Hey that's some awesome information you gained a subscription i watch a lot of your videos after i found that one Could you do a video about how you clean you t shirts ..... and maintain them
Non watch people will probably not get it, but I spent more than 2 months salary on a Tudor Black Bay 58 two years ago, and I am so glad I did. The feel and quality is amazing (having previously worn a Seiko SNK809) and it really makes me feel special wearing it.
Two things as a relative newcomer to your channel: 1. I'd love you to go through your desktop setup - you briefly showed it here but I'm curious about the organization/placement of your desk and office setup. 2. Completely unrelated but you have a great voice for ASMR like they have on meditation apps.
I run marathons and high quality running shoes are a must, they take good care of your feet and hold up to the hundreds of miles of training. Also a Rolex Explorer...I waited years to find one and once I got it its the only watch I wear unless I'm running, then I use my Garmin.
Two things come to mind that are worth the cost If you're into coffee, a proper flat burr grinder is absolutely worth the price and even if you aren't especially into music a good set of speakers (ideally floor standing) + amp + cables (and maybe a turntable) is often a 'buy it for life' type purchase
The things I don't regret buying that was actually expensive, are my Helite Turtle airbag vest and a complementary Dainese leather vest, the turtle saved my neck when I got rammed by and old lady who "forgot to hit the brakes" and the Dainese saved my skin when I slid 20m's. Great list Brock.
Most antiperspirants are also deodorants (like Jack Black Pit Boss). I find some antiperspirants to be irritating, but not this one. I haven't had luck with aluminum free deodorants.
@@scottd.3382sort of a fresh, slightly sweet ocean spray kind of scent. It’s pretty inoffensive. I can’t imagine someone not liking it, but it’s also not super unique or special.

I have some items which are expensive but I consider them “Money well spent” . After I started following the Modest Man channel I realised the importance of a good wrist watch that fits perfectly for my slender wrist . After saving up for a month I bought my first dress watch i.e orient bambino 5s 36mm in Rose( Same as Brock’s Bambino ) . Then instead of having several clothes that doesn’t fit well I got 2 MTM dress pants , 4 Levi’s 511 Jeans , 2 dress shirts and couple of casual shirts . One might think these things aren’t that expensive but in India these are considered expensive for average person. But I really enjoy having all these things , in simple words it makes me feel like I worth Billion dollars 😇.
Those Roland e-drums are a great choice. Me and my son went through a number of electronic kits over a few years, starting with the cheapest Yamahas and moving up to the Rolands (I think a slightly different model but around the same level), trying SO many in between, and the difference between cheap ones and expensive ones is so, so huge, there are no diminishing returns involved. I noticed the Korg SP-250 digital piano behind the drums too - I owned those forever and would always tell people that those are such a hidden gem as far as a cheap keyboard with really great action - obviously very subjective, but I tried so many keyboards before I bought mine (10+ years ago) and that keybed was by far my favourite. They "upgraded" that model to the 280 later, but put in a much worse keybed, perhaps regretting putting one in a budget piano that they also put in their high end models.
Hey Brock, great video! You should try doing an updated watch collection video, I think that’d be pretty cool. I’m just getting into watches, I just bought a Timex marlin silver mesh edition and am really curious how your collection has grown over the years
My first Macbook is the M1 14-inch with 500G SSD and 16 gig memory (well worth it) and my favorite earbuds are the Bose QC II (although I do have Airpods).
Always great Brock. 👍. We bought an all latex bed many years ago and have never regretted it. They aren't cheap but it will be the last bed you ever buy - they never sag - ever. In France they make a mattress cover that stops any staining and doesn't feel plastic - good for little kids... etc. Airpod Pro is my daily driver but when I really want noise cancellation and/or duration, I reach for the Bose wired QC 20. Great for long flights or when you are listening all day. Unfortunately, it looks like they don't make them anymore. Some are still available form retailers if you hurry. All the best!

