It's in homage to Sean Connery's interpretation of the same Character in Kevin Costner's Robin Hood movie.
Love the history of the world part 1 reference "it's good to be the king"
To think this was Dave Chappelle's big screen debut, and what a role it was! He was only 19 or 20 years old at the time.
And the made him wear a dress
I was wondering if that was him or not. That's awesome such a good movie.
And he still looks the same 😂
Man i hope someone video tapes this thing
And the snapback bycocket hat 👌
Love it when he goes into Churchill mode and puts the peasants to sleep!
And then Chappelle goes Malcolm X on them.
It's so funny
Indeed. He very smoothly became Churchill, too.
That speech Robin gave after they lent him their ears. Inimitable. We shall never hear its like again.
Wasn't that a mockery of Churchill
Such a great Cameo from Patrick Stewart. Making fun of Sean Connery's accent (from his cameo in the Kevin Costner version).
It was more of an ode because Sean wanted to be in this movie too but was too expensive
When he asked the sneezing guy if he knew preying mantis

Only Mel Brooks could take an idiom like "lend me your ears" and think "yeah, what if that was taken literally".
How can I "hear you now" after "lending you my ear"?
I like to think that before he would sit down and write Shakespear would think. '2B or not 2B' when deciding which pencil to use.
