One tactic I've started to try recently is using mute to help my teams roam game. Preventing the enemy team from droning out roamers has worked wonders and in my opinion it's a very under utilized strategy

run4walk I never said it hasn't been used at all. I say under utilized because in my experience playing against plays and diamonds I can probably count on one hand the number of times I have played against a good roaming mute. I started using this strategy when I saw Falko use the strategy properly in pro league finals last season. I feel that on certain maps it is a strategy that should be used almost every defense

Mularkey Any 3 speed op will instantly make you better. They have the highest RPM, DPS and most accurate guns as well. So you only hurting yourself not to use 3 speed ops.

That's a good one no one talks about a lot solo que is the best option to get better in my opinion because you rely mostly on your own using your sound and gun skills only to protect you I know it's scary because well nobody likes losing Elo but it make you more independent especially in those 1v5 etc. situations if you get deranked don't worry because once you get used to play by your self you will start getting better and end up passing the rank you were worried about losing great video by the way

Tristan van Heest if you can atleast take out 3 people in those situations consider that a win so when you go with your actually squad or better teammates that give callouts you can probably take the W that specific game

Thank you for being a positive member of the R6siege community. So much toxicity comes with this game (teamkills, vote to kick and so much more...), yet you are leading by example. I've met a few diamond players through friends and they are the biggest assholes, full of negativity if you're not on their level.

@@abhott96 if you're in low gold or below probably, but sound is a HUGE aspect of this game. Get a headset, hearing those footsteps from your right ear are definitely better than hear from a speaker from a TV. Pick up a cheap pair of turtle beaches, they're not much.

Lately, my friends and I have been letting the game choose our operators. Since doing so, I think we've improved a little bit just for the simple fact that it forces us to get out of our comfort zones and learn the other operators. On top of that, we are always having to think more quickly on our feet, having to form a strategy and figure out our rotations within a few seconds of starting the game.

I play Siege everyday, ranked and casual, and I am constantly watching videos on how to improve, yet I continue to rapidly get worse, and my rank has dropped significantly, whether I'm alone or with 4 other friends doesn't make a difference it seems, no matter how good or bad my friends are. My rank KD used to be 1.5, and now it has sunk down to 0.2. I need help. This game continues to piss me off and I continue to lose motivation
Edit: Currently, my KD has increased to 0.8 which is still pretty trash, but I've gotten better
If you started off not looking at videos and gaining that 1.5 KD, and then started to become worse after watching videos, I would advise you to stop watching videos and adapt to your own playstyle again
Jeppe Brown I watched R6S videos before I started playing. It was TheRussianBadger who got me into Rainbow Six Siege, but at first it was just funny montage videos from Badger and AnthonyPit, and then I started watching videos on how to improve. Those videos did help at first, and only recently, as in within the last week have I become trash
Nobody Important you lost your confidence thats why, it makes all the difference
Nobody Important In all honesty your over thinking the game. I've been through the same phase. You have to realize that this is not a realistic game. There are alot of little tricks and glitches you can do to win. Speed, speed, speed. Instead of slowly peeking around a corner and getting shot, sprint by and 99% of the time they will shoot and miss and you know where they're at. Simple as that really.
Notis HD I would agree with this but be careful with changing sensitivity too much. Sometimes when your aim feels off, you just want to go back and change it up a bit. Don't Do That! Find one that works and stick to it. No matter what. The higher the number, the better. If your going to change sensitivity, do it on a day you feel like your playing well with solid aim. That way you can adjust well.
Never EVER get cocky, I have seen it so many times that in a 3v5 the full team has been turned into minced meat, it only took two bullets to make it even.
Sent this to a buddy who got rainbow recently. 7 years later this video still has great amazing tips that are still relevant to this day. I’m consistently Diamond elo for the past 3 years cause of these tips. Just need a consistent 5 stack to hit champ lol.
Thanks this helped a lot especially the mindset of anticipating that there will always be a person I sometimes clear rooms just to say that I cleared them but I never expect an opponent and usually get surprised like you said

Thanks for the tips man. I’m totally going to work on these things. This game is fun, but frustrating because it is a totally different type of shooter than I’m use to. I’m use to being a very aggressive fps player and this is not the type of game to start out being aggressive. I’m still trying to find the right sensitivity settings. It is so difficult for me to lock in the settings that feel the best right now for some reason. Thanks again!

Man, the monitor point makes a lot of sense. My buddy and I have been playing for a long time on a 69" tv and we're always something like 1-4 or 0-6. But when we moved in for college together my tv got busted and I had to get a new one I brought the size down and that alone I think improved our playing so that we'd get 10-2 now. We kept remarking on how somehow in this new place we were playing better but it never crossed my mind that a big tv would be too much to take in, props to your video.
Another tip
Before playing have coffee it will help your reaction time after 10 - 15 mins
To shoot faster u can change aiming and shooting to l1 r1 or lb rb. Go settings > accessibility > button layout. And there you can change it. You can also switch it off at any time.

The one thing that got me good at console was, first off I had amazing aim and a really good mindset but the one thing was playing a lot and getting used to being in a tricky situation, I used to always get nervous in 1v3’s and above but the more I got into the more I stoped getting nervous which made me able to focus in those situations and clutch up more often. My advice, try putting yourself in nerve racking situations until ur used to it then you’ll be able to focus more often in more situations

So i watched this vid a few months ago and it really helped me. In fact, it is the reason i got my first ace. But lately i have been playing more Destiny and Overwatch which have different aim mechanics so my rainbow aim has dropped. Hopefully watching this video again will help to get better at Rainbow

I noticed that when I aim, there’s a clear difference between when I move the stick and what’s shown on screen. This only happens on siege for some reasons and not any other game

Varies on map and room. Attacking you should always anticipate bringing a gadget hunter and a hard breacher
I just got the game, and the tips you have given are really helping me not only improve but enjoy the game more as well.
On Cafe I usually take a defender (Jager) and peek from the coffee table so when attackers push terrace I can dome em, also the window is covered in that position.

I use both acog and holo, usually for me it depends on map, I'm a console player
Xbox pro league was 90% Holo sights, because it is in alot of cases more precise with a controller
AwMiNo_Shades ACOG always on assault rifles for me, holo for submachine defense, reflex submachine offense
Well back then heads were big and now the heads hitboxes are small so most consle players use acog for more percision accuracy but holo isn't that bad of a sight to use in fact if you dont like acog qnd like the triangle sight and it helps use it its all personal preference

Also my suggesting when 5 stacking is knowing your role, then getting out of those roles and switching it up a bit. You always want to be as versatile as possible, just look at LeBron James or Pengu from Penta Sports. Versatility holds the most value always.
