My biggest letdown with the MCU is how they’ve treated The Hulk. They really had something with The Incredible Hulk, and it’s so sad that they changed the actor and character so much. They also massacred my boy Abomination.
Yeah I miss the old Hulk. I thought Mark Ruffalo was good casting but I just don’t think the movies have utilized him that well. I still think he was at his best in Avengers 1.
I think at this point it's safe to say Cody has the best movie review channel of all time. The amount of content you pump out is unbelievable . You are the man!
100 percent if I'm unsure on a movie that I'm excited for. Especially horror. I always go to him. My taste is so similar to his. 95 percent of the time I agree with him. You can not trust Profesional critics like IGN and others like it. They are movie snobs. You tube critics are people just like us.. and if you can find an honest one with similar taste to yours you can't go wrong in trusting them. I've watched movies I never would have if it wasn't for cody because of overwhelmingly bad reviews from "pros" His tier list and other video types are also very entertaining. Cody is my go to ajd my Favorite YT critic. Love seeing people finding his channel and watching it grow
Agree with you completely about Winter Soldier. Not only is it a fantastic MCU film, it’s just a fantastic film on its own. It would have fit right in as a stand-alone conspiracy thriller in the 70s. They knew what they were doing when they cast Robert Redford in it.
Iron Man will always be at the top of these lists. When I was in high school - before even Raimi's Spider-Man movies - we used to cast superhero movies. Out of all our favorite heroes, we only got one right: RDJ as Iron Man. He's always been a phenomenal actor and he has the past that really makes his haunted Tony Stark believable while also being incredibly charismatic.

I love Guardian of the galaxy 2 even more then the original the darker tone and more emotional deaths really stand out among a mostly happy tone universe.
Hulk is my favorite Marvel character and he was utilized perfectly in the Incredible Hulk and the first Avengers. As a hulk fan, I would have preferred that he stayed on Sacaar in Ragnarock and not be involved in any other MCU projects. Been disgraceful to what he’s been turned into. And….it could have left the potential for World War Hulk. We also need a stand alone Hulk Vs Wolverine movie that takes place in 2009. He went to Canada at the end of Incredible Hulk
Id take the og spiderman trilogy, each fight has more flavor that i think i can only get from that vs winter soldier which you could see in any spy action film with a bit of spectacle

Goes to show how different we all are because I love the comedy in marvel movies. Especially when it's used to break tension in those heavy moments, but I appreciate your perspective.
Great ranking. Absolutely agree on OG Thor and Love and Thunder. Wakanda Forever blew me away. My fave since Infinity War/Endgame. Bassett was Oscar-caliber and I will go to my grave shouting praise for Letitia Wright's performance. She as an actress has earned the right to lead the franchise going forward just as Shuri earned the mantle of the Black Panther. And the emotional quality, you could tell it was very cathartic for Coogler and team. And YES! ABSOLUTELY AGREE about Winter Soldier. Such an incredible movie in every aspect. The Russo films dominate the top of my list. #1 Winter Soldier, #2 Infinity War/Endgame (which I will always count as one film), and #3 Civil War. Also, my top 5 comic films period, in no order, because I can't: Captain America: Winter Soldier Infinity War/Endgame The Batman The Dark Knight Logan
My ranking: 1) Avengers: Endgame (Top Tier) 2) Avengers: Infinity War 3) Captain America: Civil War (Top Tier) 4) Iron Man (Top Tier) 5) The Avengers (Top Tier) 6) Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (Great) 7) Spider-Man: No Way Home (Great) 8) Black Panther (Great) 9) Guardians of the Galaxy (Great) 10) Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Great) 11) Thor: Ragnarok (Great) 12) Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (Very Good) 13) Spider-Man: Homecoming (Very Good 14) Ant-Man (Very Good) 15) Captain America: The First Avenger (Very Good) 16) Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Very Good) 17) Black Widow (Good) 18) Doctor Strange (Good) 19) Thor (Good) 20) Iron Man 3 (Good) 21) Avengers: Age of Ultron (Good) 22) Spider-Man: Far From Home (Good) 23) The Incredible Hulk (Okay) 24) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (Okay) 25) Thor: Love and Thunder (Okay) 26) Eternals (Okay) 27) Iron Man 2 (Meh) 28) Captain Marvel (Meh) 29) Ant-Man and the Wasp (Meh) 30) Thor: The Dark World (Meh)
Oh my god. This list doesn't line up perfectly with my own. That's it, we're fucking done professionally. We can still hang out outside of work though.
These rankings make me feel so much better for holding Wakanda Forever in high esteem. That movie is a bit long, and I did find myself fading out, but I loved the movie overall. It might not be the best MCU film, but it's my favorite out of all of them now. The Captain America films were always in my top 3. The first Black Panther is only so-so to me. I wanted to love it as much as my peers did. As a Black person, I understand its cultural influence, but I never connected with it But GD, Wakanda Forever is just great. I'm amazed at how they were able to develop a script, film it, and release within the time frame they did. The music is just beautiful. I love the song that plays when Namor tells Shuri how he was born.
As a point of reference, 30-26 are never watch again for me, 25-21 take it or leave it, 20-14 I would happily watch again, 13-7 are great movies and 6-1 I love 30. Captain Marvel 28. The Incredible Hulk 28. Love and Thunder 27. Thor: The Dark World 26. Gotg Volume 2 25. Iron Man 2 24. Thor 23. Iron Man 3 22. Ant-Man and The Wasp 21. Homecoming 20. Ant-Man 19. Black Widow 18. Winter Soldier 2. The Avengers 1. Infinity War (this is the only all-time movie on this entire list for me)
Sure, an argument can be made about the lack of emotional impact the deaths in Infinity War had, but then, I guess that means an argument can be made about the absence of death in most of the other movies.
Your #1 was a tough choice. I had a hard time with that one in the theater. The camera kept shaking and I almost threw up, so I looked at the floor for the last 30 mis and only listened to the audio.
I feel like Iron Man 3 is getting more appreciation over the years now that an actually good Mandarin exists and thus everyone can ignore the crappy main villain and enjoy the rest.
The Winter Soldier is by far my favorite as well. Such great action, characters and no forced Marvel humor. Every time I watch it it doesn’t feel like a superhero movie

