I was at Home Depot to purchase a chandelier for my dining room, a smaller one in same pattern for my kitchen and a pendant light. Spent lots of time looking through inventory and then decided on two chandeliers on the top shelf. An associate got them down for me. I was told at the register that the two chandeliers were no longer supposed to be in inventory and should have been sent “back”. I was told, it is Home Depot policy to sell the items, if selected by a customer, for one penny each since it was their error. Two chandeliers for a total of 2 pennies. We now look for dusty items on the top shelf 😁
Wow, I'm going to remember that and congratulations on getting them for cents. That's amazing. I would have happy danced all the way out of the parking lot.
Keep in mind. It's a hardware store that sell a shit load to major construction and home contractators So a packet of 30 batteries might be for a construction site that goes through batteries in a day of running something like a portable shop light all day.
That tour barely scratched the surface. There are many isles devoted to paint, including several top brands, color matching to samples. And then at one end is the lumber department. Outside is a nursery section where you buy plants from petunias to trees, plus every possible thing you can imagine for gardening. And the delicate house plants are in a special enclosed area. There is an amazing hardware section and a section where they sell power and some hand tools. Many building contractors arrive every morning at 8 to pick up the lumber for everything from a small remodel to material for a full size building. Oh, and the electrical section. There is a whole aisle devoted to nuts, bolts, screws and fasteners of all types. Next to that are locks, and all kinds of door hardware from utilitarian to luxury. Gosh, want to set up automatic watering and drip irrigation? There is a whole aisle devoted to that, right next to another isle with every possible pipe and connector made. The lamps and lighting fixture covers four aisles. Want a fence? There's a section for that. Want to do a brick or concrete project? There's an aisle for that, and another for the tools and large hardware for that. Want to remodel your kitchen. In the home appliance area, there's a desk where you can select the style you want and arrange to have it installed. And there is a section for seasonal stuff. Lighted artificial trees, decorations, displays for your lawn, lights, etc, at Christmas. Right now it's filled with halloween decorations--big now in USA. And they have the cleanest bathrooms of any business. I'm leaving a lot out. And believe it or not, just across the street from our Home Depot is Lowes, which is similar, but tuned more for women. Home Depot is a guy place. Oh yeah, there are at least five more Home Depots in our region, withing a 15 mile circle. So, when are you coming over?
I work maintenance for a local city. The greatest day of my life was when I went to Home Depot, while on the clock, getting paid by taxpayers dollars, to go shopping at Home Depot. Let me emphasize, I GOT PAID TO GO SHOPPING AT HOME DEPOT! And it was taxpayers money😂 I called my mom and told her dad’s laughing his ass off in heaven because this is the promised land!
Yes! That's what I do! Don't enjoy shopping at all! Internet orders or get what you'll need for 3 months or so. I don't know why people have become so rude, but can't stand to be amongst most of them!
Adam as an FYI the store you are looking at is about the average size of almost all Home Depots. Each store is approximately 110,000 sq ft (about 10,000 sq meters). Each Store contains about 35,000 different products for your home or garden. The stores are around 650 feet (200 meters) in length by about 165 feet (50 meters ) in depth.
Or you can just point out that at 3:13 the rows behind them is labeled 53 and 54... and these are not little grocery store rows.. these are extra wide stacked and at least 15 feet up.
They have rolling stairs. If you look back (3:47) you can see the top of a bright orange one in the background. It looks like a steel cage next to the white post. There is a sign on them, "Employees only" for safety reasons. Usually, the very top shelves are for storage of excess items. There are usually the same items at the lower levels for easier access by the public.
I was the guy stocking those shelves once upon a time. Though that was at Lowe's, which is a direct competitor for Home Depot and setup pretty similarly. The stocking wasn't that bad; the big headache was when corporate wanted to rearrange everything so you had to move all the inventory and reset the shelving in multiple aisles. You may want to check out another video for one of these American home/hardware stores. They barely scratched the surface in this one. There's whole sections for lumber, paint, home decor, seasonal items, lawn care, and even a massive garden area outside. But if you're looking for other American "big box" places like this, as others have mentioned Costco or Sam's (the Walmart equivalent to Costco) would definitely be strong contenders.
