I was named after Gary Cooper I was born on the 7th May 1961 my mum and dad were going to call me Barry but whilst going through other names it was announced on the radio the the American Actor GARY Cooper had just been given his last Rites. They both decided there and then on GARY.
If they are womanizers, drunks, and have all sorts of additional addictions, yes, then they do die too young. Wake up and see the truth and not the mirage Hollywood created.
@@Gabriel21733 He was womanizer(which generally does not lead to death) but he wasn't a heavy drinker or drug addict. He was like many people during that time period a smoker, and this is may have contributed to his death from cancer but it did not start in the lungs so it may be he was just pre-disposed. He died before they even put warning labels on cigarettes so it's hardly like he was bucking good advice by smoking, like many other people did at the time.
A great man and a great actor. He perfected the art of naturalistic acting. As this film says, he was a fine comedian as well. I love especially, The Westerner (1940) with Walter Brennan. The barroom scenes are the very best. High Noon (1952) will always be the one he'll be remembered for, with good reason, as Coop is never better. I think the fact that he grew up on a ranch in Montana, combined with a cultured upbringing (even some schooling in England) were part of the magic formula, together with his personality, of course. He was the real deal.
Well said! He was the first great American cinema actor. He showed how the medium could capture the subtlest of facial expression. He full embodied his characters and was never “just playing himself” as some actors did. But neither were his characters were not the artificial creation of make-up and gestures. I recently watched “Bright Leaf” and “Good Sam” back to back. Whatever you think of those films, Cooper is brilliant in both. And he fully captures these characters that couldn’t be more different.
Gary Cooper was probably d best actor in Hollywood, because of his versatility. He was natural in every role he played, and help america to win d hearts of d rest of d world. His legacy is untouchable.RIP Gary!
Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda, Gary Cooper, Gregory Peck, Laurence Olivier, Cary Grant. All of these men were gods and they fit my taste far more than the more popular actors: Marlon Brando, James Dean, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro. I prefer the heroes and exemplary noble souls to the greyer darker humans.

Gary Cooper Had A Gifted Special Talent As A Pure Excellent Hollywood Actor As Any Part He Got In A Movie He Could Just Mold That Acting Part In Perfection.
Coop a conservative Republican, for the most part stuck by High Noon screenwriter Carl Foreman who was a target of HUAC. However another conservative Rep, John Wayne called the movie "the most un-American thing he had ever seen" and some sources claim he tried to get Coop blacklisted as a result
Cooper was a Republican, but Patricia Neal, who had an affair with him, said he wasn't "right-wing." Even though he testified at the HUAC hearings as a "friendly" witness, he ended up protecting people by not naming any names or identifying any scripts (you can read the hearing transcript online). He had plenty of friends who were liberal, including Hemingway. In fact, Cooper supported FDR's New Deal policies, but Hemingway didn't.

As Tony Soprano said : “Whatever happened to Gary Cooper, the strong silent type?” :-)
That's y I'm here
Gary Cooper was so much more than that. His facial expressions spoke volumes on screen. And, as his daughter said, he had a lot to say in real life.
Such beautiful eyes.

He’s a good person to be named after. Did you know that he was born as Frank?
So handsome!!!
They don't make men like this anymore....Sigh. Swoon! I could listen to Coop talk all day.
A real gentleman, on the screen and in real life, R.I.P. beautiful person.
That picture of him with his daughter at the very end of the video brought a tear to my eye. All of the greats seem to die too soon.
Beautiful picture at the end.

One of the worst performing actors ever. The Fountainhead should go down as one of the worst films ever as well
I've watched two of his films, Mr. Deeds Goes To Town and For Whom The Bell Tolls.
He is the American Hero that everybody needs. 🇺🇸🌤
