From 2007: Security discovers secret apartment at shopping mall in Rhode Island

NBC 10's Mario Hilario reported in 2007 about the discovery of an apartment that a group of artists had secretly built inside the Providence Place mall in Rhode Island.
They occupied it for four years, until mall security discovered it.
The adventure will be told in the documentary "Secret Mall Apartment" that will premiere at South by Southwest in March 2024.

Saw the documentary a couple of days ago. A must see. Funny, moving, outrageous. The scenes of them moving large pieces of furniture and blocks of concrete into the “apartment” are hilarious. Thought-provoking.