The 24-pack was paper towels, used to clean up messes around the kitchen. Toilet paper come in 60+ package rolls. The orange fridge is a Samsung Bespoke. It also has the smart screen. My wife wanted one, because it is not just orange. You can change the panels and have just about any color you want. We ordered one. We waited for over a year. After having paid in full for the new fridge and it never delivering, we went back to Lowes (another store exactly like Home Depot) and they had cancelled our order. Without telling us or refunding the money they just cancelled it. I was not happy. We did get our money back but the same fridge had gone up by a $1000.
They aren't 24 or 64 packs, they are 12 packs and 32 packs of rolls with paper equivalent to 24 and 64. It is amusing that even americans are still tricked by the marketing.
Coffee rub. You use it on BBQ. Basically it is just a rub that also has some large coffee grounds in it. The larger profile of the coffee grounds on the meat picks up far more smoke than pepper corns or salt or whatever. The flow of the smoke over the meat is slowed down by the rub, the meat itself sweats, which mixes with the rub creating bark, and then the meat draws the juice back into itself. Rinse/repeat over and over and over again during a 6-12 hour smoke, and that is what flavors the meat and bark. Also, the coffee will give you a darker bark color. Smoking all that time removes any coffee flavor. Just tastes smokey.
You kill me, Adam! I work at Home Depot. We can get you a smart range--just sold one to a customer this week. He knew exactly the one he wanted when he came in--I didn't know they made smart ranges. We were joking about him being too lazy to get off the couch to adjust the temp in the oven. "Why get up when I can just do it with my phone?" With the Labor Day sale we were running, it didn't even cost any more than a non-smart range.
If it was the one with the controls in front, then he was smart to get the smart stove. The controls unlock if the power goes out, and for some stupid reason, they didn't consider that the controls must be manually relocked or locked with your smartphone. I get notice when my power goes out, and when it comes back on, I can then lock the controls from wherever I am. Although I don't have cats, the horror stories of cats stepping on the controls turning on the stove top. That's how fires start. And how children and animals get hurt. I will choose more wisely next time. But no one, not even the manufacturer, warns you of this danger.
The last three appliances I bought, a washer, dryer, and microwave are all smart appliances that I can control from my phone. Not something I care about so I didn’t even bother to set them up.
the fridge with the screen you knock twice and it becomes a window and the inside illuminates to see what's in it without opening which is also a half door you can open, I'm shopping for one and like it
Are those the ones that are connected to Alexa and can check what you have, when it's low, and then reorder items you need every week or whenever you want it?
I worked there for 6yrs I started as a stocker, 9pm-6am, 15-22 people stocking. 233 people total employees and are store did $500,000 plus every yr each department in clearwater FL. I got so many funny stories working there.
Lots of employees? Never when you need one. Same at Lowe's (same kind of store). But they do have a lot of stuff, including storage buildings that are big enough to be made into tiny houses. These videos don't tend to show my favorite part, the garden center. The Beesleys also went to Costco--that one's worth a look. Walmart has Sam's Club, its answer to Costco.
I work at Home Depot. Usually there is only one person per department maby two if lucky at my store. So most of my time is spent on stocking those shelves.
it depends on the home depot and how they schedule, my department usually has 3 ppl always, while the others have 1-2 ppl, i am always around when a customer needs help
It's basically a giant hardware store. Anything you need to fix your house, or to build a house, they have it. They typically use forklifts to help keep the shelves stocked.
Hey, if you think people here don't smoke or grill in the rain, think again, lol. Ok one...TMI and two, that was kitchen towels and it was not 24 in the bag but 12 and the number of sheets per roll is double so it's like 24 single paper towel rolls. Lowe's is like Home Depot and Lost in the Pond does a small video about that one. You could check out a Costco or Sam's Club video.
When Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank opened the first few Home Depots, they couldn't afford to stock all of the top shelves. So they asked one of their vendors to supply them with empty boxes to fill all of the overhead shelves. Slowly, they were able to start ordering more product, to replace the empty boxes. They went on to become the largest home improvement business in our country.
Home Depot is just a great store to walk around in. It has a particular smell about it. My favorite time to go is really early in the spring when the weather is just starting to warm up and they have the garden center open with a bunch of flowers. That smell of fresh topsoil and mulch really helps make it feel like winter is finally officially over with and the best weather is ahead. Or when you walk around the lumber section and smell that sawdust in the air. Mmmm mmmm. Great place to walk around with -- unless you need help finding something. Good luck finding someone that can actually help because the funny thing about Home Depot is that when you DON'T need help then an employee will find you and ask if you need help. If you do need help then there's not an employee within a hundred yards. I think the employees target shoppers when it comes to assistance. They go after those that look like they are 100% sure of what they want/where it is and that way they can tell their boss they tried to do their job while they can then relax and not have to do anything for a bit.
