Being a mindful commuter has been one of the most helpful things to be mindful at work. If I'm driving, I listen to a podcast or some relaxing music. On the train or the subway I love simply focusing on breathing. And it's great, because no one even notices what you're doing! Thanks for the tips on mindfulness in the workplace.

One of the things I like to do came from author Brandon Burchard. He mentions using visual cues to get into a desired state. When I walk into the office buiding, I use the doorways as a visual cue to remind me to smile, have good posture, and show up with joyful energy towards my co-workers

@@AdrianaGirdler I am giggling out loud at "the workplace" idea. I'm an energy worker so my mindfulness breaks are on a whole other level. I'm also an actor so everything I do when acting is about being in the present moment. But this is a great reminder for me to give to my clients who come for energy work.

Thanks Adriana for these tips on how to be mindful at work. I have used the breathing app on my fitbit but it is kind of hit or miss if I remember to do it during the day. I think I will take some of your advice and "schedule" in some mindful breaks by setting an alarm on my fitbit to remind me to take that mindful break and take some deep breaths.
Setting a reminder is very helpful so that you can still get the mindfulness in without having to add another thing to your to-do list. So glad you're incorporating mindfulness into your work day. Cheers!
