- Sage is Marvel Snap's newest card, and she's a perfect fit in a Sera Surfer deck!

Power Estimate: This deck had a strong day one win rate for me at 71%, and Sage had some big moments, but also had limitations where she felt bad to play early. Sera Surfer hasn't been the strongest archetype lately, so we'll need more data to see if this deck or Sage can really carve out a spot in the meta.

@@aloe8694Shaw is only good in surfer. He can be played elsewhere but it’s not really worth it.
Hey Regis, for the future, when you're playing vs Phoenix Force and you have Gladiator in hand, be sure to use it! It can make them brick their merge, which is often game winning.

19:19 one way to win that game that you didn’t consider was to play gladiator earlier. This would add another card into their destroyed pile, potentially ruining a phoenix target. It could also potentially just outright destroy the phoenix itself
This. I’ve gotten screwed by gladiator playing PF so many times recently since people still love playing that dumbass mill deck lol. Thankfully it doesn’t entirely ruin the game as shuri/nimrod/venom can still win on its own but man does that piss me off lol. However there’s also the times where the gladiator just pulls torch or MM when I go to destroy torch or mm so I don’t care but gladiator is slowly becoming one of my most hated cards as a Pheonix force enjoyer
@@MrGentlly yondu is the one that always does it for me. I’ll forget they even used it on turn one, go into a phoenix, and suddenly bring back a random carnage or something 😂

I've been using her in that Loki Negative deck that was popular for awhile and she's a natural fit!!
I made an Annihilus deck with Sage that worked pretty well. Punisher, Okoye, and Chavez all helped boost power and it could usually distribute different power to help boost Sage. Shuri with Hobgoblin or Sentry easily won one location while Sage cleaned up the other. Overall, I was constantly overpowering opponents either through raw power or through sending over the negative power. The times I lost were often because I lost a 50/50 on where to play a card, and the games I did lose were often still really close, only losing by a couple power.

it probably won't happen, but I hope that sage becomes meta so that cerebro decks come back to counter it

I don't know why I'm putting this here but I was watching this video when it happened. I just hit infinite playing Cerebro 5 and I went from 95 to 100 without a single loss. Completely insane I can't even believe how easily I was smashing 4 and 8 cube games. Currently rank 19697. I've never gotten to infinite this early in the season. Usually sneaking in on the last few days lol.

@metalhead8599 titania, silk, cerebro, ghost, nocturne, Polaris, spider man, captain marvel, enchantress, miles morales, omega red, and doctor doom. Unfortunately nocturne was pretty pivotal and won me quite a few of the games but I noticed I was playing so much ongoing that I wanted to use a deck with enchantress to steal games and boy did I. Between those two cards and spider man I was messing fools up.

Cerebro decks could counter this card from getting power off your cards yeah? Also could this be a decent card with beast and maybe other spam power cards like swan kazoo hit monkey?

Yeah, i have been playing it and put a 20 Power Sage, a 22 power Sage, and normally when you play it is at least 10 or 14 playing it on curve with white widow in 2
does she look for unique costs on both sides (either having a 1 or 2 cost and gain one buff) or each independently (getting a buff from both of you having a 1 cost in play )

Is legion played at all? I got the 2 cards I wanted, tribune and sage, should I roll for legion? I only have 2 keys left though
Legion is pure chaos and I have a lot of fun with this card. Depends on the locations of course.
He is very chaotic fun and can have his own win conditions based on the locations. Definitely go for him.
Token purchase if you really want him, but he is rarely played. So many good 5-costs so legion is mostly not worth running.
Don't go for Legion if you don't have cards that are pillars of archetypes like Annihilus.
Legion is just a must have, and it's not one of the best.