I bought new appliances a few years ago. The washer and dryer sent me texts when they were done and controlled by my phone. The washer ordered detergent automatically from Amazon when it determined i needed it. Same with the dishwasher. The microwave under light turned on automatically when a burner on the stove was activated and they all talked to one another. It was craziness
Details for the modern big box hardware store, from my wife(a ten year vet of the Depot's main competitor, Lowe's) Staffing, on average-125 to 150(including cashiers). They covered about a quarter of the overall floor space and 2 departments. The Garden Center, is giant attached "greenhouse" style section, just for live plants\landscaping related items(and generally the size of what they showed in the video). There are all kinds of powered cargo movers, everything from standard forklift, to stand up, small footprint three wheeled lifts, for accessing the mid and higher level shelves. Post "the virus of unidentified origin" year, staffing is about HALF what it should be, creating a ridiculously high stress, high turnover environment in all of the big box stores like this. Sadly, the stereotype of "go away Mr. employee, I know more than you" is much closer to reality now.
You can smoke and grill any time of year. I live in Canada and I both when it is snowing lol Also, I have a French door fridge with the freezer drawer. Very useful. We built our house and basically spared no expense as we bought land on the water and it was our dream land. We also built it so we can stay if someone has an illness or injury and needs accessible living and for when we are eventually elderly and need ease in living. We have Home Depot in Canada btw.
There is also Lowe’s Home improvement store & Menards Home Improvement Store…they have been very useful for my families lives- through out our years here in America. 🇺🇸👍🏻
Yes, Adam, we have. Samsung has a series of such refrigerators and they can even reorder food from the store for delivery so you don’t run out of your favorite foods.
Some years back I saw a fridge of the future" at Disneyland and it had a display on the front to keep an inventory of what is in the fridge. I tell it when you take stuff out and when you press a button it tells you what you need to buy. Seems silly to me but for some it might be helpful I guess. The top selves that you cannot reach is like a warehouse space not to use for shopping. It saves space for stock to have it right in the store.
Got to check out Bass pro shops Or Cabelas they keep live fish and ducks in store as well as so so many taxidermy animals from all over the globe its a must visit
Home Depot is gigantic true, but it is not only a retail store. Professional building contractors buy their materials from there as well. That is why Home Depot has anything and everything for a home build. That way it is a one stop shop for the contractor which cuts down on delivery cost. When I worked for an apartment management company, our maintenance staff would buy the items needed to flip an apartment for the next tenant. Everything from paint to a new stove. We also bought safety equipment like rain gear for our crew to wear while picking up the grounds on rainy days. It is really an amazing store.
I know it seems that a lot of American stuff is over the top, but I think we've got some different issues. You need a lot of batteries because the weather can take out the power and you need them for your lights. If you live where there's bad winter weather (like where I live in Wisconsin), you buy a lot of toilet tissue and paper towels so that you have them all winter. No one wants to go out in 2 feet of snow to get toilet paper. Also, people often do a big shop once a month or once a quarter. People don't come in every week to get 24 rolls of toilet paper. And, even though I live by myself and have one of those big double door fridges, I still have another fridge in the garage. And she probably didn't notice, but the fridges beep when the temp goes down - like if you leave the door open. 'Murica.
I brought a friend from the UK to Home Depot and he literally started crying at how much cheaper it was than he paid to build his house. He was overwhelmed at the sheer size of the place.
The box stores are massive, and what's crazy is we have Lowe's, too (which is better imo). The town I live in is not that big, and we 2 Home Depot's and 2 Lowe's..not to mention the Ace Hardwares and Tractor Supply chains in addition. If you can't find something you need, then you probably don't need it...
I helped my dad build a shed from a Home Depot shed kit once. There's other DIY tools and replacements for some appliances or wares in and around the house. I had been there to buy a few things myself. On a different note: seeing the appliances always makes me start dreaming about what I'd like in my dream home. I'm a severe daydreamer when it comes to dream home. Like what colors I'd do for the walls or what tiles would go where or what appliances would look good where. I'm a shameless being.
