This is a clip from 1986-87 when they were touring the Think Visual album. The last time The Kinks played together in public was 1996 in Oslo, Norway. This was taken from a great DVD of old footage that was released in 2006.
Oh my God! This is simply entirely outstanding. Reminds a lot of of Television's Adventure album. Hear it if ya ain't yet. Kinks were as great as any band when they started and they only got better and better.

Ray says in his book that he wasn't as comfortable with Bob Henrit on drums as Mick Avory, but I can't fault either man's playing. Bob had a tough job, replacing a founding member of the Kinks, but he did great.
Das Video dazu ist auch super gemacht 😊
often the Kinks were just remembered for the 60s they did so much great stuff in the 80s.
Brill song, great singing and great guitar solo!
I’m so glad this recording exists on TH-cam.
pure new wave. great song. it s incredible how they could recreate their style over and over, always with high quality.
The Kinks are not new wave IMO. They are classic rock.
Beautiful song. I forget about it for awhile... then it's Lost and Found and played on repeat...

Thanks Chap .... may all of you in the Middle and North Atlantic weather this storm safely!
This performance was recorded on the television show called The Tube in 1987 , not in 2006
Agreed, I saw this on The Tube, a show introduced by Jools Holland and Paula Yates. They also performed 'Think Visual'.
Que temón!!! Escuchando en Junio de 2021!!!
wonderful
Hermosa canción!
Ray Davies in 2006 was 62 years old and if we see the video of 1986, he seems just as
young as in that year, how does he do to be like that ??

Bob Henrit is the world's greatest living rock drummer - replacing the legendary late Earl Palmer.
