I’m 66 and reverted too! The Everly Brothers were one of my dad’s favorite bands. We had a basement rec room and he would play their music nightly. I was in bed above going to sleep and I learned all the Everly Brothers songs.
I am 82 and l remember dancing to this with my high school boyfriend. He is now 86 and we are still friends hanging out together and sometimes listening to our rock era music. Time flies when you are having fun.

To see the Everly Brothers from the audience I would have been turned away from the door because of the color of my skin. My dad was fixing to transfer from Ft. Riley, Kansas to the University of Oklahoma when this song was playing. He was in the 3rd Armored Div. of the U.S. Army. I was a little fellow of four years of age. I remember this song on our 1955 Dodge Coronet's radio as we were driving to Junction City. Wish I could go back to 1960. Great times.

I think John and Paul did a pretty nice job with Please Please Me, the harmony of which is clearly inspired by this song.

Dana Brinkmeier because structurally it is a strange song. It begins with a chorus. It has no actual verses, yet it has a bridge. Still a great song, but not your prototypical pop song structure.

I heard this as it came out never believing I would actually see them live which I did several times in the 80's. Wonderful vocalists and their harmony was an incredible never before heard sound.