I definitely want to do a wong/sage/zola deck and see how that goes.
16:18 you had priority so Gladiator would draw something out of deck Destroy it (Nimrod was in hand so maybe Shuri or Venom) and made the Phoenix Force a 50/50 on whether it misses or hits

Actually you can put Kang in any deck so every deck is a Kang deck. It's just that there's always a better replacement
As sometime who's had kang since his release, the only few deck he's ever been useful in for me was an agents collector deck so that i could empty a slot when i had a full hand so kitty could dodge killmonger

The only deck that worked for me was a dracula and strong guy deck, you use kang just to empty your hand, but that was a long time ago, i don't thing this deck is viable these days

Hey Regis! I was the player at around 19:18 in the vid! You were 100% right; I had no 6 costs in deck (blink was just for numbers) but I was really really really worried about Surfer being played!

I feel she will work well with Beast and Hood. Beast tk double her activation, Hood for the -1, and Demon for the 6.

Sera left on 5 was the play that game, The Zemo didn’t even go off so his on reveal didn’t matter, Zeno with surfer Killmonger on 6 wouldn’t have been more overall power of not mistaken.

I've had one of my worst marvel snap experiences today;
I'm at about 1300 collection level (owning barley half of all pool 3 cards)
I really wanted Legion so I opened up 3 of my spotlight caches I saved up But I got everything BUT Legion
On top of that the mystery card was a SERIES 4 DUPLICATE
I have like what, 2 series 4 cards out of countless many
Plus I can't make any Sage decks right now cause I don't have Sera Mr.Negative, Ravonna, Surfer etc.
I'm so mad right now
Correction: the only series 4 card I own is Knull and I pulled him out of 23 other cards I could have gotten

Sage on wong viable?
I feel like maybe Odin would work in this deck? Get the extra Sage trigger while also adding another unique powered card for that trigger to get even bigger, plus with Sera you can even Forge -> Odin on T6 so you have flexibility in what power he'll be on the trigger.
Honestly, not sure who thought Leech needed to be a 4 cost but it's already mad annoying. It's not being used to stop meta decks. It's being used to make meta decks unstoppable...
At 4 cost, it should affect BOTH players hands a la Sandman.
why did sakaar not go off at 20:41?
It copies it in its exact state, and it had already gone off. This is why when Legion copies Storm's location before it goes off they all go off at the same time as well.
@@Azurann i understand that legion would have the storm effect because it is at the "end phase" of the turn but mirror dimension copies at the start of the turn and technically sakaar should have activated at the end of the turn
@@osmosiscool6248 Sakaar has a flag to tell it that it has gone off, and Mirror Dimension copies everything about the location. It's not completely obvious I agree, it should probably grey out like other locations when it goes off. Like, if you legioned Sakaar it would have the same effect. Might actually be that the location stores the turn it's revealed as the flag, and thus since there's not another turn 2, it can't go off.
Course, whether that's intended or not I'm not sure. I've seen it called abug, but it's been a bug for a very long time if it is. It's just a weird interaction with location that activate at a specific time instead of when they reveal. Like, Wakandan Embassy and Hub still go off.

Yes! A non-Negative deck. I really hate playing Negative decks. If you don’t pull him in time then you basically have to retreat. Very boring.

Thats why i put always psylocke and sera in negative decks. If i cant play negative turn 3/4 i play Sera lvl 4 with psylocke

Because you didn't stop nebula, ghost and nebula were both 5 in game 1. Ghost moving only helped you, didn't hurt sage at all

Let's be honest... Is Sage that much better than Wolfsbane? In my opinion, no, potentially a higher ceiling, but with a more difficult requirement, a +2/5 card for me.
Its not that difficult...
They're not at the same level, Sage is clearly better, like ryan said it's not difficult to go higher in terms of points.

Meh, I think it's weak, it's actually great that it works in this deck, but let's be honest, the rest of the OP drops like Gladiator and Zemo are the quintessence of such decks, and it's just an addition that, as I wrote, may as well be replaced by Wolfsbane.

@@Asalios. yes it's pretty weak I agree because of the conditions to take advantage of the card, but it's not as weak as a Wolfbane. Wolfbane doesn't exist without Negative, and you have better cards to play with Negative instead of Wolfsbane. It's pretty the same for Sage, but like I said you can make more points with it.
This looks like a meh silver surfer deck and sage looks like a better? version of Wolfsbane?
