I never missed an episode of MMPR at all. After the final season of the show, ASJ had excellent careers as an EMT and a firefighter. I'm happy to see him returning to Hollywood, but personally, I hope he doesn't appear in any reality tv shows lol. "IT'S MORPHIN TIME!"
Thankfully, he is working in Independent movies and also keeping up with his martial arts practice. I also glad that he returned to the role of The Red Ranger in Power Rangers Beast Morphers and the new Power Rangers Battle for The Grid video game. I cannot wait to see him in the upcoming movie The Order which see him reunite with several of his MMPR/ Zeo cast mates.
surprised he came back, last video i saw of him was a where are you now type video showing him as a paramedic saving people's lives and it seemed like the only reason he agreed to be filmed was to spread awareness of the great work and all the lives paramedics save everyday, as he seemed embarassed being filmed as out of shape as he was at the time, given he was known for always being as in shape or more so then tommy and driving the producers nuts wanting to do all his own weapon work and stunts and things. great to see him back though.. and he shouldn't be surprised, everyone loved the red ranger, even people who loved the green ranger and got into heated debate with other people over the green ranger vs red ranger, came to love the red ranger too. he's the original red ranger. and as the series says, once a ranger always a ranger. :) and while most of the messages about not using martial arts for anything other then training and self-defense and those types of messages usually came from tommy, sometimes from zack or jason, most of the messages of hope and keeping hope alive and things useful in your daily life, they almost always came from jason. and it was always amazing to see someone like jason who ordinarily would be a bully or jock actually be defending people and saving people and leading the team and preaching hope and tolerance. Jason was like everyone's protective beloved big brother. Zack will always be my favorite ranger character, Tommy will always be the cool one with the amazing powers, but i've always had the most respect and admiration for Jason.
*minor spoiler for the new power rangers movie Since they gave Amy jo and JDF a cameo they should give Austin st John and Walter Jones a cameo in the sequel
