    Arnold starred in Hercules in New York, Stay Hungry, Pumping Iron, and TV before Conan The Barbarian.
    However, he was earning, saving, and investing throughout all of these things happening. He started all of this as soon as he landed in America.
    He didn't want to wait on tables and wait by the phone...most of all, he wanted to be financially secure so he could focus entirely on his acting career.
    Many people show up in Hollywood without financial security taken into consideration.

      Thank you for sharing this and of course, there are always wonderful exceptions to the rule and as many ways to scale this mountain as well. Certainly, you can show ups in Hollywood without financial security but my advice is that's not the best strategy for sustaining and for your mental/emotional health.

    You to stop watching when the guy claims he is an actor for x years, but you have never seen him in any movie 💀… and I’ve watched a lot of movies!

      Hi Erni - Thank you for even taking the time to watch and share your thoughts with me. And you are so right regarding my film career but that' s one of the reasons I started this channel - to help anyone who is serious about this to understand there are other ways beside the traditional career in Hollywood to make a living as an actor - especially these days. I have made a living as an actor for 37 years doing theater - which is almost impossible. I have several shows that tour the world and I'm incredibly blessed to be represented by William Morris Endeavor because of the success of these shows. I have made a living at my dream for over three decades because I addressed the mistakes that I mention in this video that most actors DO make. All this said, you may not feel that an actor making a living doing theater is as legitimate as doing movies so of course, there's nothing I can say about that. And I hope you're able to have a successful career as an actor however you choose to go about it.

    I've decided to only go to Los Angeles for acting opportunities if I'm officially invited or booked for a project.

    Working in Hollywood is like competing against over a million people who are trying to climb up to the summit (having enough room for 40 people) on Mt. Everest. I have two Oscars for best original screenplay. And I can't even get a job there parking cars. If you are connected that is a big leg up. But you can be pushed aside and forgotten so fast it is not even funny. no matter who you are. As George Raft said I don't know if I have a future in this business.

      Thank you so much for sharing and I hope others read what you’ve posted as well because EVERYTHING you expressed is spot on which is why I stress to anyone truly serious about going after this you MUST take control of your dream and your career and not be a typical actor waiting for a break to come, but instead create your breaks because that’s why most actors fail - you must understand your president of your dream, and you must be a bad ass producer of your dream

    Lol. No one needs guys like this anymore. Anyone with a video camera, a computer and access to TH-cam can be a success. Time to stop prepping sheep for the studio system, buddy. Lol. 😆

    • @jim-jarrett
      @jim-jarrett  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +8

      You are 1000% correct that the way to really do. This is to take control of your dream become your own studio your own production company and create your own content. It doesn’t have to be on TH-cam. You don’t need to be an influencer but you can begin to get a louder voice in advance your talent, so that more people can see it, Who are in a position to do something to help you - thanks for your feedback

    Do I have a chance as a teen actress in Orlando?

    • @jimjarrett4812
      @jimjarrett4812 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You have a chance no matter where you are from because of self-tape submissions and the ability to build your brand and expose your talents through social idea and TH-cam content BUT you may need to move someday to a larger market to get more one on one training as well as opportunities that require you to be there in epson for the call-back and/or meeting with the deciios-makers