Lowes is the other big home and garden shop... Best Buy is the big electronics store and maybe give Buckees a look- huge gas/petrol station with giant market.
actually we don't allow dogs, on the door it says it, but we have to allow service dogs and we can't ask if they are service dogs or not, so we just have to ignore it, and the reason that we have a sign that says no dogs is mainly for ur pets safety cause we have aisles of stuff that can be harmful to the dog, like the pesticide aisle, their could be a ripped bag of pesticide pellets and some of the pellets fell onto the floor and a dog licks it up or someone since there is always someone, opens a bag of screws to see if it is the one they want, yes there are ppl that do it, and they opened the bag too forcefully and the screws fall on the floor and they missed one picking them up and the dog steps on it
Those large containers of laundry soap do not last a year lol. People buy those so they don't have to buy as often and you get a better price. They didn't show the best parts of Home Depot. My city has Home Depot, Lowes, and Menards. They are all basically the same. You can grill in the rain. I've done it lots of times. Not a storm of course but a little rain doesn't hurt anything. My grill is near my back door so it's easy. Lots of people pull their grill just slightly in the garage and leave the big door open when it's raining and grill away. My son just had a block party in his neighborhood and a few people brought their grills out front and everyone made food and the entire neighborhood cooked out and ate together. It's a fun time. Lots of neighborhoods do this. We get out and visit with our neighbors.
Adam there is also a garden section attached to building..plants,trees, dirt, mulch and so much more. They didnt even go to it..its massive also.. Home Depot or Lowes i can go spend lots of time and money in lol..i get same sensation as i do going to gun store lol. Our fridges are amazing..as can see many choices.. Love your channel..
Dude!! GO DAWGS!! I just took a break from some college football and saw your new video and that wonderful University of Georgia Bulldawgs shirt! Well played you glorious human!
The workers access the upper shelves with an automatic lift (similar to the ones you find the road engineers , electrical workers, and firefighters use).Customers are not authorized to use them. You need to contact a Home Depot staff member, but most of the items are accessible at floor level. The upper shelves carry extra stock.
Most of the shelfs above the reach of a normal person are just for storage of inventory. If you needs something from those shelves you have to get an employee to get a ladder or reach truck to get it down for you. If they have to use a reach truck they block off the isle for safety.
depends on the item, if its a light box, we use the orange ladder, if its a heavy box we get the electric ladder u see at 4:27, we only get the reach truck if its on a pallet
I work at home depot and depending on where the item is on the overhead and how much it weighs will determine the way we get it down, if its a light box on the first or 2nd level we will use the orange ladder u saw at the 3:49, but if its a heavy item we will use the electric ladder, the machine u see at 4:27, if its on a pallet on the top shelf we will get the reach truck, basically a smaller version of a forklift meant to be used inside
Yes, my oven is a smart oven. It’s useful for preheating when I’m on my way home or don’t want to get out of bed to start the oven. Also gives me alerts if I left it on by accident and tells me what’s left on the timer when I’m away of it. It also had meat temp so you can cook to a specific temperature. My fridge is also a smart fridge. I program it to start boiling water so it’s ready when I get up and can measure how much water comes out of the spout. It is the Cafe Line that you saw in the video. When you’re building a new house, and they offer you kitchen options, you just go all in sometimes since you’re already spending hundreds of thousands, what’s a few thousand more,
I have a microwave that does a lot more than just that, it can bake a cake, convection oven, roast, broil, air fry, along with the normal buttons popcorn, auto cook, auto reheat, defrost, kitchen timer, all for 200 USD
What I love about Home Depot, is they will cut pieces of wood for you. I tried this at Menards and Lowes and they were like no, we can't. The Home Depot in Maple Grove, MN was fantastic.
i work at home depot, if u bring a piece of wood/plywood in we can cut it for u, we also cut wire shelving, wire, rope, chain, blinds anything u see we cut instore u can prob bring in and we will cut it for u, i know we will cut the blinds and the wood if u bring it in and need them cut
Vauxhall New Jersey is home to the single largest Home Depot in the country. It is excessively massive. It used to have a pretty good gardening department but it was gutted a decade ago.
I always seen Home Depot as a Walmart for household stuff/tools. Anything that needs fixing around the house, the stuff that’s needed can always be found at Home Depot. Used to love to go to home depot with my dad as a kid. Love the videos Adam.
Judging from the size of the package and the proximity to the detergents, those are paper towels and not toilet paper. So, naw, I don't do a lot of wiping with them. LOL Mom actually brought me one of those gigantic battery packs from CostCo and there was just zero chance of using them that fast. Everything takes AAA now, so 45 AA's was just not going to go down well. Half of them corroded or exploded and I just threw the whole thing away. My fridge came with my apartment, it's a normal single door with the freezer on top. Because the freezer is what generates the cold and the fridge has air vents that I can open and close to make it warmer or colder. Although I never really bother changing it.