Great to hear you're back on the jiu jitsu train! With a three-month-old at home, any time I get to train is a victory and half the time I feel like turning in the purple belt, but I'm still on the path.
I feel ya! I get to class 2-3x a week, max, right now (going tonight actually). And I have to fight pretty hard to not let the other blue belts sub me all night haha. Still love it though. Keep it up!
Socks, especially if you wear boots for long hours. Darn tough medium weight cushion gang here. Just joined the club but I bought 6 pairs in one week. It’s solid
Something I don’t regret buying (last week) was a new iPhone 16 Pro. Except before I left home to collect it, my daughter - who has just started her Master’s and is travelling by train 3 hours daily - broke her phone and couldn’t access her e-ticket. So I picked up my new 16 Pro, came home, and handed it to her when she got back after her 14 hour day of commuting, lectures and studying. Because that’s what dad’s do I guess!
Great video, Brock, Im definitely going to look into better orthotic inserts. High quality kitchen knives are always a worthwhile investment, in my opinion. We purchased an Ooni about 2 years ago, after a long time of wanting one but not justifying the money. Totally worth it, we don’t order take out food in the summer now and ‘pizza party’ in the garden is a firm favourite of the kids. Paid for itself in the amount of good food, plus family garden memories made 🍕
I like a good sturdy Russian mail order bride. I find that the Russian branded ones have a stronger back for lifting and more stamina throughout the day. They can be a bit recalcitrant at first but proper feeding and Maintenace seems to resolve this issue quickly. For frames, other than Warby Parker, I suggest Akila. I own three of their frames. They're stylish and well made, plus I always get complimented on them. I also like Caddis and Moscot.
I spent a bit more on a commuter backpack from Patagonia that ended up being a huge upgrade over the one I'd been using. I initially bought it because I needed a second bag on the way back from a trip to Portland (probably not the worst place to be shopping for a bag). It's been a gamechanger. Oh man, jealous you have a Roland! I definitely plan on buying one in the coming years! How long you been playing? From the videos it seems like you've been at it for a while

I really enjoyed this video. Recently I bought a used Bentley GT convertible speed. This USED car cost almost 100 grand. The build quality of this car is phenomenal and both my wife and I feel like a king and queen when we drive it. While it was expensive, I don’t regret the purchase at all.
For a controller and 8" screen spending 239€ might not be worth but getting the PlayStation Portal to play in bed after work or before sleep when I've been missing gaming for years even though not stylish have been quite worth it.
This is crazy. Must be our age group, I’m 53, assuming you’re around the same, but…..we own so much of the same stuff that it makes me want to investigate the things you mentioned that I don’t. Thanks for the great content. Subbed and saved.
I upgraded my daily driver water bottle to a titanium model by SilverAnt. It's got more handy dimensions, contains more water and weighs less than the old one. Gamechanger.
Actually a simple timex will tell time better than a lot of more expensive automatic watches since quartz movements are more accurate than a lot of automatic ones. Personally I prefer the look, feel, and sound of automatic watches though.
I recommend not buying the maxed out, overpriced storage from apple, external ssds are much more cheaper and faster and you can transfer or use it for multiple devices at the same time

What did you end up getting? I'm in the same boat.
My first pair of Super Feet insoles were purchased 20 years ago. And yes! I am still using them. They now look old and quite ugly. But, they work.
Merino t-shirts are expensive but wonderful. I have SmartWool, Ibex, Icebreaker - all nice.
good kitchen knives. i prefer the germans over the japanese.
Where's that navy shirt jacket from? It looks killer.
What shirt brand is that? Looks great on you!
thank you man, you are my favourite
Wow, thanks!
The Nomos watch Tiefseegrau means Deep Sea Gray.
Good to know, thanks!
GREAT Video, Thank You 😀
Thanks for watching!
what edrum kit was that? edit: nevermind, you mention it later :p
Haha, I didn’t know you play drums. That’s cool to know 💪
I will the Jack Black deodorant. I use JB daily face moisturizer with 25 SPF every day. Excellent product
I need a moisturizer with an spf of 50 or more, any recommendations?
I'd try a zinc based face sunscreen like Sun Bum Clear Zinc. Gonna be hard to find SPF50 in a moisturizer (most are 20-30).
@@BrockMcGoff Thanks!
I really enjoyed this video. Recently I bought a used Bentley GT convertible speed. This USED car cost almost 100 grand. The build quality of this car is phenomenal and both my wife and I feel like a king and queen when we drive it. While it was expensive, I don’t regret the purchase at all.
That sounds incredible!
For a controller and 8" screen spending 239€ might not be worth but getting the PlayStation Portal to play in bed after work or before sleep when I've been missing gaming for years even though not stylish have been quite worth it.
Chat GPT should use your voice for the AI voice thing. It might be soothing or it can turn into HAL
Good advice ," only one good dress shoes, not many" that's what I realize after owning 10 pairs
Hmm. My comment was deleted.
Those new balance terrible
White t shirt is nice. Where is it from?
That MacBook was an INVESTMENT 💯
God of advertising among bloggers
Thank you 🙏🏻
There’s something about brown dress shoes that reminds me of my granpa. Black shoes all the way!
haha I get women's swimming trunks from thrift stores for BJJ, they're fun
Oh I’m gonna try that! Also, do you happen to be a 10th Planet guy? 😏
@@BrockMcGoff no, I'm from a local Carlson Gracie school in Toronto and omg Brock replied 😮

