      I feel as if I was there silent, dark, all the spaces that could never be finished, and we would do all sorts of things to repair lines together in our tiny town world in the US.

    The design of this house is freaking incredible. I just watched a video on a ranch owners house with 400 acres, and this house could not be better designed, more extravagant, and have a more luxurious feel. The other looked like something out of a sears catalog

    My favourite architect has once again demonstrated his incredible talent......absolutely a masterpiece .....however I feel that a cottage should not be this opulent....... where is the boathouse ......still beyond STUNNING

    This is what Muskoka was needed, a new thing, ultra-luxury, imagine playing basket at the top of the trees. :O

    I think the person who owns this (Probably Drake by the looks of the decor) has missed the point of cottage life. It's to ESCAPE this kind of excess. Not to lug it to the lake with you.

    • @fjbon1681
      @fjbon1681 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Took the words out of my mouth... the second I saw the basketball court I said...Drake! Then the obnoxious glamor of the interior, ostrich skin?? Hair on hide?? This is NOT a cottage, it's over the top luxury... and I love it!!! 😂😂😂 Minus the ostrich skin and hair on hide.

      Yes!!! Exactly. This is not what cottage life is supposed to look like. Some exclusive neighbourhood in Toronto-sure-but not Muskoka! A 40 ft chandelier, come on.

      @brendatruant7404 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree with happycanadianguy!! I wonder if owners of a place like this even put a toe in the lake!? Even the kids… do they go fishing and come home for a fish fry, without staff taking them and cooking for them!? Seriously, this mansion could be anywhere!!!
      What have we done, so people who have been brought up in Ontario can’t afford any kind of lakefront property.
      That’s my opinion/rant. And no, I am not a socialist. Lol

    Clearly Rafauli knows his game. The detail, stone, bathrooms and bedroom decorations are quite something. The front entrance walk, facade, windows and river birch tree plantings, LR vein cut bar, black marble tub, purple bunk beds are beautiful, striking interior. Wearing stilettos down to the dock and not a stick of firewood needed for the fireplaces kinda kills the Muskoka legacy non? A swimming pool on Lake Rosseau? The lake is not clean enough to swim?.. or the owners would fear being bit by a lamprey? The decoration is really superb work Mr. Rafauli and you were just doing your wonders, but the theme of the Lake is something more reminiscent of the Masseys or McLaughlins non?... maybe I need to do more swimming around Bohemia to get this, or more trips to King W or Miami.. and less mid-night boat excursions at Norway Pt to not get run over by the Jet set on their "jet skis". Again, Rafauli it's beautiful work, narrow cliff and steep bluff lot, but great for swan diving from the railings or pines into the deep waterfront. Very dressy inside, I'd be afraid to come in after bass fishing, but each to his own. JW Rosseau did source their stone locally likely in the baths, perhaps Rafauli did here too. It's gorgeous. Truly it's gorgeous. The more times I watch this video the more times I fall in love with this interior. Superb.

    Good videography. The property is just too much. The definition of conspicuous consumption from the Rolls at the gates to the 20 satin pillows on each bed. It is Lake Muskoka, not some Austrian palace.

    This place just doesn't fit with the Muskoka vibe. It's gaudy. Muskoka isn't gaudy. This is new money. Old money doesn't go for this.

    as soon as i see fake decorative fireplaces i know it's absolute pomp and puffery of a place.. there's nothing barely functional in there, isn't it. I would love thee land.. to demolish the house. Then I build a giant, lovely TEEPEE.. set it right down where that monstrosity used to sit.. maybe.. and restore function and style to the Land. xo ^_^

    This city builder should have done his research before he built an over-the-top and tacky monstrosity in Muskoka. He made a big mistake…anyone wonder why a 20M “house” doesn’t have a boathouse? The builder built something bigger than what he was allowed. So the township concluded a boathouse will NEVER be allowed. And anyone who knows Muskoka will never buy this place. It was a beautiful lot. Given this has been on the market for years and counting…this builder has probably (hopefully) learned his lesson. Good luck selling this!! Be sure to let potential clients know to put the boat covers on everytime it rains!😅
