Thuy Trang was a talented actress, gymnast and Kung Fu artist which was why she was chosen to play Trini. She left the Power Rangers along with Austin St. John and Walter Jones over a salary dispute. The 3 of them did spend a lot of time together even after leaving the show. Austin consider Thuy like a sister. It was planned for the 3 of them to appear in "Cyberstrike" but it never went into production. The title sounds exciting. This show came out when I was 12 and I do admit that I had a small crush on Thuy. Then on September 3, 2001(one week before 9/11), Thuy Trang died from injuries she sustained in a car accident. She died before reaching the hospital. Her friend, actress Angela Rockwood was in the car with her. Though Angela survived, she was paralyzed from the neck down from the accident. Then on September 10, 2001(the day before 9/11) Thuy's funeral and memorial service was held. Austin St. John, Walter Jones, David Yost and Amy Jo Johnson all attended her funeral and memorial service to pay their respects to their co-star and good friend. They all miss her. Jason David Frank was unable to attend Thuy's funeral and service because he was attending the funeral of his brother, Eric Frank(who played Tommy's brother, David on Power Rangers Zeo), but he too misses Thuy. Thuy Trang's death became yesterday's news very quickly, however. Because the day RIGHT AFTER her funeral, 9/11 happened! That was a day when many people died unexpectedly, just like Thuy did. I heard that she even filmed an aerobics video that sadly never got released either. The movies Spy Hard (1996) and The Crow: City Of Angels (1996) were her only other acting credits. Also during the writing of the screenplay for Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, Trini was going to return along with Zach. For whatever reason the writers changed their minds, and this idea was dropped.

The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers was what i grew up with. Any of the first series were my childhood heroes. And yes, it's been years ago since she died, i still have trouble accepting the fact Thuy is gone. To many she's an inspiration (including me). She's both beautifull and got her heart at the right place. You don't see that often. So she truly was an angel on earth. I loved Thuy and i miss her. Rest in Peace, Thuy. Gone but not forgotten.

The whole peace conference thing is being retconned in the 30th anniversary special airing in April 2023 on Netflix. Trini is killed (they actually say KILLED) by Rita and her daughter takes over. Not sure how that works since Jason and Zack also went to the peace conference. There's a scene where her daughter looks at memorial to Trini and it has a real-life photo of Thuy.

Aaliyah died on August 25th, Thuy died 8 days later. Then 9/11 happened 8 days after that. Sad two weeks in 2001.

The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers was what i grew up with. Any of the first series were my childhood heroes. And yes, it's been years ago since she died, i still have trouble accepting the fact Thuy is gone. To many she's an inspiration (including me). She's both beautifull and got her heart at the right place. You don't see that often. So she truly was an angel on earth. I loved Thuy and i miss her. Rest in Peace, Thuy. Gone but not forgotten.

The whole peace conference thing is being retconned in the 30th anniversary special airing in April 2023 on Netflix. Trini is killed (they actually say KILLED) by Rita and her daughter takes over. Not sure how that works since Jason and Zack also went to the peace conference. There's a scene where her daughter looks at memorial to Trini and it has a real-life photo of Thuy.

As a child I didn’t see a lot of representation on TV and when I saw you I was so happy I saw someone who look like me and had similar family background. I also remembered seeing the beginning credits that had your name and thought omg she is Vietnamese too? She has Trang as last name and my old best friend is named Trang. Even tho you have passed you are still remembered and your legacy lives on. The ending was inspiring and encouraging. I needed that. Watching in 2022 ❤️

If Thuy was still alive today, things would be very, VERY different.
She'd be at nearly all of these Cons all over America, she'd probably want to come back to *Power Rangers* and be a mentor to the next generation of Rangers, and she'd probably be part of either the new *Star Wars* and/or *Star Trek*.
It would have been her and Walter doing all the cons together. That would be awesome. Then it would have jdf asj david walter n her doing the official MMPR Reunion QnA...all theres left is AMY JO.

I never did like the change to bring in Aisha, Rocky and Adam, but I l grew to love them. Then the movie came out. It was cool. But Trini will always be my yellow Ranger.