We have a smart oven/stove top. Honestly, the only thing I've used the smart options for was to mess with the kids. I would set the timer on it when we were not even home. The timer would go off for no apparent reason (to the kids) and would freak them out. They would turn the timer off, I would set it again! Took them awhile to figure it out! It was a great laugh though!
The range I have is a glass top , it has Wi-Fi , that is the only thing that I don’t like about it, whenever we get a thunderstorm, the Wi-Fi on the control panel turns off and locks the whole control panel, so I can’t use the oven, until we lose power for at least two hours and the Wi-Fi will come back on ,when we get power off, I’m lucky that the Wi-Fi didn’t lose power when I had food in the oven.
Basically, Home Depot has anything you need to build a home. They have appliances but not electronics. They also have a large garden section as well (including outdoor furniture.) Lowe's is also very similar - a competitor of Home Depot.
Ah, the Beasley's! A great pair! Hey Adam, I think I saw your name on a L3WG video chat! You should collab!😊 Oh, and FYI, some years back I saw a fridge with an honest-to-goddess small television screen in the door. Not a smart screen, a TV. It was showing the same movie that were on all the TVs in the Best Buy (electronics store). I haven't seen one in a while, so either they didn't sell well, or someone realized they were contributing to the obesity issue in the US. Given the lack of conscience in most big corporations, I'm guessing it was the former. Most people with houses big enough for standard fridge could fit a small TV in their kitchen anyway. 😮😊
Americans barbecue in winter too. We have a covered patio and barbecue during the winter season quite a bit. We bought our bbq at Home Depot, our carpet, sink, new toilet, faucets...love Home Depot...We even bought most of our outdoor plants at Home Depot...
Home depot is a large hardware store. Even though they mostly stayed in the appliance section. Yep just looked at a video of B&Q. Yep just like our Home Depots.
Honestly, stocking was my absolute FAVORITE PART of working at Home Depot! Especially because I got to use a First Phone, which told me how much of everything we had.
When renovating my all original 1965 farmhouse, I practically lived at Home Depot and Lowes. When I’d have to go, I’d always say “I’m making a trip to hell”, because there’s soooo many options that you can look for HOURS! Flooring, tile, backsplash, sinks, faucets, doors, cabinet pulls… even picking the right toilet!!! TOO many options!!!
This is just one of three home improvements stores we have (at least in the southeast). The major competitor to Home Depot is Lowes which is just as large and in most cases the two stores are usually within 5 miles of each other. The other competitor, on a much smaller level (about a quarter the size of both home depot and lowes) is Ace Hardware.
One-stop shopping! List of big(in size) stores: 1, Home Depot and Lowes (you can build an entire house bottom to top with either one of these); Bass Pro Shop and Cabela's Hunting (these are for great outdoor adventures- camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, and more), Dick's Sporting Goods, Big 5 Sporting (these also provide outdoor adventure but mainly concentrate more on other sports like golf, football, soccer, baseball, etc); HEB(Texas), Super Targets and Target, Walmart Supercenters, Costco, Sam'sClub and Menards (these provide grocery, clothing, pharmacy, office supply, electronics and more) ; Best Buy (electronics, appliances, and more. I could go on, but....
Rubs are usual a dry herb rubbed the meat and left a few hours to overnight. Like a nice dry rub for pork ribs is onion power, salt, pepper, and chili powder and leave overnight. Then when you bake the next day, add your BBQ sauce. I've bought 4x8 paper towel packs before. But live in the country side so better to stock up than continually making trips to town.
We have a Home Depot, Menards and Lowes are all near us and of fairly similar size . Then there is Best Buy that sells everything from computer/and parts to appliances like TV's and home theaters. Our microwave bit the dust a few days ago. I found one online that I wanted from Best Buy and they delivered it the next day. No shipping cost. Love it.
This is a lifesaver during Halloween. Since we get about a thousand kids that night, we build scary/fun decorations, like a pirate ship coming out of the front of the house. That's a lot of lumber, nails, fabric (like drop cloths for paint), etc. They do now see fully-formed Halloween decorations, like 15ft skeletons, but we prefer to make our stuff from scratch, even if it doesn't look as "professional" as the pre-made stuff does.
