* Garnacha is known as Cannonau in Italy, mainly produced in Sardinia * Old Tempranillo vines have been found in Italy. In parts of Basilicata in particular, some vines that were being identified by wineries as Malvasia Nera are, in fact, Tempranillo * Carignan or Mazuelo or also known as Cariñena
The moors never stopped the production of wine. The caliphs never stopped production of wine and they even, some of them, owned vineyards. Yes the production volume went down but the production of wine never stopped.
thanks for the great video. However the terminology Sweetnes should be taken out as the majority of wines are dry. If they are sweet then we are talking about 'dessert wines'.
Informative.... however he has one weakness to his videos: keeps the camera on himself !! People tune in to see the area... not look at the narrator! Please turn the camera around and allow viewers to see the area ... whilst sharing information. Tx
When I visited Spain in mid-September to Oct 2019, I never had a bad glass of wine. Crianza and Reserva were very good. I was never disappointed.

Good video; but a couple of your details on ageing is wrong. Crianza is minimum 6 months in oak and Gran Reserva is minimum 18 months in oak.
ca.riojawine.com/en/9-types-of-wine.html
Acually the 6 month aging requirement is for white wines of Rioja. The minimun aging for Crianza Rioja is 1 year in barrel and 1 year in bottle
Great channel, nothing new?
Sorry, u r way off the mark on this stuff!