With the exception of no way home I dipped out of the mcu after endgame. Some of my favorites though are iron man, winter soldier, incredible hulk, and lastly homecoming & no way home.
I have not watched every Marvel movie but I've seen about half of the movies. My top five favorite from what I've seen are in no particular order Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Black Panther, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. My favorite MCU heroes are Spiderman, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Black Panther, Dr. Strange and Captain Marvel. This was another good ranking video and breakdown Cody.

The only problems with no way home, was sand mans motive, not using the sinister 6 and instead of strange casting the spell, it could have been spider man using a monkeys paw behind stranges back.
Cody, thank you for updating the list for all of us. I totally get your ENDGAME experience as i watched it in my theatre as a part of my 20th high school reunion and it was such a *MIND BLOWING EXPERIENCE DUDE!!!!!* I think it makes that much sweeter that the very nxt yr COVID happened and i look back @ Endgame and thank God it happened *PRE-COVID!!* LOL We will *NEVER* again have a movie experience like this in Marvel again although Spiderman NWH kinda came close. But after *WAKANDA FOREVER* am done with the MCU for good. Cant top ENDGAME and i still like IW too but its about that theatre experience for me whr everybody lost their minds and am lroud to be a part of that moment forever! Cheers mate!

Whiplash is easily one of my favorite MCU villains and Sam Rockwell was great as Justin Hammer. I'd certainly put IM2 higher on the list. I appreciate your perspective though!
OUCH DAMN...Thor...poor Thor. It was the soundtrack wasnt it? Don't lie, haha! I will say though, Loki's absence was VERY noticeable in this. I prefer that team and I think the Loki/Thor dynamic is what saves Dark World for me. At some point I will rank these. I need to rewatch them. Honestly, I do think Captain Marvel would be last for me though. I tend to forget we even got this movie. I think my Dark World would be in my top 15 for sure though. I've never understood the hate for it. I'm also that weirdo that's gonna put the original Captain America down low because I've fell asleep three times trying to get through it. Im not sure what it is because I loved the other two.

Agreeing with the list and then you dropped "Doctor Strange" on 23rd place!...lol. I do agree with a lot of your arguments although I still consider the movie to be underrated and one of the best origin stories in the MCU, despite its 3rd act flaws. I will definitely swap it with "Multiverse Of Madness" on 11th place, in which besides Elizabeth Olsen, the movie didn't work for me. As for "Age Of Ultron", it got more enjoyable on rewatch, it would be higher on the list for me as well. "Black Panther" at 19th was also a surprise, I think is top 3 stand-alone character "origin" stories. "Wakanda Forever" (with the exception of Namor and the Talokanil) unfortunately was a letdown for me. Appreciated "The Incredible Hulk" at 13th. Very underrated movie. Man, "Infinity War" at 10th? uff... it's a top 5 for me.. I understand your point that we knew the deaths weren't going to be permanent, but man, I think it's way superior to the sequel "Endgame", which I assume will be the one on your top 5. The last opinion you had on "Ragnarok" is the same reason that movie is probably not even on my top 20. Out-of-place-humor-waterboarding should be the name of that movie. "Iron Man" at 7th wasn't a shocker but I do have it on my top 5. SOLID MOVIE even after 14 years. Blew my mind that you had "Iron Man 3" on top of it. lol "Winter Soldier" at 1st.....YES!!!! hands down the best MCU, and arguably best on of the CBM movies to date. Thank you for the content Cody. I can imagine the work it took to make the video.