Coffee rub on your steak is delicious. You don’t taste the coffee flavor but you get a beautiful sear and the juices really flow when you cut through that first piece. I love a coffee rub so you should really give it a try. It doesn’t have to be a fancy package store-bought seasoning. I will take fresh ground coffee, mix in a little pepper and salt and then rub that all over the outside of the meat to seal it. So good!
The more bells and whistles you get on your appliances the more the extended warranty costs and you'll want the extended warranty because the more bells and whistles the more there is to break.
Americans have developed a love of risking their lives doing tons of home repairs and construction themselves. And Home Depot is their cathedral. You ask someone who works there to bring a set of rolling stairs to get stuff up top. These shelves will not fall over, they are attached to floor and ceiling.
i work at home depot and we just call them orange ladders, or if its a heavy item, i will get the electric ladder, and the aisles are only attached to the ground and not the ceiling
I can infact control my fridge, dishwasher, and ovens from my phone. it's super handy if you need to preheat the oven so it's ready when you get home from the grocery store. Or to start the dishwasher while your at work. The fridge is handy to know that it's working properly and having the temps available.
9:18 Organization is important when you have a huge refrigerator. If you don't keep it organized, you won't find what you are looking for, you'll forget what you have in it, and you'll waste food because it spoils.
LG has a fridge that will scan the stuff you put in it, and when you go up to it later, it will give you recipes that can be made out of the stuff in your fridge. They use a forklift to get to the stuff on the upper shelves. My wife worked at the local home depot for several years.
I have a smart fridge, stove, microwave and washer and dryer. My husband works from home, so I can silence them from my phone when he's working. It also helps if I forget to turn the dryer off before leaving the house.
Live in Atlanta. One of my best friends from college works at Home Depot corporate - it’s based in Atlanta. She’s in logistics with shipping and stuff (and is working her way up). I’ll never forget basically not hearing from her for MONTHS during the shipping stoppage during Covid. The purchasing and logistics and all that is bonkers. Before Covid, she was over in China all the time for purchasing or production or whatever.
Hey Adam, my hubby shops at Home Depot and has done so for over 20 years. One time he took our teenage son with him. While looking for something on the bottom shelf, one of the employees passed behind him and just casually said "hello Tim". Mind you, the guy couldn't see my husband's face. Our son remarked, "Dad, how often are you coming here? They know you without looking at your face!" Yep, it's addictive 😅😂😊
Shirt, hat is the University Of Georgia mascot. The Georgia Bulldogs or referred to as "The Dawgs". Home Depot is the largest home supply/improvement store in the North America which is Headquartered and founded in Atlanta Georgia.
Love your T-shirt!! It's the University of Georgia athletic teams, the Bulldogs! It's in Athens, Georgia and we currently have the #1 NCAA football team! Go Dawgs!!!
I did a lot of shopping for display and maintenance depts. Nothing like being the designated gofor during the days before the hurrucane comes. Grab a cart get everything on the list sign for it at the register and take it back so the guys can continue putting hurricane shutters up on the glass fronts of the store and the auto shop.
Just an FYI for the europeans out there. The higher, out of reach, shelves just have more of the same thing that's beneath them. Instead of having a store room in the back for extra product warehouse stores, such as Home Depot or Costco, simply store their extra stock on the higher shelves. If they run out of a product on the display shelves they bring a fork lift over and bring a new pallet of product down to restock the lower shelf. Edit: I forgot to mention that Home Depot doesn't use fork lifts in the store area. They have staircases on wheels which the staff use to access the higher shelves.
The stuff at the top is just stock for the stuff at the bottom, you aren't expected to get anything from there unless there isn't anymore on the shelf. Then an employee with a ladder will help you and they will restock the shelf at the same time.
"I need that for the three days we have sun." Mate, that's a year round tool for the production of good eats. Come visit Maine where you will find plenty of people who shovel snow from around their grills/smokers to use them even in the depths of winter. There was a long heritage of winter ice fishing here, and smoking has long been a preservation method. You can find similar heritages in places like Norway and Finland, where it's just normal to be stoking smoke houses through the cold months.
They just combined a complete lumber yard, hardware store, appliance store, general retail store. garden nursery and outdoors recreational shop under a roof then enclosed it with 4 walls. Before you had to each specialty store individually.
I used to work at Lowe's which is a Home improvement store just like Home Depot. I put a steps tracker on my phone and realized I walked an average of 3-5 miles every workday. Great way to stay fit!
