Sorry to hear that. I liked the detox but I do think everyone has to tweak it to fit what works for their hair, lifestyle, and desired look. Did you deep condition during the detox? I ask because there didn't seem to be any specific instruction on that. I may have missed it but I didn't see recommended deep conditioners on the list... only conditioners. Did you notice that?

@@tomekajones4448 just a thought, your hair could have already been damaged (chronically dehydrated which can cause brittleness or not in moisture-protein balance). When you take emollient heavy products out of your routine you might notice your hair feels more brittle/dry because of how you're used to it feeling coated. Washing & conditioning regularly won't make it brittle after 30 days.
Deep conditioners aren't **really** necessary if your hair is healthy but you def can benefit from them if your hair is damaged. A shampoo or conditioner with some Hydrolyzed protein could also be helpful. It's possible though that you might just have to grow the hair out if it's too far gone.
Do your roots feel as brittle in comparison with the length and ends of your hair after the detox?

Leave-in conditioners? I thought this was excluded during the 30 days.

Yes, you're correct that there are no recommended leave-in conditioners. I opted to use one with my styler that did not contain coconut oil, shea butter, or castor oil in the first five ingredients. Aeleise and Aishia mentioned in the first newsletter (and this was almost a year ago so things may have changed) that there are no hard-fast rules and to not overthink the process. So I had that in mind. :) Since then, I'm still focused on proper cleansing and conditioning, simplifying wash day, and abstaining from butters and oils in their raw form. It's worked very well for me. My hair is at its longest length ever in my life... and I'm up there in age. :) Didn't mean to confuse the message. Thank you so much for watching! ♥

Our understanding of the detox was the same. I did get rid of a few products. I just ordered the trepadora papaya slip. I'm still sticking to the detox concepts. I still have the coco creme and TGIN in my stash.

I have been sticking to the concept too. It's actually made my regimen more straightforward, and my hair and scalp are thriving. I haven't heard of Trepadora. I'll definitely look it up. Thanks for sharing and thank you for watching!

@@CandraEvans20 I think I saw BGC use it. I definitely saw other curly hair stylist and TH-camrs use it.

If you're interested, Trepadora is a UK based company. Bold Kulture Beauty is one of their US distributors. She also has a TH-cam channel. I'm definitely not trying to turn you into a product junky 😇.