You're right about Far From Home. Tony Stark would NEVER give a teenage Peter Parker glasses that control an arsenal of military drones. That's so wreckless and out of character. It's like the writers were treating Tony like he's the type of guy who'd meet teenage Peter Parker for the first time and then immediately recruit him to fight a suspected terrorist cyborg super soldier and an all-powerful witch that can bend reality to her will... oh wait...
Loved the direct hit: Arguably the most bland Villain in this entire Universe *because he's just a Dark Elf* and he does Dark Elf sh** - because that's what Dark Elves do* The writers going for story arc by villain and 'strengths' - or lack of it - and wrapping it up as a whole. :D
@@MarkyDaBarberandJaxhammer the answer is *NO*. Done by different studio with the Marvel logo but dont think Kevin feige had his hand on that version of Blade. What the other guy tries to say is that MCU is rebooting it into their univers
I don't understand why Dr. Strange always is so low. I think this is because there isn't car persecutions, shoots, bombs, punches (well, some, but they are mystical punches). For me, is the most deep movie of all MCU

Dr Strange’s first movie was amazing . Love the first Thor aswell. There’s only 2 MCU movies that get a 10/10 that’s Infinity War & Spider-Man No Way Home. A film I thought was going to be blah was Black Widow I ended up loving it. Eternals didn’t even feel like a marvel film CGI was horrible felt like a crappy DC film
Am I the only one who thought iron man 2 was the best of the iron man films? My biggest letdown with the MCU is how they’ve treated The Hulk. They really had something with The Incredible Hulk, and it’s so sad that they changed the actor and character so much. They also massacred my boy Abomination.
BIGTIME!
Your goddamn right
Yeah I miss the old Hulk. I thought Mark Ruffalo was good casting but I just don’t think the movies have utilized him that well. I still think he was at his best in Avengers 1.
They emasculated The Hulk
thor as well after infinity war he became bad
Seen alot of manscaped sponsors but I'm actually invested in Cody's ad for some reason 😂 gonna try em out
I think at this point it's safe to say Cody has the best movie review channel of all time. The amount of content you pump out is unbelievable . You are the man!

Great list Cody, watching yours and uncle Sean’s being so different is a testament of how movies opinions are very subjective
to me shang chi had the best hand to hand combat from the marvel movies
Iron Man will always be at the top of these lists. When I was in high school - before even Raimi's Spider-Man movies - we used to cast superhero movies. Out of all our favorite heroes, we only got one right: RDJ as Iron Man. He's always been a phenomenal actor and he has the past that really makes his haunted Tony Stark believable while also being incredibly charismatic.
Thanks, Cody, for giving a little love to The Incredible Hulk. This is the Hulk version MCU should have continued with!
I said it before and I'll say it again, The Incredible Hulk deserves more love and should somehow return to that version of hulk
As long as Disney has it, never gonna happen

Amazing video cody, love your channel and content. 🤘
I love Guardian of the galaxy 2 even more then the original the darker tone and more emotional deaths really stand out among a mostly happy tone universe.
I respect that but to me no
I'm probably the only person who has ever put Ant Man 2 in my top ten, but...it's 100% a result of how nice Evangeline Lily looks with the long hair.
Putting volume 2 so low is straight up criminal

Goes to show how different we all are because I love the comedy in marvel movies. Especially when it's used to break tension in those heavy moments, but I appreciate your perspective.
I think you gotta do a Marvel ranking video of all the Marvel movies outside of the MCU lol
Also, my top 5 comic films period, in no order, because I can't:
Captain America: Winter Soldier

As a point of reference, 30-26 are never watch again for me, 25-21 take it or leave it, 20-14 I would happily watch again, 13-7 are great movies and 6-1 I love

Blew my mind that you had "Iron Man 3" on top of it. lol
"Winter Soldier" at 1st.....YES!!!! hands down the best MCU, and arguably best on of the CBM movies to date.
Thank you for the content Cody. I can imagine the work it took to make the video.
For me, The Best to the Worst of the MCU