What you didn't really see was the 20% of the store devoted to just lumber and trim, aisles full of wall insulation, electrical, hardware, paint and stucco, power tools, pest control chemicals...it just goes on...then outside is a garden center that has fencing, flower pots, trees, plants of every type, concrete, DIY shed kits, etc... AND...Home Depot a few competitors. So if you don't find what you need at HD, you have options.
You can literally walk in there and get EVERYTHING it takes to build a house with all the appliances and outdoor stuff. Then go to Sam's Club or Costco for all the rest.
You really need to see the tools an lumber at Home Depot. You can build an entire house from there, I have done it. They have way more power tools than you can imagine. From automotive to carpentry tools, they literally have it all. There is also Lowe's Building Supply which almost the same thing.
You can get a very good fridge for under $1k if you like the top freezer and single door. The French Door with bottom freezer models are more expensive, generally over $1K. Those models over $2K are specialty or designer models in general.
Nice. Thank you for letting us know
That’s how I got my front door lock set on my Pennsylvania house, a penny. 🤪
I have never heard of that. AWSOME!!!!
You luck dawg!!
You can also buy carpet , curtains, some wallpaper, tile and flooring. And you can order furniture and more online.
And every 27th customer gets a ball-peen hammer free.
I work maintenance for a local city. The greatest day of my life was when I went to Home Depot, while on the clock, getting paid by taxpayers dollars, to go shopping at Home Depot. Let me emphasize, I GOT PAID TO GO SHOPPING AT HOME DEPOT! And it was taxpayers money😂 I called my mom and told her dad’s laughing his ass off in heaven because this is the promised land!
dude contractors charge a percentage on materials they do the same!
As a taxpayer, you're welcome and I'm happy you got to live the dream thanks to my 1/10th of a penny. Cheers.
Jokes on you i dont pay taxes
While I worked as a US DoD courier, I would often have to do shopping.
Indeed, it is fun spending other peoples money on Government time.
Thats awesome lol
Us Americans absolutely _LOVE_ buying in bulk
Whatever it takes to keep us from having to go back out shopping for longer😂
Yes! That's what I do! Don't enjoy shopping at all! Internet orders or get what you'll need for 3 months or so. I don't know why people have become so rude, but can't stand to be amongst most of them!
Even though I buy in bulk I still go to Home Depot and Walmart daily in the summer to avoid the heat.
And some of us live to far from the store to keep going back every week America is A very big place .
When it's a 30 minute drive to the store, you want to make as few trips as possible
@999maza depends on the person. As a former cab driver, a 30 minute drive is just a hop, skip & a jump.
Let's see, an acre is 43560 sq ft, so that's just over 2.5 acres.
@@bobprivate8575 I had no idea how large an acre is. I learn as much from the comments as I do the videos!
Or you can just point out that at 3:13 the rows behind them is labeled 53 and 54... and these are not little grocery store rows.. these are extra wide stacked and at least 15 feet up.
my home depot is a bit smaller than this one, our aisles only go up to 62 and by 54 ur outside, this home depot is one of the biggest
They have rolling stairs. If you look back (3:47) you can see the top of a bright orange one in the background. It looks like a steel cage next to the white post. There is a sign on them, "Employees only" for safety reasons. Usually, the very top shelves are for storage of excess items. There are usually the same items at the lower levels for easier access by the public.
and if its a heavy item we use the machine at 4:27 the electric ladder
@@franksmith4730 Very true. I hate seeing a package showing 24 count BUT LIKE 48 count etc...
So did you end up getting a different fridge that was just as cool? I'm invested in your problem now. 😂
I suspect the frig was orange, because it's Home Depot's color XD
@@KimKinzer They may have chosen to display the Orange because of that. That is a very observant comment.
Home Depot also has free monthly kids project where kids learn to put fun building projects together as young as 2 years old
for the one i work at it's the 1st saturday every month
@@Cooki3reaperright. The first Saturday of every month. I take my toddler and he always have fun
That sounds divine. The aromatics of the coffee along with its natural bitterness works as an amazing seasoning or flavoring.
I want a smart range only because I travel. Knowing that I can check to see if I left the stove on is... comforting.
the fridge with the screen you knock twice and it becomes a window and the inside illuminates to see what's in it without opening which is also a half door you can open, I'm shopping for one and like it
Hey we have one of those
It's always a window but the light comes on when you knock
Are those the ones that are connected to Alexa and can check what you have, when it's low, and then reorder items you need every week or whenever you want it?