Prescription Ray Ban New Wayfarers 👍
Hey Brock, not a fan of Warby Parker anymore?
I am, but just on the lookout for alternatives.
Ace mark shoes 👞 are amazing! 😎
Great video! Tiefseegrau is pronounced "Tiff-zeh-grah-uh". The literal translation would be deep-ocean-grey.
Thank you, good to know!
Highly recommend spending the time and money to research and buy a nice keyboard, mouse, and monitor if you spent a lot of time at a desk
This is crazy. Must be our age group, I’m 53, assuming you’re around the same, but…..we own so much of the same stuff that it makes me want to investigate the things you mentioned that I don’t. Thanks for the great content. Subbed and saved.
You think he's in his 50's? Haha, damn.
@@matt_valentine lol too far off? 40’s?
@@matt_valentinehmm…a quick search shows he’s 39 ish. I was way off. Guess I look ok at 53 😂

Gast, fantastic sunglasses
Swim shorts from Mr Marvis are insane value for money.
I upgraded my daily driver water bottle to a titanium model by SilverAnt. It's got more handy dimensions, contains more water and weighs less than the old one. Gamechanger.
Nice!
You don't NEED more internal storage, you can always buy fast SSD for much cheaper..& be much happier
You'll lose a lot of the speed of that machine.
Viberg boots. Before actually feeling and seeing the wear difference I thought it was all hype and fanboyism.
9:09 Brock: I'm a huge proponent of getting your clothes tailored so they fit the way you want them too
Also Brock: My watch straps don't fit
These are loaner watches with different strap sizes.
MOSCOT make great glasses/sunglasses. Their prescription lenses are okay but not zeiss quality
Brock the type of guy to put you in a Kimura if you insult his purchasing choices.
If your gi doesn't fit properly, I'm going for your back 🥋

A watches purpose is to tell time. My cheap timex tells time just as effectively as some fancy schmancy Rolex.
Actually a simple timex will tell time better than a lot of more expensive automatic watches since quartz movements are more accurate than a lot of automatic ones. Personally I prefer the look, feel, and sound of automatic watches though.
a flair 58
This video it's just a 15 minute commercial
Commercial for what?
I recommend not buying the maxed out, overpriced storage from apple, external ssds are much more cheaper and faster and you can transfer or use it for multiple devices at the same time
Are you sponsored by all these brands?
Are you asking if all of these brands paid to be included in this video?
You don’t need men branded moisturizer
Those watches are like £3000! I was hoping they’d be like £250 or something 😂
Yeah Nomos is high end! But you can get better prices on the preowned market.
You can get a really nice Seiko, Casio or Timex for a fraction of that, more around your 250. Probably miles better too
@@ifactmachine I have watches from Casio, Timex and Seiko in my collection. All great brands! But they are definitely not miles better than NOMOS.
NOMOS has way better options, why are you liking that one...? Too flat and big for you.
Ah, amazing that you have them as a sponsor, respect, but that like doesn't fit well on the wrist at all. Why did they make it? Are they cheaper than their other options???
