Keep up with it!! Just like it takes time to lose weight and see results, it will take some time to really hydrate your hair and notice the difference❤️
Amazing! Your results were beautiful! And the mirror in the shower is such a great idea. I was really looking forward to the styling 😩😩 can’t wait for that. But THANK YOU for sharing 💖 I’m definitely gonna try the Felicia Leatherwood, it’s just so hard go let go of my old faithful EZ Detangler brush.
I appreciated this video for it was very detailed and gave excellent pointers for those of us who are curious on how to get highly hydrated hair. Thank you so much for your demonstration and I look forward to viewing your upcoming videos. I will recommend your channel to others.
I tried the method - I’m not sure if my hair is very damaged or what - but I just got a cut … Anyways I have higher porosity- and noticed I need a single gel - like curl smith in shower gel. However my hair appears dry. I’ll have to try less UFD - and this gel for next wash day. It seems like that’s possible where you get your shine :). You have Gorgeous hair! Is there a stronger hold botanical gel that also gives shine?
1:25 “take that thing off. Shake what your mama gave ya” 😂 oh my! Without context this quote would be scandalous 😆 Ahem now that’s out of the way I have a question about density. As your hair grows, have you found that your roots are thicker than your mid length and ends? I’ve got dense hair and I’ve noticed this for me. I’m trying to figure out if I have some mechanical/heat damage or that’s just the way my hair grows out.
Lol!! Yes without context that could get a little suspicious 😂. I have also found that to be the case. I think in my experience it’s because I never would cut my hair properly because I was always after length moreso than health. So I would hold on to those little scraggly ends even though I should’ve gotten them cut off. Now that my hair is cut into a shape it’s thick from the roots to ends. And I’m hoping that with regular cuts to maintain the shape it will continue to grow out thick from roots to ends.
Gorgeous results😍 I've been using the Felisha Leatherwood brush for years, it's the best! We have the same wash routine...except I air dry. Found I retain more moisture w/air drying. I need to find a really good hooded dryer to use during the winter. Any recommendations?
Thank you so much for this. I cannot afford the Seesomecurls course as I’m in South Africa and the currency exchange is too expensive so this really helped me get an idea of how to treat me and my daughter’s hair. I can’t wait for when you show us how to use the gels ❤️🌸
@Lugi X this warmed my heart!!! I'm so happy i was able to give you some insight. The see some curls site is wonderful HOWEVER you can still get soooooo much information from their Instagram account which is @iamblackcurls go check them out ❤️
Very nicely done video with great nuggets of info on technique, etc. Question: what kind/where can I purchase the shower mirror you have? I could really use one of those. Thx.
I have! I personally do not like it as much for my hair as much as innersense. However I love AG boost conditioner for my daughter who has more of a silky hair texture! It works perfectly fine for her.
Hi there! My daughter is seven and she has very fine silky barrel curls. I’m going to make a video very soon on how to do my children’s hair. They literally have the same routine as I do however I use lighter styling products since their hair doesn’t need anything heavy like mine. I think one of the easiest styles for children are some type of braid. Whether that’s a French braid or medium/large size box braids. It’s quick and easy (for the most part 😆) to install and it lasts for up to a week. I would recommend that!
Do you do your base gel and topper in the shower or outside? Just curious. I have been doing it in the shower but I have a hard time controlling the shower head and I end up being heavy on the water. Thinking of switching to applying the rest outside the shower.
@justtanoe It actually completely depends on what look I want to go for. If I want a super slick smooth very hydrated look I’ll stay in the shower so I can keep dipping my head under if it dries a little. I can be executed outside of the shower but then you have to dip your hand under the faucet and try to get it all the way to your head or use a spray bottle which could get messy
@@shalahboballa yes, I ended up asking others in the see some curls community too and now just cup my hands under the shower instead of dipping my head. Gives me more control.
Good! I prefer dipping my head but to each their own. Sometimes ill wet my hand a little cause i only need a pinch of water. We all adapt and make it work for ourselves eventually 😊 i hope the community is still great! I haven’t been on there since last spring!
Hi sandra! I just recorded a video and uploaded it about what products I currently use for my wash routine. They include the innersense hydrating shampoo, hydrating cream conditioner, Uncle Funky’s daughter curly magic gel, and innersense I create hold gel. Those are my main ones that i grab before all else ☺️. I use these specific products because they give me the best hydration. All of this I learned on the #seesomecurls black girl magic digital course. I hope this helps!
I have every single products you just mentioned and the i create hold is not enough hold for me. My hydration right now only last one or two days. Why!?why!? Why!?
@monica desita have you tried partnering with a curly hair stylist? They will be able to help you with hands on instruction!! You can either google a curly hair stylist in your city or go on the “cut it kinky alumni stylist list” section on blackcurlmagic.com and check for someone in a city near you! That would be the most helpful, i believe.
@@shalahboballa @This Girl Curls i have one curly hair stylist from their directory 30 minutes from where i am currently living. She has a waiting list but Thank u for your reply. I can’t wait until a appointment for me comes available. Cost is kinda up there but it’s worth it so i can learn the technique and be able to get the perfect wash and go like yours.
@monica desita yes i agree! The good thing is once you learn, you can apply the techniques at home and get amazing results on your own. And most stylists will offer a “cut only” service once you learn how to style your hair well. So instead of being $200 or more for an entire curly experience, your stylist may offer a $100 “cut only” option which will drastically reduce the cost for you. Sometimes they do not advertise the “cut only” option so you would just have to ask. But they usually only do this for clients who are really good at styling on their own. Either way please do not give up and let me know how your results turn out once you do get an appointment!!
I actually live in Pennsylvania so my stylist is from Philadelphia. However I’ve always wanted to go to the Hyderbar salon and I’ve been following them on social media for years. No matter who you go to at that shop you’ll get amazing results and they will help you with your hair care ☺️
Both wash and go's came out beautiful! Excited to see your other videos
Thank you so much!!

@Annette R. H. It’s extremely helpful! I got this off of Amazon. It’s a fog free mirror.

Did you ever try AG boost conditioner? If so how do it compare to innersense

Her brush is more stiff than the dupes, the one I have is way more bendy … I wonder if that’s good or bad 😅
My sister has the dupe! I prefer the stiffer brush but if you are still getting awesome results then stick with what you have 🥰
Great wash and go.
Thank you!!
