Love everything about this band. Always pushing themselves and experimenting. I love MAYU's whistle-tone fry scream, but this clean vocal performance is more than welcome and would be great in a set somewhere between DISSENSION and A RAY OF LIGHT. SAKI shreds my face off every single time and the Laughing Thunder laying it down as brutal as ever. For me though, the star of this track is HAZUKI. Was waiting for NEMOPHILA to unleash that fearless shredder. 🌸✨🌠

What I heard is that Haragushi-san wrote this song. Plus since Mayu is on maternity leave. The rest of the band are planning to do an instrumental concert of their songs. Which will be interesting. It would also be interesting if guest vocalists would sing in Mayu's place until she's ready to come back.

I am a metalhead spanning 40 years, but it has been so long since I have fallen so deeply in love with a single band. I'm going to their anniversary show next month, but I couldn't resist and forced myself to adjust my work schedule to go to the show the day after tomorrow as well. By the way, along with ADABANA and Seize the fate, my favorite is this live version of OIRAN.

Great reaction ! I like the overall groove this song has it hooks you right in. Classic old school 80's,90's metal with wammy bar and taps. If you like Mayu's thrash vocals you will like "Ray of Light" some people can't handle it but I think it is right up your alley. My first thrash metal album was Anthrax "Fist full of Metal". I fell in love with double base drums from that record. "Soliders of Metal" is a great song from that albums. All the best! thx

For me, it’s all about how Saki has somehow made her Marshall sound like a Mesa Boogie Triple Rec i.e. Cannibal Corpse laying down Testament style riffs!💪🏻🤘🏻

You paused in a good spot...I noticed Hazuki rocking an Engl amp. That's two of my favorite Japanese guitarist using them (Teru from Versailles is the other). Those things put out a fantastic sound, but too expensive for me to own 🙁 Only ever played one at Guitar Center. Love Nemophila. Lovebites is a bit more my style playing/writing wise, but I listen to Nemo more often. Great variety and just fantastic musicians all around.
ENGL sounds killer. I like the Fireball 100. I think it's $1,900 at Sweetwater. Tube amps are so expensive now.
I get the Testamanet reference, but when I think about it, I get some early Anthrax vibes if early Anthrax had better production. I think it's because that moment that the bass gets featured reminds me a bit of something Bello would do.