Aw, c'mon! Justin Hammer at the bottom???? Didn't you see the dance???
You should rank the MCU final battles sometime?
Winter❄️ Soldier 🪖 Is still the best movie to show a non MCU fan imo, it's just a great action/spy film 🎬
It's one of the best, but it's not the first one that I'd show a non fan. Just because the reveal of Bucky is better having seen the First Avenger
@@theboost2524 A non MCU fan is not going to care about that, they don't care who Bucky is. I'm talking about a one time watch, someone who probably won't watch another MCU film, they are not going to care who Bucky is or about his backstory. They just want a good movie
I like both thor and dark world... i love the world building they did
Definitely very different from the top 10. Very interesting
Infinity War so low and Iron Man 3 so high is wild

2. Avengers: Infinity War
1. Avengers: Endgame
You're right about Far From Home. Tony Stark would NEVER give a teenage Peter Parker glasses that control an arsenal of military drones. That's so wreckless and out of character. It's like the writers were treating Tony like he's the type of guy who'd meet teenage Peter Parker for the first time and then immediately recruit him to fight a suspected terrorist cyborg super soldier and an all-powerful witch that can bend reality to her will... oh wait...
My top 3 are the same as yours only swap Endgame with Guardians and that's it.
So is Blade not part of the MCU?
The MCU Blade film with Mahershala Ali has been delayed as they search for a new director.
I’m talking about the original movie
@@MarkyDaBarberandJaxhammer the answer is *NO*.
Done by different studio with the Marvel logo but dont think Kevin feige had his hand on that version of Blade.
What the other guy tries to say is that MCU is rebooting it into their univers
I don't understand why Dr. Strange always is so low. I think this is because there isn't car persecutions, shoots, bombs, punches (well, some, but they are mystical punches). For me, is the most deep movie of all MCU
16:45 hulk and scarlet witch romance 😂😂😂
Aww fuck it...you know who I mean. Lol
@@CodyLeachYT thank you for this long video Cody nothing but love for you man

But stellar job my man! This took an hoir covering every friggin MCU movie. Props to you my man!
Watching this at 4:45am so am so excited to finally finish this!
@@CodyLeachYT The Black Widow/Hulk romance deserved better. Even the crybabies who hate it and cry about it should know better.
I don’t really want to watch any of these movies but I’ll watch this fo sho
Do yourself a favour and watch them
My son is 3 so we’re not quite there yet. Couple more years I’ll be up to speed

32: Eternals (So everyone just forget there’s a celestial in the Earth?)(Cody’s Spot: 29)
31: Captain Marvel (“Last time J trusted someone I lost an eye” He trusted a cat)(Cody’s Spot: 28)
30: The Incredible Hulk (Not a smash hit. Nor is it incredible. But not an Abomination either)(Cody’s Spot: 13)
29: Quantumania (Please, for the love of god, MODOK! Put your mask back on!)
28: Thor (Odin was the villain? SHIELD was the villain? Laufey? Loki?)(Cody’s Spot: 15)
27: Love and Thunder (This film is a joke. A cruel, unfunny, but enjoyable joke)(Cody’s Spot: 30)

25: The Dark World (The comedy in this movie is on point so I like it)(Cody’s Spot: 27)
24: Black Widow (Yelena wrapped it up well “This was fun”. Key word is WAS bc it WAS fun until the 3rd act)(Cody’s Spot: 24)

2: Infinity War (This film literally doesn’t take a break for even a second)(Cody’s Spot: 10)
1: Civil War (Peak cinema! Peak fiction! Peak storytelling! Peak!)(Cody’s Spot: 5)
The CGI of eternals is considered the best of this phase 4, the movie in general is bad
@@allanasifuina896 agreed I try to block Eternals out of my mind
Am I the only one who thought iron man 2 was the best of the iron man films? Also I don’t think any of these films got anything on the early 2000s marvel films, the raimi Spider-Man films, hulk with Eric bana, blade, and X-men were way better in my opinion than over half these films.

27. Spider-Man: homecoming
28. The eternals
29. Captain marvel
30. Thor: the dark world
Huh interesting list
@@rhysburns5420 I just think toms Spider-Man films are way worse than the raimi Spider-Man films and Webb films, they’re way too goofy and don’t take anything seriously besides no way home. Wakanda forever is a great movie but I just can’t watch it without thinking what could have been. It’s not the same.
You not the only 1 Taylor. I mean outside of ENDGAME, this was the closest Tony almost died! VIllain from his past; War Machine intro; i just love that movie and it always baffled why ppl hate it so much.
Also loved CAPTAIN AMERICA: 1ST AVENGER.
HELL I LOVED CAPS TRILOGY which is the best of any MCU trilogy
Also agree with your assessment of Blade, XMen, Toby Mcguire SpiderMan Incredible Hulk were awesome pre MCU movies
Shang Chi was the best Action movie of the mcy
