@@Tyber_gsk You put the first layer of wash in black, I guess to give contrast. I am thinking about whether to paint them with white or gray primer, which is what Vallejo recommends for the xpress range, which provides contrast with a single coat and can be mixed with the other ranges or painted over once dry.
Hey. Yes, of course you can do that. But my recommendation is not to use primer at all beacouse it will create thick layer. On 1/72 scale figures layers can cover details.. if you need to use primer it is good to use higly diluted one ,vellejo acrylic primers usually can be diluted with isoprpyl alcohol. my way of painting small figures is to use higly diluted paints to keep contrast from black wash.. Dont be afraid of 1/72 scale figures painting.. all you need is some paints and paintbrushes..! Rest is just fun.!

these figures have soft plastic, very elastic but very difficult to sanding