Dream fridge!
Home Depot, Lowe's and Costo are Disneyland for adults. It costs you about $150.00 every time you go there.
I absolutely agree 😂😂😂
Once you visit a Costco once you never want to shop elsewhere again 😂
Once a Costco junkie always a Costco junkie 😂
one zero shy there bud.
Now cashiers are replaced, so you can't even ask them where anything is.
Maybe they're just avoiding you
I work at Home Depot.
Neat story!
0:21 Home deep O that's how you pronounce it.
They dont need us. All we need to do is give them a sack of dirty clothes.
I live in Canada and I both when it is snowing lol
Also, I have a French door fridge with the freezer drawer.
Don't forget Ace Hardware stores, too.
'Murica.
Love the GEORGIA shirt!! GO DAWGS!!
I worked at HD for 25yrs. The stores are that big. I loved it. There's a crew that works overnight as well the regular day crew.
No, Home Depot has more stuff, at least where I live.
I love walking around Home Depot, it’s never crowded, and they allow dogs so you usually see some shopping with their humans. lol
actually we don't allow dogs, on the door it says it, but we have to allow service dogs and we can't ask if they are service dogs or not, so we just have to ignore it, and the reason that we have a sign that says no dogs is mainly for ur pets safety cause we have aisles of stuff that can be harmful to the dog, like the pesticide aisle, their could be a ripped bag of pesticide pellets and some of the pellets fell onto the floor and a dog licks it up or someone since there is always someone, opens a bag of screws to see if it is the one they want, yes there are ppl that do it, and they opened the bag too forcefully and the screws fall on the floor and they missed one picking them up and the dog steps on it
Those large containers of laundry soap do not last a year lol.
I used to work at Menards which is a Midwest competitor of Home Depot. The Menards I used to work at was 240,000 square feet
Getting up there on those shelves isn't the difficult part. It's being able to read the box in order to see if you actually want it.
LOL
Mom actually brought me one of those gigantic battery packs from CostCo and there was just zero chance of using them that fast.
Those weren’t smokers. Smokers have a separate firebox attached to the side for indirect heating.
The one with the chimney had the box

Ah, the Beasley's! A great pair! Hey Adam, I think I saw your name on a L3WG video chat! You should collab!😊
Oh, and FYI, some years back I saw a fridge with an honest-to-goddess small television screen in the door.
Home Depot is a contractor store, wood, tools, paint etc. I love the smell of fresh cut wood in Home Depot!
And then when you need to fill your car there is Bucces.....
"How do you get up there?" ask an employee and they have these 'portable stairs' they can bring over &^ get what you want for you.
And then they complain about the cost to fill it up.
3 days of sun in the UK 🤣🤣🤣🤣 c'mon now you can grill when it's raining. I believe in you Adam 💙💙💙💙😂😂😂
No tvs in home depot. Tvs are sold at Walmart, bestbuy and Amazon
i mean we sell tv mounts, so we are close enough
That’s my fridge! lol. It is. It’s great too.
9:18 Organization is important when you have a huge refrigerator. If you don't keep it organized, you won't find what you are looking for, you'll forget what you have in it, and you'll waste food because it spoils.
That fridge price includes the matching stove and microwave,
LG has a fridge that will scan the stuff you put in it, and when you go up to it later, it will give you recipes that can be made out of the stuff in your fridge.
Im going to start calling it Home Dapot just because of you.
Customers don’t get things down from the tops of the shelves. Those items are extras of the items being displayed on the shelves.
Love your T-shirt!! It's the University of Georgia athletic teams, the Bulldogs! It's in Athens, Georgia and we currently have the #1 NCAA football team! Go Dawgs!!!
Sic 'Em !!!
You can get fridges with an ipad built in to the door. My daughter had one.
Adam with the Anchorman quote, "I love lamp."
Hi Adam. Love the shirt! Go Dawgs! Please come visit Georgia if you ever come to the US. I look forward to seeing your videos every day. 😊
Great way to stay fit!
not just the steps, u gotta also factor the items weight ur moving aswell
Live by myself, 24 rolls lasts about 2-3 months... Depending on how much Taco Bell I eat 😂😂
Never been so early 😅. The rubs are for BBQ
Go back to early in the video. You'll see one of the rolling staircases that the employees move around to access high shelves.
I hate it when those rolling staircases are in horrid state. Because it feels like those things are ready to fall apart at any second.
