I retired from HVAC business because it got so complicated I spend 70 percent of my time on my phone looking up info on how to repair or diagnose issues. Every year your almost having to learn every system all over again. I did large industrial hvac work. Some of the equipment is very complex. You almost have to have a College degree in computers or electronics to work on equip now. Let the younger guys fool with this new stuff. Not many younger guys going into hvac business. its hard, dirty and requires a level of grit to stick with it long enough to start making decent money. Normally 10 years to become skilled mechanic.
