCH everything you touch turns to gold . As for me I have had addiction problems and I am doing my 18TH EDITION in November I hope someone gives me a chance in the Manchester area, keep inspiring us sparks Jordan .
Hi Jordan, it is bit hard to see you going, but good luck and all the very best. I have learnt alot from your videos. sometimes, I search your videos for ideas before I attend a job, . Looking forward for great stuff. All the best
Jordan, your an inspiration to me at a time in my life when I really need to some honest Truth. What you have built and your standard of life is amazing to me. I cant wait to see how you and the lads get on over the coming year. The best of Luck to you and Lisa. Big Love 💞💞
Good luck in your new adventures, im fairly new to your channel but its one of the best electrician channels out there (i'm no sparky btw just a DIY kinda guy) enjoy and look forward to seeing more of your videos
Yourself and Lisa are going to have this amazing journey so make sure you are going to enjoy every moment of it , you worked very hard to get to this point you have a great team behind you and will do a great job when you are off doing your thing , BEST OF LUCK.
When you said you would be 6000 miles away I got excited for a moment that you might be coming to Australia, but then I realised that would be more like 10-11,000 miles 😂 .. Anyway, I look forward to seeing your future adventures from SE Asia.
Jordan - you are a top fella -change can feel scary - but change is good - I have done it - you are doing 100% the right thing for you both right now .... the guys will manage - enjoy Asia ... real Asia (away from touristc areas) ... it's awesome 😀
Good luck mate, and well earned. Vietnam, Thailand and Vietnam are beautiful. I’d definitely recommend heading to Tam Coc, just outside of Ninh Binh, Vietnam, it’s stunning. Rent some bicycles and cycle round the rice paddies and cycle to the beautiful view point just outside of town. If you want to find a really quiet, beautiful beach in Thailand, I’d recommend the south coast of Koh Samui. Me and my mate found a nice stretch of beach with a bar and hardly anyone in sight! Also, I you like curry, Malaysia will be heaven. Good luck!
I've got attached to watching Artisan Electrics and all u guys and ill miss seeing u Jordan. Take care stay safe be lucky bud. And hurry the hell back your be so missed ❤
I feel like I have just watched an episode of The Office. I can just picture David Brent in that office and doing that super awkward goodbye scene 17:15 🤣 Best of luck on your travels Jordan.
You know I don’t comment much and having been with you on your journey from the beginning best of luck I have been lucky to travel around the world several times over and moves like this can only happen with the love support of your family. All the best on your continuing journey.
Fantastic! Delighted to hear about your project and to see you realising your dream. My wife & I took a one year sabbatical 31 years ago ….. and we’re still living the dream and hope the same can happen to you. Good luck, take care and most of all, look after yourselves!
I convinced my wife to sell our house and take a year off work to do some travelling many years ago now. Not only was it an amazing trip, but it totally shifted my mindset of how I should be living my life. So while it may be scary now, you'll look back on this decision as one of the best you ever made. It takes courage to step away from the comfort of what you know, but it will make you grow as a person. This will be a life-defining experience, so hold on tight and enjoy the ride. 👍
Wow! This is a bolt from the blue, I can't afford to be a channel member but I've been subscribed for a good few years now so I was aware of your volunteer work but not that you intended goung off to do some more. What a brave thing to do and the fact that you find it so scary makes you even more brave in my book. I hope you're beginning the wind-down process now, enjoy your rest then come back online to show us the beautiful places around you. I sincerely wish you both well, really excited for you and for us when we get to join in the fun! God bless and good luck.🙏👍😊
Hello Jordon I am a fellow Brit living in Thailand. Have been watching your channel for the last year or so along with Cory’s. I’ll email you so if you want to get in touch you can. Happy to help. You will find the Thai electrics at the opposite end of the scale to your safety standards. Regards Chris
Jordan good luck to you and your family on your trip to Asia. You are a brilliant sparky, boss, great youtube presenter and a very nice bloke. Keep your chin up mate. Look forward to hearing how you are getting on buddy.👍👍👍
All the best on your journey forwards Jordan and Lisa. You’ve got a great team and they’ll be there to support your next steps in your life together away!
Thank you Jordan. That video reduced me to tears. I wish my ex employer for 25 years had your commitment to their staff! I have been watching your channel since 2020 and wish you the best of luck!👍👍.
Gotta say thank you Jordan I've watched you from the beginning old vivaro revile as a spark not always bin happy with what you've done but appreciated your effort and your ability to understand when you've made a mistake . Wish you well for the future, you have made it possible for an electrician to just put themselves out there . Wish you well lad x
Good luck Jordan a well Deserved rest. It’s a big step , but imo one you needed to take …refresh do something you wanted to do .. I have retired now and I can tell you I have never felt better ….
I really related to you Jordan. The first part of the video at least. Not really an issue with violent delinquent neighbours for me but definitely relate to the whole building something and fighting my way out of the social slavery and making something big. For me, I'm hands on and love doing the work, I've seen this in you too, just watching your videos. Your videos have helped me define my decision to embrace electrical installation. From the point of being faced with a univers of confusion to getting my grades and getting into electrical level 2. I'm still level 2 but I am committed and passionate about going the whole way and still to continue after too. I'm still watching you videos because it keeps a fresh crisp reason why I'm doing what I am doing. I wish the best for you and your family and hope we'll still see you in future videos.
I didn't see this coming. What an amazing decision to make; you will love Asia, especially its wiring....... I travelled between contracts for ten years and can not recommend seeing the world enough. I would love to take people on to run the business one day. Good luck and enjoy.
Good luck Jordan and can’t wait to see your new content from Thailand and France etc. Would be interesting to see their electrical installations if you get a chance
I trust that your dream comes true as you wish it would and not into a nightmare as it can become for some. Take it from me, and no doubt from others, wherever you travel, there is no escape from being whoever you are. I spent 16 years in the Middle East and further time in the Far East. I had some mazing times, did things that were unique, gained two children in the Far East, all down to the efforts and sacrifices of my late wife. There was an unofficial crash course in neonatal care in Japan due to an early and somewhat unscheduled arrival, all in Japanese. Just a small part of what I saw and experienced. So do not forget to have fun, gain new experiences and do learn how to dump your worries and concerns, they are not worth the brain power they waste. Do what you can do, leave what you should leave, and keep learning what you can achieve when you try.
Good luck to you m8, watched your videos through my apprenticeship and you've been a big help and a wealth of knowledge. My brother and I have been talking about moving to Portugal as well amazing country. Love the UK but the country is on it's way down and I don't see it getting any better in the next few decades hopefully once am your age I'll be lucky enough to be able to move away comfortably👍🏾.
I made this step 10 years ago when I sold my half of the business that my partner and I built 25 years ago. Bittersweet feelings, a little fearsome, yes, they had to hire 4 people to cover off what I used to do, but everything has worked out well. Good job Jordan, I've really enjoyed your videos. Good luck with your future adventures.
I tried to run my previous electrical contracting company from thailand, it all went wrong on the jobs and i had to return and sack everyone and complete the remaining contracts myself.
At the beginning of this year I started my dream job in hotel maintenance, and I been watching your videos I have learned so much and found it very interesting. Good luck mate

Yeah it’s also cringey to watch a grown man cry over what?? No one died - was there a tragedy? Smh you pathetic
The best part of the whole video for me was Ruben saying all he needed was a hug. We need more of this kind of thing.
Weird if that's what you want more of from an electrical installer channel 🫥

Followed you from the beginning and send a big congratulations.
When you said you would be 6000 miles away I got excited for a moment that you might be coming to Australia, but then I realised that would be more like 10-11,000 miles 😂 .. Anyway, I look forward to seeing your future adventures from SE Asia.
Good luck for the future. Will you be having a separate TH-cam channel for your travel experiences?
Good luck to yourself and Lisa on your new journey, Things wont be the same without you Jordan, but you have a great team that you can trust.
Best of luck, stay safe, may god be with you both
Jordan - you are a top fella -change can feel scary - but change is good - I have done it - you are doing 100% the right thing for you both right now .... the guys will manage - enjoy Asia ... real Asia (away from touristc areas) ... it's awesome 😀
Good luck and all the best to both of you.
Enjoy it.
You deserve it
Good luck mate, and well earned.
Good luck!
Good luck Jordan. Been watching you for many years. Even I got emotional 😅
My favourite team in this industry, following u on a daily basis in this platform .

I feel like I have just watched an episode of The Office. I can just picture David Brent in that office and doing that super awkward goodbye scene 17:15 🤣 Best of luck on your travels Jordan.
Spot on 😂
To build up a successful business in 6 years, despite all the challenges external and internal - hats off to you!
Thanks 😅
You know I don’t comment much and having been with you on your journey from the beginning best of luck I have been lucky to travel around the world several times over and moves like this can only happen with the love support of your family. All the best on your continuing journey.
Aw the best big man. Watched and enjoyed your videos pretty much from the get go I think. Got plenty from them. Helped make me a better spark! 👏
Amazing to hear that thanks for sharing!
Videos about electrical work in other countries would be interesting, indeed.
Coming soon…
Hello Jordon
I am a fellow Brit living in Thailand. Have been watching your channel for the last year or so along with Cory’s. I’ll email you so if you want to get in touch you can. Happy to help. You will find the Thai electrics at the opposite end of the scale to your safety standards.
Regards
Chris
Thanks for the journey so far and Enjoy your new journey.
Thank you! Will do!
Good luck. Jordan and Lisa hope everything goes well, love the channel, all the best for the future.

Soz ment transit !!! Vivaro was country boys van !! 🙈
Good luck
Jordan a well
Deserved rest.
Good luck Jordan, wishing you all the best. just amazing that you taken this leap. You only have the one life and its for living ..
I didn't see this coming. What an amazing decision to make; you will love Asia, especially its wiring....... I travelled between contracts for ten years and can not recommend seeing the world enough. I would love to take people on to run the business one day. Good luck and enjoy.
Good luck, and thanks for all the videos
Wish you all the best together, have a nice trip and stay in touch with the 5 Star Team. Greetings from Holland.
Good luck Jordan and can’t wait to see your new content from Thailand and France etc. Would be interesting to see their electrical installations if you get a chance
Thanks! I’ve already filmed a great video in an apartment block in Thailand - think you will love it!
@@artisanelectrics cool can’t wait to see it
I look forward to watching your adventures 👍
Best of luck and enjoy (very jealous)
Well, good luck; I hope it all works out for everyone.
Well done and best of luck with the adventure.
Best of luck on your travels!
I hadn't realised you were a fellow Cambridge person .... I'll keep an eye out for your vans driving around :)
Goodluck and all the best for your next chapter. Look forward to see what it brings!
Good luck Jordan. Hope you enjoy your travels. Look forward to seeing you back soon
Been a long term subscriber but never posted so this is just to say all the best on your travel's, I'm sure your team will do you proud.

Well done on what you have build hard work does pay off. Good luck in the next chapter sounds amazing.
